00:00The Interconnection Project in Mindanao, Cebu, Negros, and Panay was successfully carried out by the Department of Energy.

00:08It has a 400 to 450 megawatts export that is expected to make the country's electricity supply stronger.

00:15The DOE also shared their other accomplishments for 2024.

00:21According to Energy Secretary Rafael Otilia,

00:24despite the experience of El Niño, the operation of the hydro power plant continued

00:29while the Renewable Energy Projects and Green Energy Auctions were strengthened

00:34to strengthen the energy supply.

00:36In the electrification program, it reached 1.6 million,

00:40which is equivalent to the electricity provided in 2024.

00:44In the Philippine Energy Plan 2023-2050,

00:48the Pump Storage Hydro was built in 2030 and the Nuclear Power Plants were approved.

00:54The cooperation with other countries for investments in renewable energy and energy storage systems also continued.

01:02The DOE assured that there will be enough electricity for the upcoming 2025

01:08under the Task Force on Energy Resiliency.

01:13So our targets, we are on track with our targets to reduce energy intensity.

01:22We are using energy in every product or service that we should reduce.

01:31We should produce more from less energy and that requires the cooperation of everyone.

01:43The Department of Energy also gave a good tip for the use of e-vehicles.

01:48According to the Department of Energy Secretary Rafael Otilia,
