Marcos bets confident of overwhelming support in Negros Oriental
Senatorial candidates of the Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas are confident that they would get the overwhelming support from Negros Oriental in the May midterm polls. The administration's ticket continues its campaign here in Dumaguete City on Feb. 20, 2025 in a bid to replicate President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s landslide victory in the second most populous province in Central Visayas. Negros Oriental is a crucial battleground for the Alyansa, given its 976,185 registered voters, and a historically high 85.22 percent voter turnout in the 2022 elections.

00:00Good evening to all of you, to all of our media partners here in Sumagete,
00:08to the President of the National Media,
00:11thank you for your support to us.
00:14Thank you to our countrymen for this program.
00:17Good evening to all of you.
00:20The President is one of the very big negros
00:26and I do believe that his performance will speak for itself
00:30and it will bring down to the light the youngsters.
00:33I'll give you one example.
00:35We know what happened before him
00:37that made you sufficiently boogered,
00:39did it not?
00:41You're about to respond.
00:43And I was told by the Secretary of the Directorate.
00:45We came here with the police.
00:47In Manilo,
00:49the people are sad
00:51because of what happened.
00:53But look at the negros of now.
00:55Look at Sumagete right now.
00:57I was talking with the regional director,
01:01with the provisional police
01:03and he was talking to the city.
01:05He said to us,
01:07you're the one who pointed this out.
01:09This was one and a half years ago.
01:11You couldn't even listen to all of them
01:14and handle it now.
01:16I'm like that.
01:19Long live the people of Manilo.
01:21May the people be happy.
01:23And that is way more important
01:25than anything else.
01:27And I think it will speak for itself.
01:29That will speak for the
01:31government of our president
01:33and that will speak
01:35for the platforms of alliance.
01:37We are very confident
01:39that the negros
01:41because of the fact
01:43because of the fact
01:45because of the fact
01:47that we have a president here
01:49you won't be able to
01:51have a president
01:53because there are a lot of
01:55people who live in Manilo.
01:57So it's very important
01:59that we have alliances.
02:01At the same time,
02:03we have a president
02:05because of the improvement
02:07of the building
02:09of my seat place
02:11right here
02:14I have a lot of young
02:16vegetarians who qualify
02:18in Singapore
02:20when we buy
02:22LGU
02:24if we're going to be building
02:26a building in LGU
02:28in the second half of next year
02:30I'm going to go to Australia
02:32in Congress or here in Congress
02:34I might be the one who will be going back
02:36to Senegal.
02:38We're very confident
02:40and at the same time
02:42we're very confident
02:44and at the same time
02:46we're very confident
02:48that the negros
02:50will be able to go abroad
02:52if we have an alliance.
02:54An endorsement
02:56from a popular endorser
02:58will definitely boost
03:00or help the chances
03:02of those being endorsed.
03:04You yourself stated a while ago
03:06in your statement
03:08that the president overwhelmingly
03:11it's up to us to improve the people
03:13on our platforms
03:15on our accomplishments
03:17and so the way to do it
03:19is the same way
03:21that we are campaigning
03:23in the other parts of Jakarta.
03:27Good afternoon, everyone.
03:29This is the group
03:31for the people of the Philippines
03:33who are confident
03:35in building
03:37our building here
03:39and also
03:41for the people
03:43who know
03:45the president
03:47here.
03:49So the program
03:51of the new
03:53alliance
03:55is for the people
03:57of the Philippines
03:59who are focused
04:01on building
04:03a better life
04:05for the people of the Philippines.
04:08So that is our focus
04:10who are
04:12one of the
04:14public members
04:16of the alliance.
04:20Obviously, because
04:22the president is endorsing us
04:24and if you look at the line-up
04:2612 members of the alliance
04:28were
04:30confident that
04:32the people of
04:34Denko Sokietalo
04:36can see the
04:38experience
04:40and the help
04:42that we have given the country
04:44the effort that's public so much
04:46that we have shown.
04:48I, for one,
04:50I will remind you
04:52that I made the CPU group
04:54myself in Denko Sokietalo.
04:56So with the president's
04:58backing, I think the answer
05:00is yes. Thank you, sir.
05:02How did you do that?
05:04By informing the people
05:06reminding the people of what we have
05:08done for them and what we can be
05:10able to do again.
05:12More of what we have
05:14done already.
05:16First, we are very happy to be here
05:18in Tumagete and also
05:20in Denko Sokietalo to
05:22introduce ourselves and
05:24also to show support
05:26for the
05:28actions and for the
05:30program of
05:32our dear president, President
05:34Bobo Marcos, Jr.
05:36We hope that the CPU
05:38that they have welcomed
05:40him and appreciated his efforts
05:42they will welcome us as well.
05:44We support all
05:46the president's actions
05:48and spoken for themselves.
05:50He has supported
05:52Tumagete and Denko Sokietalo
05:54and contributed a lot, especially
05:56in peace and order.
05:58There are also other programs for
06:00livelihood and jobs
06:02that we would also like to support
06:04and propagate. Hopefully,
06:06all of our
06:08Tumagayans here
06:10in Denko Sokietalo
06:12see that.
06:14We always say that we are going
06:16in.
06:18Doing in the area that we are
06:20going in to.
06:22I guess
06:24the fact that the president won here
06:26in 2022 is an
06:28important moment, especially if you are part of
06:30the administration.
06:32If you notice
06:34the speech of the president,
06:36consistently, he says
06:38how many of us are still young?
06:40How many of us are still young?
06:42How many of us have
06:44experience in government?
06:46We are
06:48chosen based on our
06:50track record, based on
06:52our qualities,
06:54our capabilities,
06:56what we can give to
06:58what kind of services we can give to the government.
