00:00More than 50 Chinese vessels were monitored in the West Philippine Sea,

00:04but China was the only one to land in the Philippines.

00:08This also prevented the dangerous flight of their helicopter near the BIFAR airfield.

00:21When the Philippine Coast Guard and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources patrolled the BIFAR in Kalayaan Island Group yesterday,

00:27six Chinese maritime militia vessels were spotted in the Ruzul or Iroquois Reef,

00:31which is 138 nautical miles or just over 200 kilometers away from Palawan.

00:37It was previously guarded by BRP Teresa Magbanwa because of China's fear of the artificial island.

00:43In the Pagasa Island, which is occupied by the Philippines,

00:46a Chinese Coast Guard ship and militia vessels were spotted, more than 50 of them.

00:51But the Philippines was the target of China.

00:55It was illegal to enter its airspace, so it was blocked and the Philippine aircrafts were shot down.

01:01China also prevented the approach of its helicopter to the BIFAR and PCG airfields on February 18.

01:08According to China, when it entered their airspace,

01:11the Philippine aircrafts changed flight altitudes several times and suddenly landed even though they were not allowed to.

01:18The Philippine helicopter that was shot down by China made a dangerous maneuver.

01:24It was controlled by the embassies of some countries such as South Korea and the United Kingdom.

01:30They then called for international law.

01:33According to the National Maritime Council or NMC,

01:36the Philippines still has no ability to control the West Philippine Sea

01:40so that China's patrolling there will increase.

01:45For 2024 alone, they deployed 1,480 vessels.
