00:00The Mahakumbh in Prayagraj is now in its final stages.
00:06In the last days of Mahakumbh, where the enthusiasm of the devotees is increasing,
00:11at the same time, the period of accusation against the purity of Ganga water in the Kumbh is also increasing.
00:18Recently, in a report of the Centre Pollution Control Board, it was said that
00:23the water of Ganga and Sangam in Prayagraj is neither suitable for bathing, nor is it suitable for pollination.
00:31The Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath, has already announced a conspiracy
00:36about the purity of Ganga water in this report.
00:40At the same time, Professor Umesh Kumar Singh of the Environmental Science Centre at Allahabad University
00:46has also raised questions on the CPCB report.
00:49He said that there is a shortage of data in this report and it is not clearly stated about the causes of pollution.
00:57In addition, the reason for the increase in fecal coliform has also not been stated.
01:02The report released by the Central Pollution Control Board in New Delhi a few days ago,
01:07in that report, somewhere, the data that should be shown, is lagging.
01:16This means that the data is missing.
01:19When I look at the data, I can see that the DO level, the dissolved oxygen level is good.
01:26The bathing condition, the water that should be suitable for bathing, can be seen in that range.
01:31Dissolved oxygen.
01:32The level of BOD, which is suitable for bathing, can also be seen.
01:37But suddenly, when I look at the data, the fecal coliform is increasing a lot.
01:45So, the source of this CPCB should be mentioned somewhere.
01:51Because if it is coming from sea waste or industrial waste,
01:58and it is getting mixed in the water of Ganga and Yamuna,
02:02then the value of these two, nitrate, phosphate and other nutrients should also increase.
02:08That is totally missing in their data.
02:11You will be able to link it.
02:13For example, there are many studies like this,
02:17when you go for a bath,
02:21there is a possibility of certain amount of fecal coliform or other bacteria coming out of the body.
02:31So, you are not telling the source of industrial effluent.
02:34You are not telling the source of sea waste.
02:37You are not talking about nitrate and phosphate.
02:40Fecal coliform is seen to be increased in it.
02:44While DO is within the limit.
02:47BOD is also within the limit.
02:49And DO is quite favourable.
02:51That is, 7, 8, 9, 10 mg per litre can be seen.
02:57So, somewhere there is a question mark on this data.
03:03Prof. Ramesh Kumar Singh has asked the Central Pollution Control Board
03:07to re-examine the data related to Ganga water pollution.
03:12He has also said that according to the report,
03:17Ganga, Yamuna and Sangam water is suitable for bathing in Mahakumbh.
03:22There is no doubt about this.
03:25It will be my request to the Central Pollution Control Board
03:28to re-analyse the data,
03:31pick up the sample again and re-check the data.
03:36And look at these three or four data
03:40to see if there is anything missing in it.
03:44Or why is this data being mismatched
03:48or showing inconsistent data.
03:52Based on the current data of CPCB,
03:58we can say that Sangam, Ganga and Yamuna water
04:03are suitable for bathing in Mahakumbh.
04:06And you can bathe in it.
04:08It is obvious that by submitting the CPCB report,
04:11opposition leaders are continuously raising questions
04:14about the purity of Ganga water.
04:16But the U.P. government is continuously
04:19telling this report to be a conspiracy.
04:22And they are appealing to the opposition
04:25not to get involved in any rumour.
