00:00The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority and JICA, or Japan International Cooperation Agency,
00:07are working together to resolve the long-standing problem of heavy traffic in the National Capital Region.
00:13An agreement was signed by MMDA Chair Armando Artes and JICA Chief Representative to the Philippines, Sakamoto Takema.
00:22The agreement aims to strengthen MMDA's ability to reduce traffic flow
00:29through the expansion of the Intelligent Transportation System, or ITS.
00:36This includes the proper implementation of traffic signals, CCTV, communication network, and more.
00:42Artes said that this project is in line with the plan of the Marcos Administration
