00:00PNP-CIDG arrested the man who introduced him as an undersecretary and sold his position to the government.

00:07Details of this were brought to the attention of PTV Manila's Ryan Desigues.

00:24PNP-CIDG arrested another man in a hotel in Pasay City.

00:32The suspect was arrested, known as Simeon Sander de la Cruz,

00:36because of his standing warrant of arrest in the Stafa case.

00:39According to PNP-CIDG Director of Police Major General Nicolás Torre III,

00:43the suspect was a former employee of First Family.

00:46When First Family lost their relationship,

00:49he was involved in illegal activities such as bribery in some private individuals

00:54and committed 3 to 5 percent of the crimes.

00:58De la Cruz said that he introduced him as an undersecretary and sold his position to the government.

01:04Aside from the pictures he was shown with First Family,

01:08he confessed to his targets who were his victims because he worked for First Family.

01:15But lately, he introduced himself as an undersecretary

01:18and sold his contracts to the government

01:23and asked for 3 to 5 percent of the contract price of the commission kickbacks.

01:29So he had victims beforehand and those were the ones who filed a complaint against him.

01:35Torre said that De la Cruz's camcam is worth P100 million

01:41because it is a big project.

01:43It includes infrastructure, roads, supplies, and more.

01:48As you can see, we arrested him in Barongpang, Cagalangalang.

01:53In Pinabarongpa, in a five-star hotel.

01:57So there are things that he is doing, misrepresentation,

02:02that his principals will definitely not tolerate, which is what he is using, First Family.

02:10The operation of the CIDG started after the office of the president

02:14was accused because of the number of complaints they received

02:18regarding the fraud he is doing.

02:20Well, contracts, supplies, things like that.

02:23So that is what we want to tell the public

02:27that there are still people who are using those contracts,

02:32supposedly connections, to the government.

02:35Don't believe them.

02:37There is a high probability, 100 percent, that the government will not tolerate them.

02:43Torre urged other victims to approach his office.

02:47Torre is also aware of those who are planning to commit fraud

02:51and those who are continuously doing bad things.

02:54They stopped. Sooner or later, we will reach them.

02:59Meanwhile, we tried to get De la Cruz's name,

03:02but he refused to speak.

03:04Meanwhile, the suspect was released after being fined P90,000.
