00:00The F-A-50 fighter jet of the Philippine Air Force was found missing in the aftermath of the Tactical Night Operation Song Martes.

00:08In bad luck, the two pilots who were on board were also found dead.

00:19Past 10 am on Wednesday morning,

00:21the wrecked F-A-50 fighter jet of the Philippine Air Force was found in Mt. Kalatungan, Bukidnon.

00:28The F-A-50 fighter jet was the first to be found missing on Tuesday

00:31after the communication in the aftermath of the Tactical Night Operation was lost.

00:36In bad luck, the two pilots who were on board were also found dead.

00:42The PAF said that there is an indication that the pilots were not able to eject the F-A-50 before it crashed.

00:48We have to await the assessment.

00:52There are different versions of the F-A-50.

00:57Some say that the F-A-50 is sitting, others say that it was thrown out of the aircraft.

01:02We really need to check the scene where the F-A-50 crashed.

01:09The PAF did not give the identification of the pilots in the wing.

01:13But they were able to contact the family.

01:15The Armed Forces of the Philippines also confirmed

01:18that the F-A-50 crashed during an operation against communist groups in Bukidnon.

01:26This is the AFP operations through the 403rd Infantry Brigade

01:32engaged with the New People's Army in Barangay Iba, Kabaglasan in Bukidnon.

01:39As of now, 11 more F-A-50 jets of the PAF are grounded while the investigation continues.

01:46The PAF confirmed that all of their pilots who are qualified in flying fighter jets

01:52have sufficient training as part of the night and day operations.

01:56As of now, the target is to be able to carry out the investigation quickly.

02:00The F-A-50 also has a big role in the external defense of the Philippines

02:06and patrolling the maritime domain.

02:08We have our other fixed-wing aircraft that we can deploy

02:14to do our maritime patrol and monitoring of our territorial waters

02:19as well as our areas within the Exclusive Economic Zone.

02:23Definitely, it has an effect.

02:26The impact is big because if we don't have fighter aircraft available.

02:33This is the so-called first major incident involving the F-A-50

02:38that was purchased in South Korea and delivered to the Philippines from 2015 to 2017.

02:44The F-A-50s were tested in various operations including the Marawi Siege in 2017.

02:51Our fighter jets also flew for the first time in the pitch-black exercises in Australia last year

02:59along with other exercises.

03:02The latest was last month in a bilateral exercise between the Philippines and France in the West Philippine Sea.
