02:41Today, like every day, there is a topic
02:43and it is related to our daily transmission
02:47of the reformation of the society.
02:48Today's topic is also of great importance.
02:51Some things are generally adopted in our society
02:56which we think
02:58that their effect or their effects,
03:02especially their negative effects,
03:05are removed from our minds.
03:07In the light of the Holy Quran and Sunnah,
03:09today, God willing, we will talk about
03:10the prohibition of alcohol.
03:12And this is a very important topic.
03:14Certainly, we should know about
03:16the commandments of Allah and His Messenger
03:18and the negative effects of alcohol
03:20which we will talk about today.
03:24Let us introduce you to our guests.

08:34The one who has not come to demand.
08:36The one who has not come to demand all his life.
08:39Let's start the discussion.
08:41Dr. Sir, let's start.
08:43The prohibition of alcohol is not a common thing.
08:46In fact, in the Hakeem and Sunnat-e-Rasool,
08:49in the Hadith-e-Mubaraka,
08:51how did it come?
08:53Please guide us in the light of that.
08:55In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
08:57Thank you very much, Dr. Saroj Sain Naqshbandi.
09:02Today, you have chosen a very important topic for the discussion.
09:06But, in the beginning, I was worried that
09:10the full light of Ramadan is coming,
09:14blessings are coming,
09:16and what could be the reason for choosing such a topic?
09:20But, when I thought about it,
09:23the explanation that came to my mind was that
09:26this is a month in which
09:28it is the best time to leave such bad habits.
09:33It is a month to improve one's morals.
09:35To improve one's morals and to avoid bad habits.
09:37So, if someone has such a bad habit,
09:40among our Muslim brothers,
09:42then this is a time to get rid of it.
09:45Right.
09:46So, regarding the prohibition of alcohol,
09:50initially, we should know that
09:54it was not prohibited in the beginning of Islam.
09:57Right.
09:58And, Islam…
09:59There are some topics which were gradually…
10:01Gradually.
10:02Because, the area in which the light of Islam spread,
10:06that area was such that
10:08we still call it the era of ignorance.
10:11That is, in that, all the situations of ignorance were found there.
10:16It was the breeding ground of ignorance.
10:19One of those ignorance was alcoholism.
10:22Right.
10:23So, Islam did not end it immediately.
10:26Because, in Islam, we say that it is the religion of nature.
10:28Right.
10:29And, if it is the religion of nature,
10:31then it works according to the nature.
10:33The nature says that
10:34if a person becomes addicted to a bad habit,
10:36if he gets addicted to a bad habit,
10:38then do not end it immediately.
10:41Right.
10:42If you end it immediately,
10:43then it will create a problem for him.
10:45Similarly, the prohibition of alcohol also came gradually.
10:48Right.
10:49So, in these three stages,
10:51alcohol was declared as Haram.
10:53Right.
10:54Among them, the first verse that was revealed,
10:56in relation to its prohibition,
10:58in which it was not categorically declared as Haram.
11:00Right.
11:01Rather, it was stated to be a sin.
11:03Right.
11:04It is mentioned in the Holy Quran,
11:06that,
11:11O Beloved!
11:12The companions ask the Prophet,
11:15about gambling and alcohol.
11:18Right.
11:19It can also be said that,
11:21they were kept together.
11:22Right.
11:27So, you can say that,
11:28there is a very big sin in both of them.
11:30Right.
11:31So, here,
11:33it is categorically stated to be a sin.
11:36Right.
11:38In this, there will be some benefits for people.
11:40Right.
11:41What are the benefits?
11:42It can be beneficial for trade.
11:44And,
11:46the temporary benefit they get from it.
11:49Right.
11:50This can be beneficial.
11:51But, it is further stated that,
11:56But, their sin,
11:58is more severe than their benefit.
12:00Allahu Akbar.
12:01So, it is the choice of the people,
12:02whether they want to go towards sin,
12:04or towards its ordinary benefit.
12:06Right.
12:07So, this was the first blow,
12:08which was given to them.
12:09Right.
12:10After that,
12:11when the verse was revealed again,
12:13it was stated that,
12:15la taqrabus salata wa antum suqara.
12:18Right.
12:19hatta ta'lamu ma taqooloon.
12:20Right.
12:21That, O believers,
12:22Now, here, the address is from the believers.
12:23Right.
12:24This means that,
12:25there were some believers,
12:26who used to drink alcohol,
12:27used to consume alcohol.
12:28Because, the address is telling us,
12:30that the address is from the believers.
12:31Right.
12:32From here, we will resume,
12:33Dr. Sahib,
12:34a small,
12:35Waqf-e-Nazneen,
12:36stay with us,
12:37we will return,
12:38after a short break.
12:40Yes, dear viewers,
12:41we welcome you,
12:42after the break.
12:43You are watching the program,
12:44Allah-e-Muashara,
12:45and today,
12:46we are talking about,
12:47the prohibition of alcohol.
12:48Before the break,
12:49the gradual commandments,
12:50that have been given,
12:51in the Holy Quran,
12:52regarding the prohibition of alcohol,
12:53the first, the second, and the third,
12:54we were talking about that,
12:55and I would like,
12:56Dr. Sahib,
12:57to complete that later.
12:58Yes, Dr. Sahib,
12:59at the second stage,
13:00the believers,
13:01in the state of Namaz,
13:02were forbidden to consume alcohol.
13:03Right.
13:04la taqrabus salata wa antum suqara.
13:05In the first stage,
13:06the warning was given,
13:07it was stated that,
13:08it is a sin.
13:09In the second stage,
13:10it was stated that,
13:11during Namaz,
13:12it should not be consumed.
13:13Now, there is a lot of concern,
13:14regarding the prohibition of Namaz.
13:15That is,
13:16a lot of the believers,
13:17left the first stage,
13:18and a few,
13:19left the stage of Namaz.
13:20Now,
13:21a few were left,
13:22because,
13:23the clear commandment,
13:24had not yet been given.
13:25Right, right.
13:26So, in the third stage,
13:27Allah-the-Blessed-and-the-Merciful,
13:28revealed the clear commandment,
13:29and said,
13:30innamal khamru,
13:31wal-maysiru,
13:32wal-ansabu,
13:33wal-azlamu,
13:34rijsum min amali shaitan,
13:35fajtanibuhu,
13:36la'allakum tuflihoon.
13:37Right, right.
13:38That,
13:39this alcohol,
13:40should not be consumed,
13:41Right, right.
13:42That, this alcohol,
13:43gambling,
13:44and robberies,
13:45are satanic actions,
13:46Right, right.
13:47And, they are immorality.
13:48Right.
13:49And, the satanic actions are,
13:50fajtanibuhu,
13:51lest from this,
13:52la'allakum tuflihoon,
13:53so that you will be like the philop.
13:54Right.
13:55Once this command was given,
13:56alcohol was totally prohibited.
13:57And,
13:58every kind of business,
13:59like business,
14:00of alcohol,
14:01business,
14:02even those who were in someone's house,
14:03they removed all the pots,
14:04Right.
14:05and alcohol was totally banned.
14:06Right.
14:07Dr. Mohammed Azhar Abbasi,
14:08you are a lawyer,
14:09right?
14:10Muhammad Azhar Abbasi sahab has come with us.
14:13When we talk about the prohibition of the Holy Qur'an,
14:16it is important for us to see that this is the commandment of Allah for the believers.
14:21So in the other Shariahs and other religions,
14:25there was also a prohibition of the Holy Qur'an.
14:28Sir, thank you very much.
14:30In the question you have asked,
14:33the most beautiful thing for us to understand is that
14:36usually there is a misconception in our society
14:41that perhaps only Islam has declared alcohol as Haram.
14:46This is such a misconception that we should talk about
14:51that not only in the Sami religions,
14:55but even in the non-Sami religions,
14:58there are clear provisions regarding the prohibition of alcohol and its impurity.
15:04When we talk about the beginning of this,
15:07there is yet another misconception that
15:10it all began with Prophet Noah.
15:13When Allah the Almighty saved his boat from the flood,
15:19he first planted a vineyard.
15:22This is also a wrong tradition.
15:26The truth is that the text of the Pyramid of Egypt,
15:31or the text of the Mesopotamian civilization,
15:36if we look at their texts,
15:41we find the mention of alcohol there as well.
15:44And the thing that has spoilt those kings the most is alcohol.
15:49After that, if we come to the non-religious religions,
15:53whose texts are present in front of us,
15:56the oldest religion among them is Hinduism.
15:59And in the Rig Veda, it is mentioned that
16:03you should stay away from alcohol.
16:07After this, if we go to the non-Semitic religion,
16:13which is Buddhism.
16:15And there are ten commandments of Buddhism.
16:18Out of those ten commandments,
16:20the fifth commandment is that
16:22if you want to be successful in life,
16:25then stay away from every kind of intoxication.
16:28It is specified in that.
16:30And if we come to the religious religions,
16:34then in the oldest religions, we have Judaism.
16:37If we look at its Old Testament,
16:40then in the Book of Genesis,
16:42it is mentioned that
16:44you should never touch alcohol.
16:47And after this, if we come to the New Testament,
16:52then in the Old Testament,
16:54Jesus Christ also told his companions
16:58not to touch alcohol.
17:01And in the last, when we talk about Islam,
17:05it is the last and the only religious religion
17:08which does not talk about its prohibition,
17:12but directly sets a punishment and a limit on it.
17:15That if someone drinks alcohol,
17:17he will be whipped eighty times.
17:20Absolutely right.
17:21Thank you very much, Dr. Sahib.
17:23You have explained the situation
17:25in other religions very well.
17:27Shah Sahib, if we go a little further,
17:30when the Quran forbade it,
17:32and in the Bible, the commandment was given
17:35in relation to it,
17:37and then the companions of the Prophet
17:39adopted it and were forbidden from it.
17:41Based on this, the intellectuals
17:43which are damaged,
17:45or the negative effects
17:48are formed,
17:50because of this,
17:52please highlight it a little.
17:54In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
17:56Allahumma Salli ala Sayyidina wa Maulana
17:58Muhammadin wa ala aali Sayyidina wa Maulana
18:01Muhammadin wa barik wa sallim alaih.
18:03First of all, Dr. Sahib,
18:05I thank you and your entire team
18:08that today we are sitting
18:10in the Roop Parwar gathering
18:12with Islah-e-Mashara.
18:14You have chosen a very good topic.
18:17In this, as Dr. Sahib was saying,
18:20the Quran and you,
18:22Sarkar-e-Dawalam,
18:24have given promises about it.
18:26What are its negative effects?
18:28When we look at it from the Quranic reference,
18:31then the same decision is made
18:33that the intellect of man,
18:35which is not complete,
18:37the intellect of consciousness,
18:39is destroyed by its use.
18:41As it was used earlier,
18:43some companions also used it,
18:45but when the last commandment came,
18:48the Ayat No. 90 of Surah Al-Maidah,
18:51which Dr. Sahib recited,
18:53in that respect,
18:55it was done for the same reason
18:57that the intellect of consciousness
18:59is destroyed by it.
19:01Then the question you asked
19:03about the effects of other religions,
19:06that too was based on the same reason.
19:09In other words,
19:11even in Hinduism and Buddhism,
19:13they used to discourage it
19:15because it destroys
19:17the intellect of man.
19:19It stops him.
19:21He does not have the strength
19:23to act.
19:25Now, I will talk about
19:27the intellect of consciousness
19:29that Allah has given to man.
19:31This is the relationship
19:33between angels,
19:35humans and animals.
19:37It is the relationship
19:39that Allah has given to man
19:41the intellect
19:43so that he can use
19:45his intellect
19:47and benefit from this universe.
19:49So, when people
19:51misuse their power,
19:53there was a reason for it.
19:55Alcohol, which was
19:57known as Khamar,
19:59in those days and even now,
20:01when it is used,
20:03the intellect of man
20:05is destroyed.
20:07He becomes lazy.
20:09He becomes lazy.
20:11He loses his sleep.
20:13His intellect
20:15is so affected
20:17that even his family
20:19becomes a source
20:21of conflict.
20:23It has a very bad effect
20:25on the society.
20:27Because his intellect
20:29does not work that much.
20:31Because he is in a state of intoxication.
20:33That is why Islam has strictly
20:35prohibited it.
20:37And has put a limit of 80 crores.
20:39Absolutely right.
20:41Doctor, we are talking about
20:43the negative effects of alcohol
20:45on the society.
20:47The negative effects
20:49of alcohol on the intellect
20:51and consciousness
20:53are also the main reason
20:55why a person
20:57loses his ability
20:59to think,
21:01understand and see.
21:03This is his right.
21:05It is his responsibility
21:07to protect it.
21:09It is also his responsibility
21:11to protect himself
21:13from everything that
21:15damages it.
21:17So, the medical effects
21:19of alcohol
21:21are also the main reason
21:23why a person
21:25loses his ability
21:27to think, understand
21:29and see.
21:31Alcohol makes a difference
21:33between good and bad.
21:35So, the path to know
21:37good and bad
21:39has been blocked
21:41by alcohol.
21:43Alcohol also has a
21:45very bad effect
21:47on the digestive system.
21:49The more you drink,
21:51the more your digestive system
21:53gets damaged.
21:55When the digestive system
21:57gets damaged,
21:59the stomach
22:01gets damaged
22:03along with the liver
22:05and kidneys.
22:07The whole body
22:09gets affected.
22:11In the same way,
22:13the bad deeds
22:15that you do
22:17have a negative effect on you.
22:19In the same way,
22:21the bad deeds
22:23that you do
22:25have a negative effect on you.
22:27This is not a good person
22:29and he does not have
22:31a balanced personality.
22:33If he had a balanced personality,
22:35his character would have been
22:37different.
22:39He has lost the light
22:41of a Muslim
22:43and a believer.
22:45In the same way,
22:47there are many diseases
22:49that are born
22:51in the human body
22:53through alcohol.
22:55Dr. Shabir,
22:57we have discussed
22:59the medical side
23:01of alcohol.
23:03We have also discussed
23:05the side effects
23:07of alcohol.
23:09There are many
23:11aspects of alcohol
23:13that are not
23:15mentioned in the Holy Quran.
23:17There are many aspects
23:19that are not mentioned
23:21in the Holy Quran.
23:23Dr. Shabir,
23:25thank you very much.
23:27This is also
23:29a beautiful question.
23:31As far as the wisdom
23:33is concerned,
23:35first of all,
23:37we should remember
23:39that Allah
23:41has declared
23:43anything as
23:45halal and
23:47anything as
23:49haram.
23:51As Dr. Shabir
23:53said earlier,
23:59when we talk about
24:01wisdom,
24:03the power of decision
24:05making in a person
24:07is also lost
24:09due to alcohol.
24:11All these things
24:13are interconnected
24:15with our social life.
24:17When we see
24:19how a drunk
24:21person reacts
24:23in our society,
24:25there are some facts
24:27that I would like
24:29to share with you.
24:31According to the WHO report,
24:3345% of the people
24:35die due to
24:37alcohol.
24:39Economically,
24:41there are
24:43315 billion rupees
24:45in France.
24:47They are all
24:49drug-addicted people.
24:51Their cases
24:53are either of accidents,
24:55beatings,
24:57or domestic violence.
24:59So,
25:01according to society,
25:03a person who drinks
25:05does not have a personal life,
25:07nor does he have a social life,
25:09nor does he have
25:11a family life,
25:13nor does he have
25:15a job,
25:17nor does he have
25:19a family life.
25:21He is always
25:23alone.
25:25After that,
25:27he starts
25:29a business
25:31and a rehabilitation
25:33center in society.
25:35So, the wisdom
25:37is that Allah
25:39wants to save
25:41a person from
25:43alcoholism.
26:13I remember a hadith in which
26:15Hazrat Maaz bin Jabbar
26:17narrated that
26:19the Holy Prophet
26:21said,
26:23do not
26:25drink alcohol
26:27unless
26:29you are
26:31a Muslim.
26:33The Holy Prophet
26:35said,
26:37do not drink alcohol
26:39unless
26:41you are a Muslim.
26:43This is the
26:45reality of alcoholism.
26:47This is called
26:49Umm-ul-Khubais.
26:51So, in society,
26:53when a person
26:55drinks alcohol,
26:57he can do anything.
26:59For him,
27:01the other
27:03bad things
27:05are very small.
27:07Because
27:09his family
27:11and his
27:13relatives
27:15are destroyed.
27:17Only
27:19Umm-ul-Khubais
27:21is adopted.
27:23This is a very
27:25serious problem
27:27for Umm-ul-Khubais.
27:29Because,
27:31when they drink alcohol,
27:33they do not see
27:35their sister, mother or daughter.
27:37They lose their
27:39senses.
27:41That is why,
27:43all the families
27:45are affected.
27:47Any family member
27:49who is addicted
27:51to alcohol,
27:53all the families
27:55are affected.
27:57Doctor,
27:59as a whole,
28:01how do you
28:03conclude
28:05today's discussion?
28:07Doctor,
28:09I remember a narration
28:11from Umm-ul-Khubais.
28:13It is narrated by
28:15Hazrat Usman-e-Ghani.
28:17He told his companions
28:19to beware of
28:21Umm-ul-Khubais.
28:23He also narrated an incident.
28:25He said that
28:27there was a man
28:29far away from the settlement
28:31who was very religious.
28:33A woman
28:35saw him.
28:37She decided to
28:39trap him.
28:41She sent her servant
28:43to call that man
28:45and tell him
28:47that she has to give him
28:49a testimony.
28:51Since it was a good deed,
28:53he went to the king's house.
28:55The king's house was very big.
28:57The door from which
28:59the house was closed,
29:01the king told her
29:03that he did not want
29:05to take any testimony from her.
29:07He swore that he did not call her
29:09for the testimony.
29:11She told him that
29:13he had three options.
29:15He could adopt one of them.
29:17The first option was
29:19that he should
29:21kill the innocent child.
29:23The second option was
29:25that he should drink
29:27a glass of wine.
29:29He was helpless.
29:31He said that
29:33adultery is a grave sin
29:35and killing a child
29:37is also a grave sin.
29:39He decided to adopt
29:41a light sin.
29:43He drank a glass of wine.
29:45After drinking the wine,
29:47he started to drink the wine.
29:49He killed the child
29:51and spent the night
29:53with the king.
29:55Because of the wine,
29:57he committed the other
29:59two grave sins.
30:01Who were they?
30:03He was a worshiper.
30:05When a worshiper
30:07spends his life
30:09with alcohol,
30:11what can a common man do?
30:13What does the doctor say
30:15in light of today's discussion?
30:17As Dr. Kalani
30:19said earlier,
30:21you have given
30:23such a good input.
30:25My request is that
30:27in our society,
30:29we generally think that
30:31only the person who drinks
30:33alcohol is
30:35considered a sinner
30:37or a grave sin.
30:39I have heard
30:41that in the Hadith of Nisai,
30:43the Holy Prophet
30:45has cursed
30:47ten people
30:49who are connected
30:51to alcohol.
30:53The one who sells it,
30:55the one who gifts it,
30:57the one who takes it for someone,
30:59the one who buys it,
31:01the one who sells it.
31:03All these people
31:05are involved in it.
31:07In light of our religion,
31:09as we discussed
31:11in our discussion,
31:13all religions,
31:15whether they are
31:17divine or non-divine,
31:19are not considered
31:21a sin.
31:23Alcohol is not
31:25considered a sin.
31:27In fact, it has
31:29set a limit for it.
31:31Now, our states
31:33also need to
31:35follow some
31:37state laws
31:39when it comes to
31:41punishment.
31:43In the end,
31:45I would like to
31:47give my input
31:49on how to
31:51get rid of alcohol.
31:53Islam is a religion
31:55that has set a limit
31:57for it 1400 years ago.
31:59If you set a limit
32:01for it in the world,
32:03you can get rid of
32:05many problems in the society.
32:07I would like to
32:09give my final message
32:11in light of the society.
32:13The Sufis
32:15say that when a person
32:17drinks alcohol,
32:19he gets rid of
32:21all his internal
32:23spiritual problems.
32:25When a person
32:27drinks alcohol,
32:29he gets rid of
32:31anger, arrogance,
32:33jealousy,
32:35jealousy,
32:37jealousy,
32:39jealousy,
32:41jealousy,
32:43jealousy,
32:45jealousy,
32:47jealousy,
32:49jealousy,
32:51jealousy,
32:55jealousy.
32:57Thank you
32:59Dr. Faizullah
33:01Bagdadi
33:03and Dr. Muhammad
33:05Azhar for coming,
33:07and thank you
