00:00Well, Rory, what does that mean, first of all, to win such a prestigious award at this type of event?
00:05Oh, it just means a lot, just winning it and everything.
00:10Did you expect it before tonight? Even before you were nominated, did you expect that you'd get something recognised for this?
00:15No, I didn't even think anything of it. My mum put me down originally and said something about it.
00:21I was like, oh, this might be interesting. I didn't know anything about it, didn't know what it was or anything.
00:27And then, obviously, when it came up on the thing and it said about me and my injury, I was like, oh, that's cool.
00:35Well, your story is quite a unique one and it's almost difficult to understand if you've not been in a situation like it.
00:42And James on the stage got you to talk a bit about it. Is it emotional almost to look back at it?
00:46Is it hard to look back at such a challenging time for you?
00:49Not really. I mean, it just kind of shows just how far I've come from the injury and all that
00:54and just how much I've really progressed throughout the years after the injury.
00:58And we saw Don Winrow on the screen and he was obviously my PE teacher as well.
01:02And I look at that and I think you wouldn't really want a better person.
01:05I think you praised him as well, saying he looked after you well.
01:08People like that, are they massive for you getting this award? Is it not just you about you?
01:12No, it just shows just everyone who was involved in my recovery and my health and just my journey on the way.
01:18Just all the support I was getting received throughout the way.
01:23Well, it's a remarkable story and I think everyone on the Isle of Man wishes you a massive congratulations.
01:27But just finally, what does the future hold look like for you, Rory?
01:30I'm not too sure.
01:32Is that an early question, is it?
01:34Yeah.
01:35But if anything does happen that you're excited about or want to talk to us about, you know where we are.
