00:00Good afternoon from Pag-Asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:03This is our update on the weather forecast for the next 24 hours.
00:10We can see here in our latest satellite images,
00:13the thick clouds that are currently affecting the northern and central zone
00:20is the continuous effect of the shoreline in the hot and cold wind.
00:26Because of the shoreline, we can expect a lot of rain and snowfall
00:31here in the mainland Cagayan Valley,
00:33a large area of Cordillera,
00:35as well as in the provinces of Aurora, Quezon, and Camrines Norte.
00:40So for the mentioned areas,
00:41let's be prepared for possible floods and landslides,
00:45especially with the continuous rain that we will experience.
00:49Here in the Palawan area,
00:50because of the easterly or the hot wind from the Pacific Ocean,
00:54we will also experience floods and rains.
00:59For Metro Manila and the rest of the country,
01:02this will continue to be a clear season.
01:05We still have a chance of sudden and quick rains
01:09that will cause thunderstorms tomorrow.
01:11But in the morning and afternoon,
01:12we will experience fair weather conditions in a large part of our country.
01:16Let's hope that the continuous effect of the northeast monsoon
01:19or the cold wind
01:21will cause light rains or thunderstorms in the Ilocos region,
01:26as well as in the area of Batanes and Babuyan Islands.
01:30At the moment, we are still monitoring the low-pressure area
01:33or the bad weather that may cause thunderstorms in the next few days.
01:39And for our forecast for tomorrow here in Luzon,
01:43because of the shoreline,
01:44let's expect that the eastern part of Luzon will continue to experience floods
01:49and heavy rains.
01:52So, this area of Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora,
01:55this part of Quezon,
01:58and a large part of Cabay,
02:00will experience floods tomorrow along the shoreline.
02:03The floods will decrease,
02:05brought by the shoreline here in the central portion of Luzon,
02:08particularly here in the Cordillera Administrative Region.
02:12And of course, here in Metro Manila and most of Central Luzon,
02:17as well as Southern Luzon,
02:19this will continue to be hot and foggy tomorrow,
02:22but this does not mean that we will not experience floods.
02:26The chances of localized thunderstorms are also possible,
02:30especially in the late afternoon to evening.
02:33The floods here in the rest of Northern Luzon,
02:35in the Ilocos Region, and Cordillera,
02:38will be caused by the light rains or thunderstorms
02:41caused by the northeast monsoon or the cold wind.
02:45In the region of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
02:49tomorrow, the floods brought by the easterlies
02:52in the area of Palawan will also decrease.
02:54So, for most of Palawan, as well as Visayas and Mindanao,
02:57this part of the region will continue to be cloudy
02:59until it becomes cloudy again.
03:01This will be accompanied by light rains
03:04brought by localized thunderstorms.
03:08In the condition of our ocean,
03:10there is no more gale warning,
03:12but there is still a different level of caution
03:14to our fellow fishermen here in the seaboards
03:17of Northern and Central Luzon,
03:19because we will still be able to experience
03:21the calmness of the ocean.
03:25As for our three-day weather outlook
03:27in the surrounding areas of our country,
03:30we are hoping for a gradual decline
03:33or the weakening of the effect of the shoreline
03:35in our country.
03:36So, the rains will decrease in the northern part of Luzon.
03:40But here in the Bicol region, including Legazpi City,
03:43the widespread thunderstorms will continue
03:45accompanied by the easterlies,
03:47the wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.
03:49So, even though we are hoping
03:51that for these three days, from Monday to Wednesday,
03:53the effect of the shoreline in our country will decrease,
03:56the easterlies will bring rain
03:58in their part of Southern Luzon.
04:03For Metro Manila and the rest of Northern and Central Luzon,
04:07we are hoping for a gradual decline
04:09or the retreat of the Northeast Monsoon,
04:11or the cold wind.
04:13This will result in an increase in the chance
04:16of thunderstorm activity.
04:18So, when the cold wind calms down,
04:20we are hoping for more thunderstorm activity
04:23from the afternoon to the evening.
04:26And the temperature forecast for Metro Manila
04:28for these three days
04:30is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
04:33Maximum temperature for Baguio City,
04:3526 degrees Celsius.
04:37Maximum temperature for Legazpi,
04:3930 degrees Celsius.
04:44Here in Visayas,
04:46for these three days, from Monday to Wednesday,
04:48the effect of easterlies will continue
04:51for most of Visayas.
04:53We are still hoping for the chance
04:55of rain and thunderstorms,
04:58especially here in the eastern section of Visayas.
05:01So, for Tacloban City,
05:02for Tacloban City,
05:03we are mostly cloudy
05:05from late afternoon to evening.
05:07And for these three days,
05:08we are hoping for a gradual decline
05:11for most of our country.
05:13We will experience hot and humid weather.
05:17So, to our fellow citizens,
05:19especially to our senior citizens,
05:21or those with existing medical conditions,
05:24we should avoid outdoor activities.
05:26If we cannot avoid it,
05:27we should look for shelter,
05:29especially in the hours of
05:316am to 3pm,
05:33because this is the time
05:35when we will experience high temperatures.
05:38Also, avoid drinking a lot of water
05:40and wearing light-colored clothes.
05:43And we should also stay in areas
05:45that are well-ventilated
05:47to avoid the risk of heat stroke.
05:50Maximum temperature forecast for Metro Cebu
05:52for these three days,
05:53it is possible to reach 31 degrees Celsius.
05:5632 degrees Celsius in Iloilo
05:59and 32 degrees Celsius in Tacloban City.
06:02Also, in the area of Mindanao,
06:04a large part of Mindanao,
06:05for next week,
06:07the hot and humid weather
06:09brought by the Easter lease will continue.
06:11Even so,
06:12we will still bring a shelter in the rain.
06:15This shelter will be removed
06:17from the heat of the sun
06:19from morning to afternoon.
06:21It will be removed from the rain
06:22when it reaches afternoon to night
06:24when there are thunderstorms.
06:26Maximum temperature forecast
06:27for Metro Davao
06:28for these three days,
06:29it is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.
06:3232 degrees Celsius in Cagayan de Oro City
06:35and 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga City.
06:39And the sun here in Manila
06:41will set later at 6 o'clock in the afternoon
06:45and will rise again tomorrow
06:47at 6 o'clock in the morning.
