00:00Good morning to all of you and live from the Pag-Asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:06This is the current time of the week, March 9, 2025.
00:11And in our latest satellite images, we can still see the effect of the shear line
00:15which will still bring cloudy skies with a high chance of rain particularly in the Bicol region,
00:22as well as in the areas of Aurora, Quezon, Laguna and Rizal
00:27as well as in the areas of Milan, Cagayan, Isabela and Cordillera.
00:31So there is still a potential for sudden landslides,
00:34particularly in the areas of the eastern part of Southern Luzon,
00:38especially in the Quezon province and Bicol region.
00:41Meanwhile, the North-East Monsoon will still continue.
00:44Although we expect that it will continue to weaken in the coming days,
00:48it will still affect the areas of Ilocos Norte, Batanes and Babuyan Islands
00:52where it will still bring isolated and dry and weak rains.
00:55Meanwhile, you can see the cloudy skies in the Mindanao region.
01:01Our countrymen expect that there will be a potential for cloudy skies in the Mindanao region

01:14In other parts of our country, in Metro Manila,
01:17where there are heavy rains in Mindanao and Luzon,
01:20we still expect that there will be isolated and dry rains,
01:24landslides and landslides,
01:26followed by easter days and localized thunderstorms.
01:29As of now, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas.
01:32There is a small chance that there will be a typhoon for this week.
01:35Generally, the month of March is one of the months
01:38where there are very few typhoons entering the Philippine area of responsibility.
01:44And here in Luzon, we expect that there will be a big chance of cloudy skies
01:49with heavy rains particularly in the mainland of Cagayan, Cordillera, Isabela,
01:55Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol region,
01:59as well as the provinces of Laguna and Rizal in the Calabarzon region.

03:28There will be rainy season in other parts of Mindanao,
03:32particularly in the Zamboanga Peninsula.
03:35This is also the case in the Soxargen and Davao region.
03:39This is the tip of the shear line,
03:41which is the wind blowing from the Pacific Ocean.
03:43Most parts of Mindanao will experience isolated or dry rains.
03:49The temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:53In Cagendeoro, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:55In Davao, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:00Meanwhile, we do not have a high gale warning in any part of our country
04:03because we are expecting it to be moderate
04:06especially in the northern and central regions of Luzon
04:10due to the arrival of the flood.
04:12Please be careful, especially for the small sea vehicles.
04:15Meanwhile, in our heat index,
04:17we can see that the areas with high heat index decreased yesterday
04:21because we experienced scattered rains in a large part of our country.
04:25In Metro Manila, the heat index is from 31 to 35 degrees Celsius.

05:02Veracat and Duanes,

05:05which is 41 degrees Celsius.

05:12or the mixture of air.
05:14Because of that,
05:15it can be higher than the usual temperature
05:18because it depends on how hot we feel.
