दिल्ली: देश के रक्षा मंत्री राजनाथ सिंह ने आईएएनएस से खास बातचीत में वन नेशन वन इलेक्शन पर कहा कि ये बहुत महत्वपूर्ण है। ये काम बहुत पहले हो जाना चाहिए था। मैं मानता हूं कि इसमें बहुत देरी हुई है लेकिन इसके लिए हमारे प्रधानमंत्री मोदी जी वाकई बधाई के पात्र हैं। उन्होंने तय किया कि ये बिल आना चाहिए और भारत में एक राष्ट्र, एक चुनाव की प्रक्रिया शुरू होनी चाहिए। सरकार के टैक्स में बहुत बड़ी बचत होगी, लाखों करोड़ रुपए बचेंगे, मैं आपको सही आंकड़ा नहीं बता सकता लेकिन लाखों करोड़ रुपए बचेंगे। दूसरी बात ये है कि चुनाव लड़ने में बहुत समय जाता है, कभी पंचायत के चुनाव होते हैं, कभी शहरी निकायों के चुनाव होते हैं, नगर निगम के, कभी एमएलए के चुनाव होते हैं, कभी एमपी के चुनाव होते हैं, कभी जिला बोर्ड के चुनाव होते हैं, कभी जिला पंचायत के चुनाव होते हैं, तो एक निश्चित समय में ये तय हो जाएगा कि लोकसभा, विधानसभा के चुनाव एक साथ हों और हमारे स्थानीय निकायों के चुनाव एक साथ हों तो बहुत सारा पैसा बचेगा और साथ ही समय भी बचेगा।
