00:49statement.
00:50For the readout of the statements, this concludes our joint press conference.
00:55We thank everyone for joining us.
01:05We are countries that are committed to international law.
01:10We are countries that are committed to the rules-based order.
01:14We are countries that take our obligations under the UN Charter seriously.
01:24And that is why we have stood together in supporting Ukraine and supporting a free and
01:33open Indo-Pacific, understanding that the Euro-Atlantic arena and the Indo-Pacific arena
01:42are indivisible.
01:45This joint framework will help us deliver more cooperation on defense and regional security,
01:52on trade, on science, on tech, on climate, and nature over this coming period.
02:00Today, Secretary Lame and I agreed to sustain cooperation on matters of mutual concern such
02:06as defense and security, human rights, maritime, and economic resilience.
02:11And we are working on a number of proposed agreements, such as an implementing arrangement
02:18under our 2024 MOU on defense cooperation and an MOU on information sharing concerning
02:25improving our maritime domain awareness.
02:30Recognizing the gains of both the Philippines and the United Kingdom, we agreed to continue
02:34participation and exchanges in joint military exercises and maritime patrols, as well as
02:41port calls of British naval vessels.
