00:00Hello, after a very mild week just gone we've got a colder week ahead all to do
00:05with a cold front sinking its way southwards introducing much colder air
00:09behind and this is that cold front across northern parts of Scotland as it
00:14sinks its way southwards through Monday it'll introduce much colder air coming
00:18down from the Arctic and that transferring all the way to the south
00:21as we come to Tuesday. So for many of us we'll see the return of overnight frost
00:27and also some icy stretches. But back to the rest of this evening then so this is
00:32the cold front across northern parts of Scotland bringing some heavy spells of
00:36rain that will gradually sink its way southwards overnight into the start of
00:40Monday morning perhaps turning wintry over the highest ground. Across much of
00:45England and Wales though it's gonna be a cloudier night to come generally staying
00:49largely dry though there may be some mist and fog patches just developing
00:53underneath the clearest skies. Otherwise temperatures still generally holding up
00:58so it should be frost free but turning much colder across Orkney and Shetland
01:02to start Monday morning. It's going to be quite breezy here to start the day as
01:08well with this outbreaks of rain just sinking its way slowly towards the south
01:13also murky across eastern areas with har and sea fret down this eastern coast
01:18but the rain will gradually ease as we go through the day. Cloudier skies
01:23across southern parts of England perhaps even with some outbreaks of
01:27rain but there will be some brighter interludes across the east
01:31but behind this band of cloud and rain it will be turning brighter across
01:35Scotland but turning much colder with frequent showers coming in from the
01:40north. So there's going to be a contrast in temperatures as we go through Monday
01:45holding on to some milder conditions across the south not as mild as recent
01:49days highs of up to 14 or 15 degrees but in Scotland that's where temperatures
01:55will quickly fall away and we'll see highs of only around 8 to 6 degrees. So
02:01as we go through Monday evening we hold on to a lot of cloud across northern
02:04England this will gradually continue to sink its way southwards bringing some
02:08outbreaks of rain across parts of Wales and southern England but behind that
02:12plenty of clear skies developing especially across Northern Ireland and
02:17parts of Scotland with frequent showers coming down that eastern coast. So it's
02:22going to be a cold night to come with a touch of frost but also some icy
02:27stretches to start Tuesday morning generally holding on to more cloud
02:31across the south so helping to keep temperatures up here. So as we start
02:36Tuesday morning then it's a bright but cold start across Northern Ireland parts
02:40of Northern England as well with the cloud gradually continuing to sink its
02:44way southward across southern parts of England behind that though it is going
02:48to be a mixture of some sunny spells but also some frequent showers especially
02:53across northern parts of Scotland again they could still be on the wintry side.
02:57Otherwise for all of us temperatures will be falling much much closer to
03:02average so ranging now around 6 to 9 degrees on Tuesday. That's all from me
03:09for now though but make sure to hit subscribe so you don't miss any updates
03:12and I'll catch you soon. Bye bye.
