Nagreklamo sa Department of Justice ang dalawang lalaking benepisyaro ng NGO na Gawad Kalinga. Inabuso umano sila ng founder nito na si Antonio "Tony" Meloto. Itinanggi 'yan ni Meloto sa kanyang kontra-salaysay.

00:00The two male beneficiaries of the NGO Gawad Kalinga filed a complaint with the Department of Justice.

00:05Their founder, Antonio Tony Meloto, abused them.

00:10Meloto denied the allegations to his wife, Salima Refran.

00:19The expected help was returned to the bank.

00:23According to the two male beneficiaries of the NGO Gawad Kalinga,

00:28or GK for short.

00:30In 2017, while Daniel was living at GK Farms in Bulacan,

00:34he was called to the room of GK founder, Tony Meloto.

00:39There, he was held in the back of his body.

00:42He was unable to do anything about the trauma in the hands of someone he respected and trusted.

00:49The story of Alias Michael is almost the same.

00:52It was also in 2017 when Meloto first abused him.

00:56He was shocked and couldn't think of how he was able to do this to a person he considered to be a father.

01:04He was diagnosed with trauma when he was seven years old.

01:06But because of its psychological effect on him, he decided to file a complaint.

01:12They had hoped for a better future, of course, for a better life.

01:15You can just imagine the kind of trauma and pain that you trusted.

01:22It turned out to be somebody who would use your poverty against you.

01:27In 2024, they filed a complaint of acts of lasciviousness, sexual harassment,

01:32and trafficking in persons against Meloto in the Department of Justice.

01:36They feel they were silent for a long time, for so many years.

01:41And they tried to find help so that they can tell their story.

01:50We will let justice take its course.

01:52When Meloto filed a complaint with the DOJ, he refused to file a complaint against him.

01:58He said there was no basis for this and that the star was malicious and that it was just one harassment.

02:04It was also not true that he was sending these people to his room.

02:07And it was even more untrue that he was abusing these people.

02:10The affidavit of Meloto was attached to the testimonies of witnesses to prove that the star was not true.

02:17Meloto went to the DOJ earlier to submit a rejoinder affidavit.

02:22He added three witnesses for his defense.

02:32Meloto has been silent for several years.

02:40According to the Department of Justice National Prosecution Service,

02:44the complaints filed against the respondent will be weighed by the prosecutor

02:50before deciding if the case will be filed in court.

02:53We will be the judge in evaluating these evidences.

02:57We will just base any decision or resolution that we will issue on the evidence that will be presented to us.
