The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has recorded the statements of 36 people over its investigations into the corruption and money laundering case involving former prime minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

According to sources, MACC recorded statements from 32 witnesses and four suspects.

00:16According to sources, MACC recorded statements from 32 witnesses and four suspects.
00:23On March 2, MACC said it had seized approximately 170 million ringgit cash in foreign currency
00:30and 16 kilograms of gold worth almost 7 million ringgit in its investigation.
00:36The search operation was carried out at a house and three other premises used as safe
00:40houses following the arrest of four senior officers who served under the former Prime
00:45Minister's administration.
00:47MACC Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki said the MACC started its investigation in
00:55early 2024 into the Keluarga Malaysia issue involving 700 million ringgit in advertising
01:02and promotion funds for government agendas.
01:06So far, 13 bank accounts with a total of 2 million ringgit in funds have been frozen.
01:12Most belong to the four suspects arrested but Ismail Sabri's account has not been frozen
01:17yet as it is under investigation.
