The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is conducting two separate investigations—one involving alleged corruption by Sabah state assemblymen and another targeting a whistleblower, says Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki.

01:46So as for now, the person who claimed to be the whistleblower, until today he refused
01:55to hand over whatever evidence that he has, because he's still claiming a kind of protection
02:01or immunity.
02:03That one, I stress here again, we can't give him any protection, as long he divulge, expose
02:09about what he has.
02:11So, I can't comment so much, it is his decision, because he came to office together with his
02:19lawyer, and he has been well consulted and advised by his lawyer.
02:25That much I can say for now, and then the investigation will continue, okay?
02:30One last question, he will only get protection if he comes, if he hands over the...
