The district attorney of Los Angeles County said Monday that he does not support the resentencing of Lyle and Erik Menendez, the brothers who admitted to killing their parents at their Beverly Hills home in 1989.

00:22They want to actually achieve that.
00:25Literally go to the governor Newsom today,
00:28and he could commute their sentences
00:30and release them today.
00:31The jury heard this self-defense defense way back when,
00:35and the jury rejected it.
00:37We're just basically, in many ways,
00:40following the jury's verdict from way back then,
00:44while the Menendez's have, for over 30 years,
00:47not only rejected the jury's verdict
00:49but persisted in the lie of self-defense
00:52and the related lies I've talked about.
