00:23The statement was made by PCO Undersecretary at Palace Press Officer Atty. Claire Castro

00:28in front of the increase in the number of tourists recorded in January 2025.

00:34Atty. Castro said that if the peace and order situation in the country is not good,

00:39the number of tourists should not decrease.

00:42This means that the number of tourists going to the Philippines is not scary

00:46because the number of foreign tourists in the first half of 2025 will increase.

00:54In fact, Atty. Castro said that the date of the COVID-19 pandemic will be January 2025

01:02if the number of foreign tourists in the Philippines increases.

01:07But because the number of tourists coming to us is increasing,

01:11the pre-COVID time has already increased.

01:19So it means that the number of tourists coming to our country is not scary.

01:24The government's income from tourism reached P65.3 billion this January.

01:311,167,108 tourists were brought to the country in the first month of the year,

01:37which is also based on the DOT record.

01:40According to Atty. Castro, they hope that the government's income from tourism

01:46will be recorded in the past month of February and the following months.

01:51It is a big thing here that the Bureau of Immigration implements a better process.
