00:00The home of senior high school students from San Juan de Letran College, Manila is the Letran Cyber Squires,
00:08the most outstanding service innovation award in the ImagineGov PH Workshop
00:13organized by the Development Academy of the Philippines.
00:16This award is due to their development of an IoT-powered medication management system
00:23that they call DOSRX Medivacs.
00:26And here with us today are the students who made this healthcare system.
00:31They are Aliza Gale Aquino, Veronica Flores, John Marcel Estellore, and Paolo Benedict Mendoza.
00:39Good morning to all of you. Welcome to Rise and Shine Philippines.
00:43Good morning.
00:44Where did these kids go?
00:46I don't know. It's like when I was in college, I wasn't like that.
00:49For me, I was the one who made a bomb out of nothing.
00:53We have something like that in our science subject, our investigatory project.
00:56Is that in science?
00:58I think it's in math.
00:59What is it? Actually, it's our initiation for senior high school students.
01:03We're grade 12 students.
01:05They have their own initiative.
01:07I thought it's an initiation or something like that.
01:09So it's an initiative that these kids have.
01:12Can you explain how this works?
01:17Or what is this DOSRX Medivacs?
01:19To explain, we have this DOSRX Medivacs.
01:22It's like an autonomous medication box which helps us to store, manage, and medication intake.
01:32It allows us to take it on time and precisely.
01:36To demonstrate, we have found a tool.
01:39Okay.
01:41This is the Medivacs.
01:43You need to turn it on.
01:45Okay.
01:47You need to connect the device to the internet so you can control the device.
01:51How would you control that? Through an application?
01:53Yes.
01:55What is the name of the application?
01:57Do you already have one?
01:59Is there a name of the application on your phone?
02:01I already have one.
02:03My DOSRX.
02:05Wow.
02:07I'll scan the QR code.
02:09Okay.
02:11That's amazing.
02:13You can connect it to the...
02:15Firebase.
02:17To the internet.
02:19The prototype can connect to the same WiFi of your phone.
02:25So you can have a connection between the application itself and the prototype itself.
02:31They aim for it to interact with each other.
02:33So that your application at the same time the prototype has this interaction within each other.
02:39That's amazing.
02:41You participated in the two-day workshop.
02:45Before you presented or finalized your project.
02:49Why did you conceptualize about this?
02:53Why did you choose this?
02:55The DOSRX Medivacs.
02:57We actually have an inspiration for that.
03:01Our focus is for elderly people.
03:03I have a grandfather who is currently alone.
03:07We don't have that much time to take care of his medication.
03:11So we thought that this problem needs a solution.
03:17So we come up to this DOSRX Medivacs as a help to remind them.
03:21While we are always studying or at work.
03:25Not only for elderly but as well for us.
03:27We forget to take medication, supplements as well as vitamins.
03:31So that's how we come up to this solution.
03:35But if there is a solution, it will remind us and make us believe.
03:41Yes.
03:43That's funny.
03:45So what do you put inside?
03:47It has a battery operated pusher.
03:49So it's just charged.
03:51It can be a power bank.
03:53Yes.
03:55Portable.
03:57This is the inside.
03:59It has a pusher for pills.
04:03If you want to clean it, this is the part.
04:07That's amazing.
04:09At least it's removable.
04:11It also has a sensor underneath.
04:13To check if it's empty.
04:17So if time comes, it can be bigger.
04:19Yes.
04:21It can also be bigger.
04:23It can also be placed.
04:25If it's 12 o'clock, will it make noise?
04:27Yes, exactly.
04:29How does it make noise?
04:31It can be controlled.
04:33It also has a sound customization.
04:35Yes.
04:37In fairness, it will make you take medicine.
04:39It can be recorded.
04:41That's amazing.
04:43That's how it works.
04:45I miss kids like this.
04:47I don't see them online.
04:49Aunty Ear, Nadine Lustre.
04:51The child, Catherine Bernardo.
04:53The face, Bini Mika.
04:55They're different.
04:57They have different attacks.
04:59Hi.
05:01Did you expect to win?
05:03Honestly, going into the competition,
05:05what we had in mind
05:07is we just want to show up.
05:09First and foremost,
05:11Let Rang, for us, felt like
05:13it needs someone
05:15who really pushes innovation through.
05:17Especially our globalization
05:19is super duper upscale.
05:21We want that fast pace.
05:23We know that
05:25it won't happen
05:27if you start on your own.
05:29That's great.
05:31Contribution to the people.
05:33That's a big thing.
05:35Especially to our fellow countrymen.
05:37After you get your project,
05:39what are your plans
05:41for the DozorX Medivacs?
05:43Our plans is to further
05:45more develop.
05:47We're making some model like compact size
05:49or travel friendly that we could
05:51put in our pockets
05:53and travel on the go.
05:55We could take medication anywhere.
05:57What phase are you in now?
05:59We're still at the phase of
06:01prototype.
06:03Developing, beta testing, all sorts.
06:05We want to integrate
06:07that we can use
06:09food-based materials.
06:11We make sure that the dosage
06:13or medicines, the prescribed
06:15intake is safe.
06:17That's great.
06:19In any cases, any investments
06:21will be given to you
06:23for that?
06:25Have you thought of that?
06:27We would love to.
06:29If there's any given opportunities,
06:31we're free to negotiate and open
06:33for everyone.
06:35You're the lesbian.
06:37I have free meds.
06:41I can do that.
06:43Looking forward.
06:45So we can use it anyway.
06:47It's good for grandparents.
06:49Of course, they're not always
06:51the same.
06:53Even for me,
06:55even for the yuppies
06:57who have this medicine
06:59and forget to take it.
07:01That's very helpful.
07:05You're still in senior high school.
07:07How's it going?
07:09In terms of your dream,
07:11what's your track?
07:13STEM.
07:15STEM.
07:21Your initial plan was to
07:23become an engineer
07:25or any science-related courses.
07:27But now, you've developed a prototype
07:29like that. What are your plans?
07:33As for me, I would like to be
07:35an architect in the future.
07:37We want to
07:39further develop this
07:41to help the mass
07:43of computer good.
07:45I'm continuing
07:47computer science if I could.
07:51I'm planning to take on
07:53mechanical engineering or
07:55electronics engineering.
07:57As well as improving
07:59this device.
08:03And you?
08:05Ever since before doing this,
08:07I want to be a computer science
08:09or electronics engineer.
08:11So, you're still into
08:13machine engineering?
08:15Yes, but it's still hard for them.
08:17Why are you making it hard for yourself?
08:19You're still young. You should enjoy your life.
08:21But no, it's beautiful.
08:23It's a big help for our countrymen.
08:25For everyone.
08:27And I hope that in time,
08:29it will be cheap.
08:31Accessible.
08:33And our pockets will be able to afford it.
08:35Especially for them, they will need it someday.
08:37Probably.
08:39I agree.
08:41On my phone, I put
08:43alarm take meds, vitamins.
08:45At least, it's already there.
08:47It's the one that will alarm.
08:49And you also have an application
08:51specifically for that.
08:53What did your school say about this?
08:55They're grateful for
08:57the contribution.
08:59And they're happy that
09:01we can help not only for us,
09:03but for society as well.
09:05As what she said,
09:07our school
09:09is very helpful.
09:11Specifically, LATRAN Manila.
09:13Since their senior high school
09:15is very much
09:17inclined to innovations.
09:19And there,
09:21we're more hopeful
09:23in our pursuits and endeavors.
09:25There.
09:27Maybe it's a message for the youth.
09:29Of course,
09:31they should also list their life
09:33as a field.
09:35Yes.
09:43For everyone watching,
09:45regardless of your age,
09:47we want you to
09:49step out of your comfort zone
09:51to get into that mindset
09:53that you believe in yourself
09:55and the things that you can do.
09:57And we believe that
09:59it's far more useful
10:01to think far greater than good.
10:03And for...
10:05LATRAN enrollment is open.
10:07You can visit the website
10:09www.latran.edu.ph
10:11Oh, it's promoting already.
10:13I like that.
10:15We have that.
10:17LATRAN is a great place
10:19where you can shine yourself.
10:21It's where yourself begins.
10:23I have a lot of friends there,
10:25especially in college.
10:27And we also have friends
10:29in Intramuros.
10:31Yes, Intramuros.
10:33Looking forward
10:35to the development
10:37of your Dozar X Medivacs.
10:39I just want to clarify
10:41what I said earlier.
10:43This is meant to make them happy.
10:45Yes, for fun.
10:47Thank you so much.
10:49Congratulations.
10:51We have with us this morning
10:53if not already,
10:55Veronica Flores,
10:57CEO of Mendoza.
