00:00Is that the type of game that you've not won enough of this season?
00:03Yes. Well, we've done enough. I don't think we played that well tonight, let's be honest,
00:07but we've done enough. We've got through it, showed a bit of resilience, made far too many
00:12mistakes as far as I'm concerned, but the one thing you can't lever at them, they never give up,
00:18and that's shown again today.
00:20If you are going to enjoy a strong end to the season,
00:22are those gritty wins going to be more important than the flashy wins?
00:25This time of year, when the nitty-gritty comes around, it's just how you get over the line,
00:32how you win, finding a way to win. We haven't done that at home often enough.
00:36We have away from home, but at home, we've found it a bit of a struggle. So,
00:41finding a way to win. Last time we were here, it was a 0-0, wasn't it? Before, we won with 10 men,
00:46played with 10 men and won, so maybe we're starting to grind out a few results at home,
00:52which has gone our way.
00:54Yeah, it's back-to-back wins. Last time you did that was at the end of January,
00:56so is it about building on that and going one better, going a few better?
00:59What we need to do is, if we're going to do anything, we just need to stay with it and see
01:03what we can do.
01:04Obviously, CJ's back in training, as is Tom Bloxham. With the way Sonny's playing,
01:08what's it going to be like for CJ to win that placemark?
01:11Well, that's what you want as a manager, a head coach, wherever you want to call me.
01:15Look, there's nothing like competition, and at the moment, Sonny has been terrific, hasn't he?
01:22He was terrific Saturday and terrific again tonight, so he will be playing Saturday,
01:27that's for sure.
01:29To leave that shot where he did, is that his confidence from what he did on Saturday
01:32to do that again?
01:32Absolutely, he does it again. When he gets there, and that was the frustration on Saturday
01:38in Barnsley in the first half, the chances fell to him, he had the same goal.
01:43He's converted the hardest chances to win the match for us.
01:47Hopefully, there's no injuries before that day. Are you thinking for the first time in a while,
01:50wow, I've got so many headaches now, this is fantastic?
01:54Look, you're only as good as your squad of players, and as I said, we make big changes
01:59to the team in January, that's always going to be a bit of a risk.
02:04We've tripped the squad down, we've now got, we're playing with probably,
02:08first time, everybody fit. I don't think there's any knocks today, so
02:12they, CJ and Bloxham, can only be addition to you to have in your armoury, so good to see them back.
02:19I'm not sure what the goal went down, I put it down as Dom Ballard, but
02:21if it was him, would it have to be him on his return?
02:25Prepare, possibly. Yeah, I wish him the best of luck, he's a good kid,
02:29but it's the most bizarre goal I think I've ever seen, and the most hideous.
02:34But, non-Dom, he'll try to claim it, that's for sure.
02:38Yeah, he's only scored in games between Blackpool and Cambridge this season, so it's quite...
02:42Some record, isn't it? Oh yeah, he scored against Cambridge, didn't he, tell me.
02:46That was before me.
02:47Have you had a chance to have a chat with him, just pull him to one side of the area?
02:50Just say hello and how are you, are you okay? I think his problem is, he goes to somewhere
02:54and the manager gets the sack, so maybe that's got something to do with home, maybe. But,
02:59he's a good kid, and I wish him the best of luck, and I hope he has a decent career.
03:04You mentioned last week Andy Lyons was going to have a friendly today, did that go ahead as planned?
03:07Yeah, he played half a game against, we had to play Fylde in the end, so he's okay.
03:14Are you planning for him to come into your contention any time soon, based on that,
03:17or is it another friendly?
03:18We need another, the more he trains and the more he gets used to it, then we'll see. We
03:23don't have to rush at the moment of what we've got, it's just important that he stays well.
03:29And you mentioned late in our interview, there's a team that are above you in that gap,
03:33fighting for the play-off, so how important are these? I mean,
03:35it's going to be like cup finals in the next few months.
03:37It's a big game, that's for sure. So, against a decent side, so let's get ready for it and
03:43hopefully we can play well. We need the supporters to come out and give
03:49support where only they can. So, yeah, big game Saturday.
