00:00After customers queued for hours at its Glasgow and Aberdeen openings, I headed along to Popeyes Edinburgh for a taste test ahead of its opening on Friday.
00:26Popeyes kindly gave me trays of food from their menu,
00:29including the chicken sandwich range, the signature Louisiana chicken and their saucing range.
00:36First up, the saucing range.
00:40Garlic chicken first.
00:42Mmm.
00:53Wow.
00:57Tangy.
01:00Oh, yeah, yeah.
01:06All the sauce in this is boneless chicken, so it's really easy to eat on the go.
01:12Very tasty.
01:13Next up is the classic deluxe chicken burger, which is massive.
01:28Crispy.
01:33Very nice.
01:34Next up, we'll try a couple of the shakes here at Popeyes.
01:39First up, Biscoff.
01:50Oh, wow.
01:55That is absolutely delicious.
01:58And also, we have the Oreo flavour shake.
02:08Oh, absolutely beautiful.
02:19I soon got to know what all the fuss was about as I made my way through the menu at Popeyes,
02:25trying lots of dishes, trying my best anyway, including, believe it or not, mash and gravy,
02:31as well as original Popeyes biscuits, which were reminiscent of scones here in Scotland.
02:39Well, obviously I wasn't able to eat all the food, but I definitely tried all the different things
02:45on the menu here at Popeyes, and I would highly recommend coming along.
02:49Amazing chicken, amazing sauces, like they say, the taste of Louisiana,
02:54right here on Princess Street in the middle of Edinburgh.
02:57Highly recommended, Popeyes.
