00:00Police in Bicol and Western Visayas Regions have been watching after the heightened alert status was raised.
00:06The PNP explained that the public should not be alarmed because their priority is the safety of the public.

00:1710,000 police are deployed in 6 provinces in Bicol Region after the heightened alert status was raised by the Philippine National Police.
00:30That is part of the proactive security measures of Police Regional Office 5 to ensure the safety of Bicolans after the arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte.
00:41The whole Bicol Region is now under heightened alert and we have already implemented the Bicol Shield.
00:48Once the Bicol Shield is implemented, we will establish our border control so that those who cannot enter our AOR area of responsibility will be able to enter.
01:00Because of the Bicol Shield, motorcycle and bicycle patrols have been stopped on the roads in the region.
01:07Police are also prohibited from leaving their jobs in Bicol until the May elections are over.
01:15Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 6 is monitoring the possible arrests of former President Duterte's supporters.
01:23PRO6 Police Brigadier General Jack Wanqui asked the PNP to do this in a peaceful manner.
01:30According to the PNP, the public should not be alarmed even if they are under heightened alert because this is just a part of the security measures in the communities.
