00:00Hello, everybody. Welcome to the United Stands.
00:03I'm Mark Goldbridge, and Manchester United are through to the next round of the Europa League.
00:08This is what matters. This is what it's all about.
00:11And I just want to say from the very start, Ruben Amirim deserves a lot of shout-outs.
00:15Yes, Bruno. Yes, Dorgoo. Yes, Xerxe. Yes, Heben.
00:19Actually, Casemiro, Rasmus, Deleu, Deleu, lots of good performances tonight.
00:24But Amirim deserves a massive shout-out,
00:27and it will go unnoticed by people who don't think on a deeper level.
00:31You know it on the watch along. I know it.
00:33First half, United, that was a 50-50 game.
00:36We were misplacing passes. We were shooting. We were hitting long balls.
00:40Somebody needed to simplify that game.
00:42Second half, completely different side.
00:45Less long balls. Nobody was shooting from stupid areas.
00:48It was a completely different approach.
00:51They simplified the game, and we were much better, chance after chance after chance.
00:56The penalty came from a brilliant bit of play between Bruno Xerxe and Rasmus,
01:00and that's what led to the penalty.
01:01The red card came from a brilliant ball from Zach Xerxe and a brilliant run from Dorgoo.
01:07And you've got to take your hat off because for months and months,
01:11we've heard about system. He's got to change the system.
01:14He needs to change the system.
01:15You know, all these Pratt ex-players and pundits got to change the system.
01:19Why the system won't work. Why the system will never work at Man Utd.
01:23Why he needs to change the system to what?
01:26They never told us what system it was going to be.
01:28There's nothing wrong with the system. The players probably just aren't good enough.
01:32But they are getting better with it.
01:33And I mean, what we saw in the first half is the problem.
01:37There's no way Ruben Arrim's sending them out to hit long balls and shoot from distance.
01:42And at half time, he has to say to them, stop hitting long balls and shooting from distance.
01:47And they do it, and we play better, and that's what he's up against.
01:50It wasn't a 90-minute performance.
01:52It was a 45-minute performance. And against a better team,
01:55you might be going in at half time, two or three, one down.
01:57So still lots of work to do. And I think people need to realize that.
02:01And the players take the credit. Of course they do.
02:04But Arrim definitely said something at half time, and it made a big difference.
02:08And fair play to the players who responded to it.
02:10It's almost like they go into a game, and they're like the rabbit in the headlights.
02:14They just, they don't simplify the game.
02:16And they did second half, and it was so much better.
02:20Bruno was fantastic. Casimiro was fantastic.
02:22Xerxe continued it. It was a really good second half.
02:25And there's no way, look, Sossiedad deserve to get knocked out for the Poznan in Sossiedad.
02:32You know, chat shit, get banged. But they can't moan about anything.
02:36Their penalty was soft. Our penalty was soft.
02:39The Dorgu won was the biggest penalty of the lot. The red card was 100% correct.
02:44If that had happened at the other end, I couldn't have complained.
02:47And we've won the game. And look, Sossiedad, exactly as I said in both previews,
02:51they don't score many goals. Both their goals were penalties.
02:54And realistically, I'm just happy, happy that the season isn't over.
03:01I can't tell you this week, you've probably felt the same as me. All week,
03:04I've been like, I think we should win the game.
03:07But looking at the games we've lost this season, we could easily lose this game.
03:11If we lose this game, the season is over in the middle of March.
03:14How depressing would that be to be sat here now going, that's it.
03:18The season's over. And it's not like you can look forward to the transfer window
03:22because we've got no idea what money we've got. So it would have been horrific.
03:26So celebrate that tonight. At least we've got another month where this season's alive
03:30because international break, two legs in April.
03:33We're going to at least get to near the end of April, still with the season alive.
03:36I think that's something to celebrate. Don't forget to do your player ratings.
03:39Mark every player out of ten, six being the average.
03:42The link is in the video description if you need to sign up.
03:46It's worked really well since we've brought that system in
03:49and I'm very excited to do the player ratings tonight because actually,
03:53for the first time, I don't know, probably the first time under Amarin,
03:58correct me if I'm wrong, maybe the City game to be fair, maybe Arsenal or Liverpool.
04:03I think we've got a rare occasion where nobody played badly.
04:06Nobody should be getting less than a six. And which, to be fair, you know what?
04:11You can't argue with the players' dedication today.
04:14I just think in the first half they just weren't concentrating,
04:18but in the second half they did and I think it was brilliant.
04:20And I do want to say as well, look, people are talking about winning the Europa League
04:24and that's fantastic that people are doing that because I said in January we'd win the Europa League.
04:29So if we do, I'm the GOAT. But jokes aside, let's get real.
04:35Let's get real. I like the excitement.
04:37Let's not quell the excitement, but let's get real.
04:42Lyon will be better than Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao,
04:46who would be waiting in the semi-final, I think, are better than Lyon.
04:50Like Sociedad are mid-table La Liga and can't score goals.
04:55Athletic Bilbao are top four La Liga and do score goals.
04:59So just because we beat Sociedad, we aren't winning this tournament playing like that.
05:05We're going to have to get better. And let's not forget,
05:09we went 2-1 up in this game because of a penalty
05:13and then we scored two goals because they were down to 10 men.
05:15So we've still got a lot of work to do. So I like the excitement.
05:18I like the buzz. I'm with you. I'm with you.
05:22I'm excited. The season's still alive and that makes me feel giddy,
05:25not just the painkillers, but there's a lot of work to be done.
05:30And we've really got to try and look after this team because you know what?
05:34I look at Xerxe, Gnaccio, Rasmus in the second half
05:36and I'm looking at them and I'm going,
05:38there is such thing as pulling your hamstring or pulling a muscle.
05:41They are playing a lot of games and there are no subs.
05:44We've got no subs for the front three. Whatever you think about them,
05:47we haven't got any subs. So if Mason Mount can get back,
05:51that's one player that can play in that position. If Mainu can come back,
05:55that's two players that can play in that position.
05:57So we need to get some players back because there are still a lot of games to play.
06:01You know, you've got Leicester on Sunday.
06:03You've got an international break. Premier League games are still going to be there.
06:07We've got to protect these players because you know what?
06:10However Amrim did it, however the players did it this week,
06:14they actually kept their fitness levels really high for 90 minutes.
06:19But that's going to be really hard to do when you're playing Sunday, Thursday, Sunday,
06:23Thursday. So we're going to have to look at that. Now,
06:25the reason I mentioned that is because Jose Mourinho did this when he won the Europa League.
06:29It got to a point in April where he started picking reserves in the Premier League.
06:35And yeah, it can be embarrassing because you might get beat by Everton
06:38or whoever else we've got to play, Man City,
06:40but we've got to start doing that. If we want to win this Europa League,
06:44we've got to start thinking like Mourinho did. You've got to start going,
06:47oh, you know what? You know what you can do?
06:48You know what you can do with your Manchester derby pride?
06:51You can shove it up your arse because this is 80 million quid
06:54and a trophy and it can change our future.
06:57People talk about winning the Premier League in 2028. People talk about the new stadium.
07:01This moment now, forget five years time.
07:05I'm thinking about the next five weeks. If we can, we're in with a fight.
07:09We're going to have to fight for it, but we're in with a chance.
07:12It's not the Champions League. It's not Mission Impossible.
07:15It's going to be difficult, but we've got a chance. We have a chance.
07:19I'm not saying we're going to win the Europa League, even though I did in January.
07:22I don't think from tonight you can say we're going to win it,
07:24but we've got a chance and it's going to be a scrap.
07:27And along the way, red cards or penalties might go for us again.
07:30They might go against us. Semi-final, quarter-final, second legs at Old Trafford.
07:35So we've got a chance and then you're in a final.
07:37But I wouldn't say we're favourites. And if we're going to have a chance,
07:41we've got to look after the squad. We can't afford any more injuries.
07:44And to be honest with you, in the Premier League,
07:47I haven't got a problem with playing a few of the kids.
07:50If it means people like Rasmus, Xerxe, Gnacho are fresh for the Thursday night game,
07:56I haven't got a problem with it. And we've got to start thinking about that
07:58because this season would have been over tonight.
08:01So imagine if it was over, you wouldn't have given a shit about the Premier League.
08:04So I still don't give a shit about the Premier League.
08:06It's the Europa League. That's all that matters.
08:09Simply Red says, what a game, Xerxe, Dorgu and Casemiro.
08:13I mean, it's nice of you to throw Casemiro in there,
08:15but I think everybody's going to have their own thoughts.
08:19I saw somebody on Twitter saying, never disrespect Casemiro again.
08:24And I thought, well, if Casemiro played like he did in the second half every week for the last year,
08:28he wouldn't get any disrespect. Let's not take it to the playground.
08:31Like, let's judge it on today. You know, some people have criticised Bruno.
08:34I've criticised Bruno. I've criticised Casemiro.
08:37I've criticised Gnacho in the first half.
08:40I think these things are, the criticism is fair.
08:47We're 14th in the league. Our season was nearly over in the middle of March.
08:51There's a reason we are where we are, and it's a collective reason.
08:54But Casemiro's second half was brilliant. Brilliant.
08:57Explain it to me. I don't know. Why? Why can't he do that more often?
09:01Why was he brilliant second half? Before it went down to 10 men, he was brilliant.
09:05You know, Deleuze made a right cock up, didn't he, at 2-1?
09:09And Casemiro's tackle was brilliant.
09:11So my opinion with Casemiro is he's finished.
09:14Like, he's gone in the summer. He needs to go.
09:16But if he can do a job for us between now and the end of the season,
09:19which he has done, and it must be applauded. Agatรฉ didn't play one minute.
09:23He wasn't ready. Agatรฉ clearly wasn't ready.
09:28Nobody's going to figure that out until we think about it now.
09:30But Agatรฉ clearly wasn't ready. He didn't use him. He brought Collier on.
09:33So Casemiro's job in the last few weeks has been essential, and that should be applauded.
09:39Are we getting value for the money? No. Has he been good for a year? No.
09:43But it's like Matic, isn't it? And we will play Matic in the semifinal.
09:47Ricky's going to love it. Two plus two is Matic. He'll probably be on the bench.
09:50But Matic was shit for a year, and then from nowhere, he suddenly got good again.
09:55It can happen. Casemiro's got to go in the summer, obviously.
09:59The wage is too much for what we get, but I'm not going to knock.
10:02I don't do player FC and I don't do agenda.
10:05And if a player puts in a performance, I'll be the first one to say he played well.
10:09And I thought he did play really well second half.
10:11I thought, heaven, for 18 years of age to play 90 minutes
10:16and be picked ahead of Lindelof, brave from Amirim, shows what he wants to do.
10:21I've seen people in recent weeks saying, why isn't he playing the kids?
10:24Why isn't he playing the kids? And I always said he will play the kids.
10:28Look at sporting. He will play the kids,
10:30but he obviously doesn't feel that people like Amas and Fletcher, it's fair to throw them in.
10:36And yet you'll throw heaven in, in the biggest game of the season,
10:38at 18 years of age, and not pick Lindelof. So Amirim will pick the players.
10:43And I think what people need to learn is,
10:46stop getting excited about young players being on the bench and demanding that they play.
10:51They will get picked if they're ready and heaven is ready
10:54and he proved it tonight and he was brilliant.
10:56Dorgu, first half was off it, second half, amazing.
11:02I could see people in the first half though in the watch along going,
11:05Dorgu's a flop, Dorgu's a load of shit.
11:07And I'm like, this is exactly what people did to Xerxe in September.
11:11And now you're eating your words. Stop listening to that idiot in your head
11:16and start thinking, young player, new signing, need time.
11:20Dorgu was brilliant in the second half and that is 100% a red card.
11:23No one's catching him. He's not going to get caught.
11:26That's 100% a red card. He was brilliant second half.
11:29One is a penalty, one is the red card, game changer.
11:32Xerxe was probably going to be my man of the match.
11:36I thought he played really well. A bit like Rasmus, they both could have scored.
11:41They both could have scored. Some people would have said should have scored.
11:45But the pass from Xerxe, Xerxe's not a number nine and he's a number 10
11:53and he'd be wasted as a number nine
11:55because he's going to be too far off the play waiting for service.
11:58He's got to play in that link-up role.
12:00He's got that Berbatov, Cantona, Bergkamp, you know, he's got that Martial.
12:10I'm not comparing him to them, but he's got that sort of va-va-voom.
12:14Now that's Henri. He's got that je ne sais quoi.
12:17He's got that, fuck the French, he's got that thing about him that's just effortless.
12:24And if he's, I think the big thing with Xerxe is a lot of people wrote him off.
12:29But I think he was thinking about Italy.
12:31And I think in January, something switched where he said he stopped thinking about Italy.
12:37And he was like, I'm a Man United player.
12:39And I think ever since that, maybe he was a bit unsettled.
12:42It can happen. But he's been brilliant ever since January and he's getting better and better.
12:46And for season one, you know, you look at De Ligt, you look at Agathe,
12:50you look at Xerxe, you look at Masraoui, you look at Yoro.
12:53They all got criticised. Gary Neville was saying Man United had a crap summer
12:57and I just don't agree. And in a way, that's pro-Ineos.
13:00But I'm not pro-Ineos and I'm not pro Sir Jim Radcliffe.
13:02But I've always said I felt that that summer transfer window was a good one.
13:07And I always said that I felt that some of the criticisms of the signings were disgusting,
13:11mainly from the mainstream, ex-players, etc. And some of our fans fell for it.
13:16But you don't judge a new signing in the first year. You don't.
13:19You've got to give them a year. And I think all of them collectively,
13:23in their own way, are doing really well.
13:26And I mean, De Ligt was a rock tonight. Masraoui was a rock.
13:29Don't blame De Ligt for the penalty. You've got to make that tackle.
13:32Sometimes you get away with it. Sometimes you clip him and it's a penalty.
13:35So yeah, I thought Xerxe was fantastic as well.
13:37But I can't overstate how important winning that game is for our season.
13:44It puts a smile on everyone's face, you know, and we deserve that.
13:49As a fan base, we deserve a smile on our face
13:52because I've been so worried this week about sitting tomorrow morning
13:57and trying to do a 10 a.m. show and trying to justify the next two and a half months
14:01on some transfer window I haven't got a bloody clue about
14:06and a season that doesn't mean anything anymore.
14:09And we don't deserve that. Manchester United should not have its season over in the middle of March.
14:13And that's what I'm grateful for tonight. Every player, every manager, every coach,
14:18sorry, the manager, look, I know they've pissed us off a lot this year,
14:22but when they do something like that and it benefits us as the fans,
14:25I will applaud it. And it was good tonight.
14:27It was good. There's still a lot of work to do.
14:30I don't think that was a performance where you go, we're going to win the tournament,
14:33but hopefully it's a performance where a few goals, a few beliefs.
14:37I really liked as well what I liked tonight as well.
14:41And again, maybe it's the first time I've noticed it.
14:43I always see the defence doing fist pumps and, you know, bouncing off each other,
14:49but I saw it with the attack today from very early in the game.
14:51I saw Xerxe and Rasmus doing it. I saw Gannaccio and Rasmus doing it.
14:56And they played more collective as a team, as a front three.
15:01And I think that's so important because you know what? I could steal it,
15:05but I'm not going to. At times in the first half,
15:08it was almost like people weren't trying to win the Europa League.
15:11They were trying to win the Puskas Award because people were just shooting from stupid areas.
15:16And I think that's true. And the long balls were there as we discussed.
15:21And you're sort of like, the first 10 minutes were shit.
15:25Considering we all know what a big game this is and it's Old Trafford.
15:29An Old Trafford crowd was brilliant and they're simmering again.
15:32And the first 10 minutes were dreadful. Long balls, giving the possession away.
15:37Sossiedad were the better team. It culminated in the penalty,
15:39but they were the better team. And you sort of like go, how do we do this?
15:43How do we know it's a big game?
15:45How do we know the crowd are up for it and not produce?
15:48And I just think it's that immaturity that Amirim obviously grabbed in the second half.
15:57I think that's what's happened. Don't forget to do your player ratings. Mark every player out of 10,
16:02six being the average. We're going to do that. It's Brandon says it's the system, Mark.
16:06Mr. Glenn Johnson says we have been around long enough now.
16:09How many youth we spoiled the potential off by pushing them too early?
16:12United is known for spoiling potentials as Mr. Glenn Johnson.
16:15I just think there's a lot of people tonight that should be apologising to Ruben Amirim.
16:23I think that the system obsession, it's not going to work, this, that and the other.
16:27It was always going to take time.
16:29And I just don't know why people can't give it time, whether it's a young player,
16:33whether it's a new signing, whether it's a new manager.
16:36I mean, I'm not waiting five years for a new stadium
16:39and I'm not putting up with a shit summer transfer window,
16:42but I will give the manager time
16:44and I will give some of these young players a new signings time, of course.
16:47We had so many good players that I almost forgot how good Dawgoo was, Sir Sebastian.
16:50Overall, it seemed like we played with passion.
16:52It was lovely to be smiling after the game like that, Sir Scott.
16:55It's a lovely feeling, Scott, isn't it? The United crowd chanted Xerxes name the game
16:59after he was subbed early and he reacted, says Lee. Respect to Amirim,
17:03trusting Heaven and Dawgoo on the same side. Heaven is going to the moon, says Buff.
17:07Can't remember last time I didn't want a game to end, says Danny.
17:10Does Xerxes remind anyone of Nani? Says Mrs Stone.
17:13Doesn't me, but might remind some. Sky Germany, Austria said the new stadium
17:17looks like a bowl without a soul. Love that comment, says Christian.
17:20To hear Old Trafford this loud made me cry, says Jonas.
17:23Great result, but I'm no way confident these guys will show up against the Premier League team.
17:27A mid-table Brentford is superior to mid-table Sociedad.
17:30Yeah, but you know what, Red Devil? I couldn't give a toss about the Premier League.
17:34Our record in the Europa League is very good.
17:36I couldn't give a toss if we lost every Premier League game from now
17:40till the end of May and won the Europa League.
17:42I'll be honest. Everyone played well tonight, even Delo and Casemiro.
17:45I'd give Bruno Mano the match with Dawgoo and Xerxes not far behind, says United Nick.
17:49Let's mention the fact that Dawgoo told the ref it wasn't a penalty, says Jamie.
17:52I mean, I love the honesty, but if that was the last minute and we were 1-0 down,
17:56I don't think you'd do it, would you? But yeah,
17:58we're in a position, good sportsmanship from a young player, says Jamie.
18:02Scott Burrows, welcome to Members Club. Mojo's gifty 50 memberships is a legend,
18:06of course. Lovely to do that on a lovely night for United. 46,000 watching.
18:11Make sure you smash a like on the video. Wayne Finnegan says heart, passion,
18:15desire, grit, determination, will to win. Outstanding.
18:18Absolutely fantastic game, says Wayne. For Man Utd fans,
18:21I hope you and Man Utd win the Europa League, says Mamba. Heaven cost 1 million, says Sweeney.
18:26Finally, a reason to celebrate a bit, says Mojo.
18:29Wish we could play Sociedad every week, says Neptune.
18:32Yeah, I'll teach them to do the bloody Poznan.
18:35If United were to win a Premier League in the next 10 years,
18:38I could easily see De Ligt doing it with us, says Connor.
18:41What a game by Xerxes, Dawgoo and Casemiro, says Simply Red.
18:44Mark, do you want him to play the kids in the league for the rest of the season?
18:47Rogen, I really don't care. It's the Europa League.
18:50That's all I'm bothered about now. I don't want to risk players injury
18:54or anything in the Prem. So whatever he decides is fine by me.
18:57So happy that has given me such a lift. Let's go for the trophy, says Simon.
19:00I'm going to Old Trafford for the first time against Wolves,
19:02which is 100% going to be rescheduled. Wolves is on the 19th.
19:06Yeah, it will be. I don't know when we play these games,
19:08but they are definitely in April. Xerxes putting a number of good performance on the bounce.
19:11Would have been man of the match without Bruno. I completely agree, Sweeney.
19:14Robbie Day is a new member. What a game for the confidence, says Lewis.
19:17Bring on the French, says Tom. Louis Enrique and Dembele in the summer, says Chris.
19:23This is the difference between having a proper left back.
19:25It was a great point, Sean. Great point. Manikin says has gifted five memberships.
19:30Do Delo Ode Hoyland one, says John.
19:37Yeah, it's ironic, isn't it? That it's absolutely ironic.
19:40Great point that last week Delo didn't pass the ball to Rasmus for a tap-in
19:45and this week Rasmus passes it to Delo for a tap-in.
19:49Maybe Delo will start figuring out how to cross the ball now.
19:52Today, we saw the United Real United, says Lunda.
19:57Kasimir is going to get drug tested after the game, says Vec.
20:01Corey, thanks for remembering for 39 months. Bruno is the problem, says Paul W.
20:06Yeah, I mean, let's grow up a little bit. We're all in a good mood here.
20:09Let's not try the whole, I told you so, bollocks.
20:11We all know that certain players have played badly over this season,
20:17but I think tonight is not a night for that conversation.
20:20I think the thing is that first half, people were playing as individuals.
20:25Second half, they played as a team, which was the better half.
20:28And I think that's probably what Arim said at halftime.
20:31Stop playing as individuals and trust each other as a team.
20:33And I don't think we do that. I don't think people trust each other.
20:37And that's why people shoot from distance or try a Hollywood pass.
20:41And I think second half, they played as a team.
20:44That penalty came from brilliant play between Bruno, Xerxe and Rasmus.
20:50And they couldn't live with it.
20:52I want to see us do that more. That is the Amrim style.
20:55They've just got to trust each other.
20:57Armin, welcome to Members Club. What an improvement from Deleuze, says Paolo.
21:01I mean, look, I'll talk about Deleuze in a minute.
21:03What do you know about Lyon? Haven't seen them. Don't know much, Dari.
21:07I will have to start doing some research.
21:08I had to say I had to stay back work today over time and we play like this, says DV.
21:13Well, at least we're still in it, mate. You'll get to see us in the next round.
21:16One word to describe Xerxe is elegant, says Koala.
21:20Rail sausage, dad.
21:21Dogu sportsmanship on the pen, says West Rum.
21:24Bruno silencing the haters again. Sit down, Roy Keane.
21:27See, I don't want to listen to that Macedonian.
21:29I think what Roy Keane said was valid, but it's not a conversation for tonight
21:33because when players perform in a Man United shirt,
21:35they're doing what Roy Keane and many of us want to happen.
21:39I told you so is not going to work, is it?
21:40Because next time we play shit and we get beat 3-4-0 and he has a bad game,
21:45you'll all be going is shit again. You just got to judge it on the performance.
21:49Last time, long time since I enjoyed a Thursday, says Dejan.
21:53And just so you know, Mark, the number one as a number is blocked by the filter.
21:56No idea why. Anyway, Dogu, man of the match.
21:59But why are you trying to give someone a one? Nervous.
22:03Dogu was on fire. I would love to have Zubamendi near Agatรฉ, says Desiree.
22:07It's the system. Thank you. Right, I'm going to do player ratings.
22:10Oh God, this is going to work because I've got a stretch.
22:15Okay, let me see if this works.
22:19Okay, there we go. Okay, so I'm just going to refresh one more time.
22:25Hopefully you've all done your player ratings.
22:27So an honour for me would be a six tonight and I agree.
22:31Did nothing wrong. I try to think about an honour.
22:35Well, he ain't a ball playing goalkeeper, is he?
22:40He's not a ball playing goalkeeper.
22:41I don't know whether that's a confidence thing,
22:43but he don't look like a ball playing goalkeeper.
22:46But there was one point in the first half where he made a really good high claim.
22:50He's never going to save a penalty, is he?
22:51So I'd give him a six tonight. He hasn't done anything wrong tonight.
22:56Some people are giving him a seven. On what justification?
22:59Like I don't remember. Oh, there was that shot from the corner on the front.
23:03I don't think he had a lot to do is what I'm saying.
23:05Like you can't give somebody a seven when they didn't have a lot to do.
23:09And I said that in both previews. Sociedad don't create many chances.
23:13Six. Masraoui turned into prime sacker at one point.
23:17I mean, bloody hell, seven. Yeah, comfortable seven.
23:20I mean, this is this is Masraoui, isn't it?
23:22He had one of them games tonight, which he seemed to have for the first three months,
23:25where he was just absolutely imperious and that skill at the end was brilliant.
23:31I love Masraoui. He's been a brilliant signing for us.
23:34And I think he was really good tonight.
23:38And experience, which is so important.
23:41Similarly for De Ligt, again, seven for me. Leader at the back.
23:46Got an 18-year-old on his left-hand side that he helped out a lot.
23:51Organized. Bit unlucky on the penalty, but you've got to make those challenges.
23:55I'm never going to knock a player.
23:57Because people, you know, in that situation, if he leaves him, it's a tap-in.
24:01And then he gets criticized.
24:04It's not really his fault how it breaks the right-hand side.
24:07And it's not really his fault where he is as a defender.
24:10He's got to make the challenge. But overall, I thought, you know, on both legs,
24:15I think we kept them really quiet. And I think De Ligt is playing really well at the moment.
24:19Heaven, because he's 18, I'd give him a 7.5.
24:22I think that to be thrown into that situation and do that and keep Lindelof on the bench,
24:28I just think that I'm old enough, I've played the game, to know that it's difficult.
24:37It's difficult in games of that magnitude for somebody to come in and do that.
24:42And we shouldn't underestimate it.
24:45Ironically, he's called Heaven because he has been a godsend.
24:51You know, you think about all the injuries we've got.
24:53Martinez, Yoro, Maguire, Evans, and him being here has been brilliant for us, really.
25:03De Ligt, I'd give him a 6.5 for the goal.
25:05But I will be honest, if he hadn't scored that goal, I think he had a really quiet game.
25:13I barely noticed him in the first half. Second half,
25:16I don't really remember much apart from one good cross and the mistake that Casemiro bailed him out from.
25:22The goal was good, though, so I'll give him 6.5 because he scored a good goal.
25:26But I actually think he had quite a quiet game up until that point.
25:31And there's still a lot of work for De Ligt to do, if I'm being completely honest.
25:34But hopefully that can be a bit of a bit of a confidence boost.
25:38And he had a different, you know, I agree with Sx64.
25:42He did have Becker, who looked good in the first leg.
25:45So, you know, I wouldn't say it was a bad performance, just probably 6 before the goal.
25:50So 6.5. Casemiro, I'd give him a 6.5.
25:57No, I'd give him a 7 actually. I'll give him a 7.
25:59Yeah, because first half was a bit like Man United, just good bits, bad bits.
26:06Second half, I thought he was flawless, really.
26:09The cover on Deleu was brilliant.
26:12The maturity of, you know, just sitting and running the midfield and playing the right pass at the right time and the right tackle.
26:19It's a shame we just can't have Casemiro of that first year.
26:22It's very clear that it's a speed thing, isn't it?
26:26Like in the first year, he was amazing.
26:29And then obviously age caught up with him because he's never going to get that yard of pace back, which he's lost.
26:35So, but I'd give him a 7 tonight.
26:38I think it was a really good second half, really good second half.
26:42Bruno, I would give him an 8.5.
26:44Yeah, and he's got to have man of the match.
26:46I think when you score a hat trick, you know, realistically, when you score a hat trick, you could be heading for 9s and 9.5s.
26:54Two of them were penalties.
26:56But the second, the third goal was great.
26:59The first, the second penalty came from good build up play from him.
27:03Little bit like Casemiro in the first half.
27:06I think it was a bit good bits, bad bits.
27:09But second half, it was a really good performance.
27:11And he has to be the guy.
27:14I said this at halftime.
27:16He's got to be the guy that simplifies things.
27:19It's all right, Amrim saying it before the game and after the game.
27:22But in the first half, people were shooting, people were hitting long balls.
27:26In the second half, they weren't.
27:28And Bruno's got to play a part in that as well.
27:30So it's not just the goals.
27:31He's obviously played a part in calming the team down in the second half, which is really, really important.
27:36So, yeah, I'd give him an 8.5.
27:39Dorgu, 7.5 for me.
27:41Bloody hell, I'll tell you what, I'm loving this new player rating system.
27:44We're so in tune, it seems like.
27:48Yeah, first half, little bit like Bruno Casemiro.
27:52Little bit good bits, bad bits.
27:55Second half, again, flawless.
27:59One is the penalty.
28:01One is the red card.
28:03Provided genuine width.
28:05I will never stop saying it's criminal how United thought they didn't need a left-back.
28:10Last summer transfer window, the January transfer window before that.
28:14Why Man Utd didn't play with a left-back for so long is incredible to me.
28:18Because at the senior level of football, it's about balance.
28:22And Dorgu brings natural balance.
28:24A left-footed player running down the left-hand side who doesn't want to use their right foot.
28:29And you can see it.
28:31I said this in January, Dorgu doesn't even have to be that good.
28:35As long as he's half good, he'll look good.
28:37Fortunately, he is really good.
28:39And the potential is clearly there.
28:41He's going to have ups and downs.
28:43Like he's going to have bad games and good games because he's a young player.
28:46But the potential is clearly there.
28:48And the exciting thing is that obviously we already know that Amrin wanted Mendes.
28:54And if you watched PSG against Liverpool, you can see why he wanted Mendes.
28:58But Mendes is more further along the road.
29:00He'd be a plan A. Dorgu, I feel, is plan B.
29:04And yeah, obviously you want to get your plan A's.
29:08But you're not always going to get your plan A's, especially when you're Man Utd and where we are at the moment.
29:12So at least we didn't end up with a plan D or E.
29:15I think with Dorgu, you could see him being where Mendes is in a couple of years time.
29:20And I think he's really exciting.
29:22Ganaccio for me, 7.
29:26I think that first half, frustrating.
29:29Second half, a symbol of what happened at halftime.
29:33In the second half, he was much better with the ball and much more part of the team.
29:40So I would give Ganaccio a 7. First half, I found him a bit infuriating.
29:44But second half, he was a threat.
29:46I agree with Shrikhan, really. 6.5 to 7 for Ganaccio.
29:50But I want to give these players a boost.
29:53We've won a really important game.
29:55And I don't really see the point in wandering back into negativity.
29:59We needed a result tonight, and they all contributed to it in the second half.
30:03So I want to give them a bit of a lift.
30:06Because I want them to see that when you play as a team, you get the reward.
30:10And I don't want them to see, oh yeah, well, we played as a team, but I don't like him, he's shit.
30:14I want Ganaccio to know that when he shoots and keeps the ball, people moan.
30:19But when you play as a team player, people will go, yeah, you were really good today.
30:23So I think second half, 7's a fair.
30:26What did I give Dorgoo? 7.5.
30:28I mean, I'm going to give Xerxe an 8, actually.
30:31Yeah, I agree, 7.7.
30:32I'm going to give him an 8, because he would have been my man of the match.
30:35Bruno pipped him with the hat trick.
30:37If Bruno hadn't scored the third goal, I think I would have given Bruno an 8,
30:40and Xerxe an 8, and probably given Xerxe man of the match.
30:43So I've got to be very, very consistent here.
30:46I thought he was good in the first half, and I think he was good in the second half.
30:50He was probably the best 90-minute player.
30:52I think, as I said, with Bruno in the first half, there was good bits and bad bits.
30:56But I think Xerxe, across the whole 90 minutes, was consistent.
31:00Probably should have got a goal. That probably would have got him man of the match.
31:03But also, you're competing against someone who's got a hat trick.
31:07So yeah, brilliant from Xerxe. Rasmus, actually a 7 for me.
31:12I actually think that we've won a game of football.
31:16So I want to be positive. And also, I've given him 4s and 5s for weeks.
31:22And I think from minute one, it was very obvious that it was a different Rasmus.
31:25There was a bit more confidence, a bit more belief.
31:30It's a shame he didn't get the goal, and he probably should have got the goal.
31:32But I think there was one on his right foot where he could have scored.
31:35But the assist was really good. The link-up play was good.
31:38You could see that they were working as a team, especially Xerxe and Rasmus.
31:44And look, it's all we've got for the rest of the season.
31:47So I'm hoping that they can build on that.
31:50But I mean, 6.57, I'd say similar performance to Ganaccio, really.
31:55But it was definitely better than a 4 or 5,
31:58which is what we've been getting for the last few weeks.
32:00And I thought the assist for Deleu was really good.
32:03I mean, the skill. He skinned that player. He cut it back.
32:06But it's not just about that. He needs to add goals.
32:09But you've just got to keep your head up and hopefully they will come, really.
32:15There are people in the chat who are still calling him horrible names and stuff.
32:18And those elements of our fan base,
32:21I don't really think you deserve to even celebrate tonight.
32:24You're strange people. We're a team.
32:26We won as a team. And as a fan base, I think most people are really happy.
32:31It's strange how even on a really important, positive night,
32:36you're still riddled with toxicity. But some people want the world to burn.
32:39Some people want to be proved.
32:41You know, I think there's people out there watching that game who actually want us to lose so they can moan.
32:46Most of us didn't want that to happen.
32:48Collier came on and did a good job. 6.5.
32:50I think Collier, if he can stay fit, is going to be a really important player for us.
32:54Didn't notice Ericsson much, to be honest. I'd give him a 6.
32:57And as I said, 7.5 for Amirim. 8 if you want.
33:02I'm happy that you're higher than me.
33:03I think, as I said at the start of the video, we were not where we needed to be in the first half.
33:08And that just shows you he'll have done all the work in the week.
33:11He'll have given the team talk. He'll have told them what to do.
33:15They didn't do it in the first half the way that we needed to do it.
33:18It was too equal. Halftime, they listened. And that's what he's up against.
33:22I do think it's a football IQ thing.
33:25I do think a lot of these players will have to go or learn.
33:29And not all of them will be able to learn.
33:31So he is doing it with maybe two arms behind his back.
33:35Certainly one arm behind his back.
33:37But as I said last week against Arsenal and Sossi at Attaway,
33:42he coached a win and the players masterminded draws.
33:45Today, at halftime, the players masterminded a draw.
33:49And in the second half, he coached a win and they did it.
33:51So team effort, players, manager in unison and fans.
33:56Happy days. Man of the match. If he hasn't got 90% or higher, I'll be stunned.
34:01What? Bloody hell. I tell you what, fair play.
34:05Because I would have thought Hat-Trick, he'd have been 90%, but 72%.
34:12Xerxe in second place with 18%.
34:17And then Dorgu in third place.
34:21But look, he is man of the match. No doubt about that.
34:24And a fantastic performance from Manchester United.
34:26And as I said, I need some rest.
34:29I'm in absolute pain now, but I would not have missed it.
34:33And I'm glad I spent it. Oh, what a perfect day.
34:37I'm glad I spent it with you. Just really positive.
34:41Really, really happy. Great that every player got a good score.
34:46And hopefully they're all there tonight,
34:49realising that if you play as a team, you get the rewards from the fans and on the pitch.
34:54And we played as a team in the second half.
34:56We passed, we moved, we trusted.
34:58And we need to do that more because that's what the Amram system is all about.
35:02Thanks everyone for watching. Get yourself over to the player ratings.
35:07Sorry, get yourself over to the fan forum in Manchester.
35:09I'm trying to think what we can spam them with.
35:12I would say we're going to win it all.
35:16Take care. Thanks for watching.
