02:30I am going to miss this guy a lot. I'm gonna miss this guy. His energy his attitude and how dominant he was on the field

03:32So here's what I think is going on with Howie Roseman. The Eagles have now lost this offseason Becton
03:38Isaiah Rogers Milton Williams Darius Slade Josh Sweat Oren Burks Kenny Pickett CJ Garner Johnson Kenny Gainwell and Rick Lovato
03:45When you take a step back and you look at it overall, you're like that, you know, not too bad, right?
03:50We expected them to lose guys
03:52Here's my thing though, man
03:53It just feels like the Eagles are the punching bag right now and what I'm seeing Howie Roseman do and honestly
03:59I think it could end up really really good or really really bad, but I trust in Howie Roseman
04:04I think he has earned that we've seen him build multiple, you know, three Super Bowl caliber roster
04:10So I trust in Howie, but I'm kind of mad right now Howie because the Eagles win the Super Bowl
04:16They are the most dominant team in the NFL. This wasn't like 2017-18, you know where let's be honest
04:24They had destiny on their side
04:25They were a great team, but you know Wentz gets injured and and Jason Peters and then all these guys are going down
04:31But the Eagles were not losing the game, right? It just felt like they had everything on their side
04:35This year was different because the Eagles just steamrolled through everybody
04:40They dominate Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid on the biggest stage
04:44Completely eviscerate them and they're not even close to getting beaten and I'm looking at the Eagles right now
04:50I'm like, yo, we're talking dynasty. This team could stick around this team could match for a couple years, right?
04:56So the Eagles lose a lot of their pieces now
04:58The good part is that they have a lot of their core guys locked up, especially on the offensive side
05:03But you're looking at a defense who was number one in the NFL widespread Vic Fangio was amazing
05:09Maybe they believe his system can cycle in and you know
05:12Rotate new guys in especially younger players and I believe he can that's how good he is
05:16But it does suck seeing every single guy that we thought had a chance to leave go
05:22And on top of that you trade CJ Gardner Johnson, which I still don't really understand but man
05:28I mean, you know, it just it kind of takes a hit, you know
05:31It kind of stinks that you're gonna have all these new defensive starters, but nonetheless gotta trust in Howie Houdini
05:38And it is you know
05:39I just think what how he's doing is that he's trying to create a new window for the next two to three years and I
05:46Almost think he's looking at it. Like we might take a bit of a step back this year
05:50But we're still good enough to compete. Are we good enough to win it all who knows?
05:54Maybe another couple of teams will get better
05:56I think how he's looking at it like we still will probably get better as we move forward
06:01but the next two to three years
06:03We're going to be able to pay Jalen Carter and Quinion Mitchell and Cooper Jean and all the guys that we really love in
06:09Terms of these young studs, so that's how I think he's looking at it
06:13But how we did preach to us be patient, you know, the offseason doesn't end now at free agency
06:18You have the draft you have training camp guys get cut trades can happen things like that
06:22I will say though after 2022 we saw this similar kind of trajectory and we know it didn't go well in 2023
06:29So I am a little bit nervous
06:31But in Howie we trust now the other thing going on right now is according to Jordan Schultz
06:36Eagles are open to trade talks involving Dallas Goddard and Bryce Huff. We talked about this last week
06:42Now Bryce Huff is in this mix. I honestly forgot Bryce Huff was on the team
06:45I mean your highest paid defensive player healthy scratch in the Super Bowl
06:49And I do think how we will try to move on from him
06:52If not, maybe this guy can resurrect his career, right?
06:54He maybe he could be a piece that you already have here
06:57But they might have to even give up some you know
07:00Draft capital to try to get off his contract because it is brutal but as it relates to Dallas Goddard
07:05I said it last week. I'll say it again. I think trading Goddard would be a mistake
07:10I really do now if the Eagles were to trade Bryce Huff their pre-june 1st
07:15Capit lose 5 million in cap space post-june 1st gain 4 million
07:195 number isn't enough to stop the Eagles if they get a return they think is good
07:23So everybody thinks that Bryce Huff is on the way out. But in terms of Dallas Goddard, I'll say it again man
07:28Like Dallas Goddard and Zach Ertz their situations are not the same you traded Ertz when he was 30
07:34But you had already drafted Goddard
07:36He had already been playing pretty well showing that potential to be a number one and that was already for a couple of seasons
07:42Right now if the Eagles trade Dallas Goddard, they have no replacement, right?
07:46They sign grants in they sign another tight end, but they really don't have that guy, you know
07:51And again Dallas Goddard is an amazing playoff player
07:54He has showed up big time when it matters the most and he's made big play after big play
07:59I know he doesn't play full seasons. I know he gets injured and you know
08:02Honestly think the Eagles shouldn't tie up that much money to Dallas Goddard
08:07I know his agency probably wants a new deal
08:09But if I'm the Eagles I offer, you know
08:11Maybe a two three-year deal some non-guaranteed money on the back end
08:15Keep them around for what you can the next year to draft his replacement this year
08:20let the guy develop just like Goddard did from 2018 to 2020 and then in a couple years you trade Dallas Goddard easy is that
08:28I do not think
08:30That the Eagles should trade Dallas Goddard and break up the chemistry
08:34You know that Dallas Goddard is one of Jalen hurts his security blankets. He you know really appreciates him
08:39He's comfortable with them
08:41And I just don't see a replacement right now
08:42so I do not think they should trade Dallas Goddard and I hope they don't but
08:47From everything we've heard it feels like they're getting ready to move on
08:50And that's just been the theme of the offseason with all these guys
08:53And again, it just kind of takes a hit when you win a super bowl and you're that dominant
08:57And you start rattling off every piece maybe how Rosen was just mad that a fan hit him with a beer can
09:02Or maybe he's got a master plan
09:05Up his sleeve because think about this last year
09:07um the eagles, you know didn't have a
09:11Solid future light laid out for josh sweat, right? He was about to get traded
09:15They were in trade talks with him then they decided to bring him back
09:18Milton williams was coming off a season with 0.5 sacks. Zach bond was signed late was supposed to be an edge
09:24We saw what vic fangio did with him makai beckton wasn't signed yet and isaiah rogers hadn't played in a year
09:30So, you know howie roseman is good at kind of getting his hands into the weeds here and finding some secret gems
09:36but we have to hope that he can do it again and he's really relying on his draft because
09:41Now the eagles have 20 draft picks in the next two years
09:45Plus when the comp picks are laid out who knows if they'll get one for beckton
09:49But I mean they have a lot of draft capital. So how he's really lining up here
09:54If he can replicate what he did the last four years in the draft
09:58To maybe create that dynasty that everybody is talking about but you know, you do have to take a hit right now
10:04You do have to pay certain players here in the next couple years and you have to make those tough decisions now again
10:10I don't think every decision's been perfect. I understand overall like where his head is at
10:15But losing, you know garner johnson back then even if they did everything that they have this off season

10:22And brought back beckton i'd say, you know what perfect off season i'm good a little bit concerning a little bit concerning
10:28but at the end of the day
10:30They go ahead and they bring in a lot of these one-year deals, you know

10:41Howie roseman right now is pretty much like a guy who's like i'm going on vacation in a couple years
10:46I want to take a huge trip to europe and I want to go to all these places
10:50But for now, I have to stop eating out
10:52I have to cut corners stop going out buying junk food and
10:55Really cut my corners and make sure i'm ready for that big vacation in a couple years
10:59All the jokes have been saying how he's going shopping at the discount mart

11:03But at the end of the day how we got to make something happen and how we we trust
11:08And the eagles fans don't want to take a step back. They want to get back to the super bowl this year
