NFL Free Agency 2025 is one day away, and the Eagles have already been active in re-signing some of their own players. However, one fan-favorite is due for a contract extension and there are new rumors suggesting the Eagles may be willing to trade him. 00:41But I want to start it off with a couple more players that we have not mentioned yet that could be potential targets, right?

00:50How we going out finding, you know, maybe the most dominant edge rusher in the game
00:55But over the last couple of days some more guys have piled up the first one is Trey Hendrickson
01:01He has requested permission to seek a trade from the Bengals
01:04He says it's been an honor and privilege to represent Cincinnati and it sounds like he's on his way out
01:10He's had 17 and a half sacks last year at 17 and a half the year before yes
01:15He just turned 31 years old. This guy is also one of the best edges in the entire NFL
01:21He's been the NFL sack leader
01:23So, I mean you put this guy one-on-one imagine what it could do for the Philadelphia Eagles defense
01:28But the problem is that the reason he's requesting a trade number one. The Bengals front office is atrocious
01:33They don't help Joe burrow out at all. They don't keep their good players like this and you know
01:39They're in a tough situation and he wants a higher price tag. He just saw what Max Crosby got paid
01:43So he's saying dang man. I want a bigger contract
01:46I don't know if the Eagles would be able to afford it
01:48But if so
01:49Imagine adding a dominant game changer like Trey Hendrickson and if there's somebody who could figure it out
01:54Howie Roseman probably could he probably has a lot of football left in the tank, even though he's 31 years old
02:00Now the other option a guy who's a bit younger 28 years old Harold Landry released by the Tennessee Titans
02:07So if you went out and got Trey Hendrickson, you might have to give up a second third fourth round pick
02:13Whereas Harold Landry you could get him for nothing sign him, right?
02:16And if you remember back to the trade deadline
02:18The Tennessee Titans were talking about trading Landry and the Eagles were named as a potential target
02:25Now that's the difference between organizations like the Titans and the Eagles
02:29Why would the Titans not trade him try to get value while he still had some pretty good value, right?
02:33I mean the last two years combined he is 19 and a half sacks
02:37Decent tackler just very solid production type of guy
02:40Then you look at the Philadelphia Eagles who would have already traded this guy gotten some value, but here we are now
02:46He's released. He's available for anybody to go sign him and it just feels like a very Howie Roseman esque move

03:44Dallas Goddard now the Eagles put out an amazing mic'd up clip from the Super Bowl their own version and

04:27He has been very very productive, especially when it matters most and Dallas Goddard is in a sticky situation right now

04:42There's a couple tight ends that just got paid. Maybe haven't set the bar that much
04:47Dallas Goddard and his agent are looking going. Hey, we just helped you win the Super Bowl

04:55Dallas Goddard is essentially up for a new deal with not much guaranteed money left in his contract
05:00He would be one of the top free agents available if the Eagles let him go
05:04And he says I think he's either getting a new deal or is going to be traded to a team that will pay him and furthermore
05:10He says that teams around the league now know that Dallas Goddard is available in trade and the Eagles are
05:17Willing to move and that's an important word willing
05:21Feels more and more like Goddard's time with the Eagles is coming to an end
05:24So look you get to a point here where it's hard to extend everybody how we Roseman admitted
05:30We may not have the same team as we did a couple weeks ago
05:33But here's my thoughts on this. All right, there is a fundamental difference
05:38Between Dallas Goddard and Zackert's first off. Shout out to Zackert's. All right, he just got a one-year
05:446.25 million dollar deal with the commanders commanders. Don't move me. They bring back Wagner Zackert's
05:50I still don't think they have nearly enough to compete with the Eagles, but shout out to Zackert's right?
05:54His career was almost over now. He just made himself some more money
05:57So happy for Earth's but if we think back to a couple years ago
06:01When Zackert's was traded by the Philadelphia Eagles already played nine years with the birds helped him win a Super Bowl
06:08He gets traded at 30 31 years old that season
06:12Okay, right Dallas Goddard was drafted after the 2017 Super Bowl. So he was already starting to emerge
06:19You already had the younger more explosive fresher guy in-house, right?
06:24Here's Dallas Goddard stats Dallas Goddard has played with the birds for seven seasons
06:29And although he has had some injury concerns and he's had some issues
06:34This guy just helped you win a Super Bowl
06:37I know Dallas Goddard is now 30 doesn't feel like Dallas Goddard is 30, right?
06:42They traded hurts when he was 30, but as it relates to Dallas Goddard number one the first couple seasons
06:49He was here. He was the number two behind Zackert's so he is a bit fresher number two
06:54He's an amazing playoff player and number three. You are just coming off winning the Super Bowl
06:59So when I look at Zackert's right, they didn't trade him after 2017 when they drafted his replacement
07:04No, they let him play it out a couple more years
07:07Yes things, you know fell to crap and everything imploded but Dallas Goddard is in a much different situation
07:13I think as a talent he might be better than Zackert's. He's again just more explosive quicker
07:19He's not you know as fast as a wide receiver, but he's a lot faster than your typical tight end great hands
07:25Also, he's a great blocker, which I don't know if we can always say the same about Zackert's
07:30But Dallas Goddard is coming off a really good playoff stretch here
07:34And also when you look at his potential replacement say right we talked about the Eagles potentially drafting a tight end this year
07:42Sure, they may do that and I think that's a smart investment and then you know two three years down the line
07:47You make that guy your primary tight end you move on from Dallas Goddard
07:51The Eagles need to find a way and Howie Roseman needs to talk to Dallas Goddard's agent and
07:56Find a way to keep him around for the next two to three years
07:59Maybe that's you know more money up front less guaranteed on the back end again
08:03it would be easier to part with him later, but
08:06Grant Calcaterra as much as I like him as just that
08:09Complimentary tight end a guy who can come in catch a few passes here and there he's not ready to be the guy
08:14EJ Jenkins not ready to be the guy Uzoma probably on his way out
08:18So you would have to draft the tight end and bank on him being ready from day one
08:22And I just don't think the Eagles are in that position
08:25Plus like I said, although Dallas Goddard has missed some time the last couple years
08:29When he needs to show up when it matters most in the postseason
08:33He does it and he's just a very productive player. Very good guy
08:36And I you know, it doesn't seem like there's much regression in his game
08:41So this would be a huge huge mistake if the Eagles decide to move on from Dallas Goddard
08:48And they can't find a way to pay him now again, sometimes money talks, you know what I mean?
08:52But I feel like we're at a point now where this Eagles team's going to contend next year
08:58Maybe the year after maybe the year after and you don't want to move on from one of your best weapons
09:03This is a guy Jalen hurts trust. That's a big thing with Jalen hurts and
09:07Even though he goes under the radar
09:09He's still as important as AJ and Devante and sake one of these guys just because he provides that
09:15Comfortable security blanket for Jalen hurts and he just understands the offense
09:19Overall just a very productive player and I think this is what we envisioned for Dallas Goddard
09:24He's never had a thousand-yard season, but you know, he has a lot of talent and he's never complained
09:30He's always done his job. So I don't think we can really compare this to Zackert's matter of fact
09:35I think they need to learn from Zackert's and
09:37You know, they need to pay this guy because he's a very good player
09:41So give me your thoughts on Dallas Goddard down below. Like I said last year of his deal coming up
09:45He has really no guaranteed money left. His cap hit is 12 million 11 and dead cap

10:04was incorrect the guy did
10:06Jump the gun didn't do any homework and here is what the actual Saquon extension is
10:11The salary cap hit goes up slightly this season. No cap space saved by doing the extension
10:17They lost around 1 million dollars and the extension basically guarantees. He is here for 25 and 26
10:23He can be cut in 27 for minimal dead cap around 3 million dollars
10:28So this was not about you know, reducing the cap it for this season. This was simply about we enjoy you Saquon
10:35You are a superstar. You helped us win. We're going to guarantee that you're here another year already as well
10:42And that's just really brilliant getting out in front of it from Howie Roseman
10:46You know, we're not letting Saquon go anywhere after this upcoming season. We're not playing games
10:51We're gonna make sure our guy is here and we're gonna reward a guy who just had a historical NFL season
