00:00The month of blessings, the ship of greatness, the cradle of life, the soul of Mecca, Medina.
00:10All praise is due to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and the final destination of the righteous.
00:16And peace and blessings be upon His Messenger, the Noble Prophet.
00:21I seek refuge with Allah from Satan, the accursed.
00:23In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
00:26The Gracious, the Merciful.
00:32Respected viewers of ARYQ TV,
00:36under the programme Ilm-o-Amal, today's topic is the excellence of knowledge.
00:44Knowledge is a kind of light that brings us out of darkness, ignorance, and darkness
00:56and leads us to the path of light.
01:01It leads us to the straight path.
01:06Where does Islam begin?
01:08It begins from the Holy Qur'an, which was revealed to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him.
01:22The Holy Qur'an says,
01:24The Holy Qur'an says,
01:28The religion of Islam is all about learning, being taught, reading, teaching, and being adorned with a book.
01:43There is no book in the universe greater than the Holy Qur'an.
01:47All knowledge of the universe has been taken from the Holy Qur'an.
01:51This is knowledge.
01:53This is light.
01:55Those who are far from knowledge are sitting in ignorance,
02:03but they cannot be the trustee of light.
02:06Who is the trustee of light?
02:08He is the one who moves towards knowledge.
02:11The Holy Prophet said,
02:13Those who move towards knowledge are like the angels in the sky.
02:21Someone asked Sheikh Sadi,
02:26What does a person need to lead a good life?
02:33He said, first of all, knowledge.
02:38He said, if you do not have knowledge, then you should have wealth,
02:44so that people respect you for your wealth.
02:54He said, if you do not have this, then you should have wisdom.
03:01He said, if you do not have this, then you should have wisdom.
03:13He said, if you do not have this, then you should die.
03:18You do not have the right to live.
03:20So, first of all, knowledge.
03:23How can we compare knowledge to wealth?
03:26Knowledge has no value.
03:29Knowledge is a precious wealth.
03:32Everything is divided in the universe.
03:37And everything is lessened after being divided.
03:40There are two principles.
03:42If you have wealth, a house, property,
03:49then it will be divided in inheritance.
03:52But the one who has knowledge,
03:54he will have knowledge and will live.
03:56He will not be divided in inheritance.
04:00And secondly, if you have wealth,
04:02then you spend less.
04:05If you have food, then you spend less.
04:10Knowledge is such a light that as you spend,
04:13as you teach people,
04:15the colours of knowledge increase.
04:20And the light shines.
04:23And there is an increase in the light.
04:30So, gaining knowledge was the way of the prophets.
04:37Teaching knowledge, learning knowledge,
04:39being connected to knowledge.
04:42Here too, those who learn the Quran,
04:44those who teach the Quran,
04:46those who are connected to the Quran,
04:49those who go to Madrasas,
04:52those who learn the Quran,
04:53those who recite the Quran,
04:56are considered better than the Nawafil.
05:00Therefore, dear viewers,
05:03keep yourself connected to knowledge.
05:06In the blessed hadith,
05:07Prophet Mohammad has declared his personality
05:13as the city of knowledge.
05:16I am the city of knowledge.
05:20I am the city of knowledge.
05:21I am the city of knowledge.
05:24And regarding knowledge,
05:26my master, the Prophet Mohammad,
05:29was given the knowledge of what is to be and what is not.
05:34He was given the command to write.
05:37So, all these things,
05:39writing, reading, gaining knowledge,
05:44school, madrasa, college, university,
05:48all these things are necessary.
05:51Now, what we need to see is
05:53what knowledge are we gaining?
05:56How are we gaining it?
05:58In that, because there are ranks and ranks,
06:03but the reality of knowledge
06:06is established in its own place.
06:10There are more or less ranks.
06:12Obviously, if we read the Quran,
06:15there is no greater knowledge than this.
06:17After that, there is religious knowledge,
06:20Islamic knowledge.
06:21We study in madrasas.
06:23But along with that,
06:25there is modern knowledge,
06:26modern knowledge,
06:28which is the delicacy of time.
06:30If we do not study English,
06:33then how will we benefit from words,
06:37wording, the world,
06:39computers, laptops?
06:42If we do not study chemistry or biology,
06:45then how will we benefit?
06:48So, we should gain all these sciences.
06:51And see, whether it is chemistry, physics,
06:56mathematics, algebra,
06:59where has all this come from?
07:02These great scientists who have passed,
07:07these chemists,
07:09Imam Jafar Sadiq's students,
07:12they have benefited from them.
07:15So, in this way, all sciences are from the Quran.
07:18Now, to differentiate between their names,
07:20to change their names,
07:22and to learn from their everyday matters,
07:25this practice is very important.
07:29As far as knowledge is concerned,
07:31the way knowledge is without a dot,
07:33the word itself is without a dot,
07:36in the same way, its condition is also such
07:39that it is at all times,
07:41at all places, at all places,
07:43it has its own individuality.
07:47Therefore, knowledge is light,
07:49and to live without knowledge is ignorance.
07:53And our Auliya, Sulaha, Aima,
07:58all these people have been honoured with knowledge.
08:02Because knowledge is honoured,
08:05therefore, whoever is connected to knowledge,
08:07he is honoured.
08:10Dear children, students,
08:13to keep acquiring knowledge,
08:16and to acquire knowledge from age to age,
08:22not that you have studied for 10 years,
08:25you have completed your MA,
08:29or you have done your MBBS,
08:30you have become a doctor,
08:31or you have become a scholar,
08:33then there is no need for knowledge.
08:34After studying for 8 years,
08:36you have completed your course,
08:39you have completed your course,
08:42but since knowledge is with you all your life,
08:46knowledge is with you till the grave,
08:49so knowledge is not just a book,
08:51there is wisdom in knowledge,
08:53and wisdom is found in those who have knowledge.
08:56Wisdom, understanding and insight,
09:01this is also knowledge.
09:04There is one person,
09:06he has studied in a book,
09:08but he does not know how to get up, sit, walk,
09:11he does not know the principles of life.
09:17What will his knowledge do to him?
09:19It is a matter of life and death.
09:22And what knowledge is beneficial to you?
09:28The commandments of Allah the Lord of Glory,
09:32training,
09:35principles of life,
09:38principles of the world,
09:40he teaches all these things.
09:42This is knowledge.
09:46Now, that knowledge in which we do not have training,
09:51in which we have studied but have not learnt,
09:55that knowledge is a matter of life and death for us.
09:58And the knowledge that we have learnt from training,
10:02one of our teachers,
10:04he used to tell us in the age of scholarship,
10:09that there is one knowledge that you learn from a book,
10:14you learn by reading the pages of the book,
10:19but there is another knowledge that you see me,
10:23you pay attention to me,
10:25you learn from me,
10:27you get training,
10:29and this knowledge is a beneficial knowledge.
10:32Therefore, ladies and gentlemen,
10:36today we need to teach our children the benefit of knowledge.
10:44Along with Madras,
10:46we need to give them school and primary education,
10:49but there must be the benefit of knowledge.
10:52And the benefit of knowledge is the knowledge of the Quran.
10:55It is the knowledge of the Ahadith.
10:58It is the knowledge of the Ahadith.
11:06All these things come under the umbrella of knowledge.
11:11Therefore, knowledge is such a light,
11:15that the person who does not have knowledge,
11:19he has the light of the eyes,
11:22but he does not have understanding,
11:26he does not have insight.
11:27Hazrat Sultan-e-Bahu, may Allah have mercy on him,
11:30says so beautifully,
11:31ilm-u-baaj karein faqeeri,
11:34ta qaafir mare diwana hu.
11:37That is, there is a position,
11:39but there is no knowledge.
11:41Now, it is very important to have a position and knowledge.
11:47Along with the position,
11:49he should take benefit from that knowledge,
11:52and when he takes a lot of benefit through knowledge,
11:56then his position and knowledge will never let him be disgraced.
12:00And for the sake of knowledge,
12:02for the sake of the knowledge of religion,
12:05for the sake of the knowledge of the world,
12:09our Imams have given their lives.
12:14Imam-e-Malik, may Allah have mercy on him,
12:16Imam-e-Ahmad bin Hambal, may Allah have mercy on him,
12:19Imam-e-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him,
12:22Imam-e-Azam Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him,
12:25Imam-e-Safi, may Allah have mercy on him.
12:28All these people have endured so many hardships for the sake of knowledge.
12:34Imam-e-Bukhari, may Allah have mercy on him,
12:37and all our Akabirin,
12:41they have endured so many hardships for the sake of knowledge.
12:45They travelled.
12:46It is mentioned in Hadith-e-Mubaraka,
12:47Get knowledge, even if you have to travel to China.
12:52They travelled all over the world for the sake of knowledge.
12:55Sayyid-e-Ghous-e-Azam, may Allah be pleased with him,
12:59how much did he travel for the sake of knowledge?
13:02And then, this is his condition and status.
13:05Some people today say that the Ahl-e-Aam-e-Tasawwuf do not need knowledge.
13:10They have their own knowledge.
13:12However, the Ahl-e-Aam-e-Tasawwuf need double the knowledge.
13:20Why?
13:20Because they are the ones who train people.
13:23If they do not have their own knowledge,
13:25then how will they train people?
13:29May I make a sacrifice?
13:31Huzoor, Sayyid-e-Ghous-e-Azam,
13:34he leads thirteen events every day in Jamia-e-Nizamia.
13:38Ghous-e-Azam,
13:40Kandeel-e-Nurani,
13:42Ghous-e-Samdani,
13:44Al-Hasni-Wal-Husaini,
13:46and our Shayukh-e-Aala.
13:48From where these springs of blessings flow.
13:51This is his condition and status.
13:53He leads thirteen events every day.
13:56However, the principle is that
13:57the one who has wealth will lead.
13:59The one who has logic will lead.
14:01Just like in our colleges and universities,
14:05the English, the physics, the chemistry, the biology,
14:09they teach their own knowledge.
14:11However,
14:12Huzoor, Sayyid-e-Ghous-e-Azam,
14:14in the field of knowledge, made his own iron so strong
14:17that people like Ibn-e-Taymiyyah had to accept
14:21that Ghous-e-Azam's knowledge
14:23is beyond compare.
14:26And where the conditions of the present and the past are different,
14:29and Ghous-e-Azam leads thirteen events every day,
14:32therefore,
14:33dear viewers,
14:34knowledge has a second level for the Sufis.
14:38It is more important.
14:41Both worldly knowledge and religious knowledge.
14:44So, no one can compete with knowledge.
14:48Knowledge has no equal.
14:51We are not in competition with it.
14:54Knowledge has individuality in all cases
14:57and in all cases, it has its own glory and status.
15:01And those who have knowledge,
15:03those who are connected to knowledge,
15:05those who are connected to knowledge,
15:06their condition and state is that
15:08they appear to be in such a bondage,
15:11they appear to be in such a shackle
15:14that the way their character is seen,
15:17similarly, their speech is seen.
15:20The way their appearance is seen,
15:24similarly, their character is seen.
15:28They appear transparent.
15:30The maturity in them
15:33becomes an example of light upon light because of knowledge.
15:38And this is the reason
15:39that the saints of Allah
15:42remain connected to knowledge.
15:44All of their saints remain connected to knowledge.
15:48Hazrat Khawaja Nizamuddin Auliya Rahmatullah Ta'ala
15:52or Hazrat Khawaja Gharib Nawaz,
15:55Khawaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri Rahmatullah Ta'ala.
15:58Today, look at the madness of these people.
16:02Today, read their madness.
16:06Today, Khawaja Ghulam-e-Farid
16:08Rahmatullah Ta'ala
16:10read the poetry of the Punjabi and Saraiki poets.
16:15Today, read Rumi-e-Kashmir, Aarif-e-Khari,
16:18Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh Rahmatullah Ta'ala.
16:23And read the poetry of people like Maulana Rumi
16:31and read his Rishahat-e-Kalam.
16:35Pick up Kashf-ul-Mahjoob
16:38and read Ghuniyat-ul-Talibin.
16:42Read Al-Fatuh-ur-Rabbani, Sir-ul-Asraar.
16:48Read Hazrat-e-Ameer-e-Millat Rahmatullah Ta'ala.
16:53Read the writings of Mujaddid-e-Ghulda.
16:58These are the people who remain connected to knowledge
17:04and consider knowledge to be light.
17:06Knowledge is light.
17:09This cannot be denied.
17:12Knowledge is light.
17:15Knowledge is light.
17:17Knowledge is light.
17:18Knowledge is light.
17:19Knowledge is light.
17:21Knowledge is light.
17:25The more you are connected to knowledge,
17:29the better you will be.
17:32Because knowledge and education are the two sides of the same coin.
17:41Education and education.
17:45When knowledge and education are combined,
17:49it becomes Faiz-an-Noor-an-Ala-An-Noor.
17:51May Allah enable us all to remain connected to knowledge,
17:55love knowledge,
17:58and always strive to acquire knowledge.
18:01For tomorrow, I take your leave.
18:03Allah Hafiz.
