Sunday night, President Trump held an Air Force One press gaggle.

00:00Congratulations on the golf game, sir.
00:01Oh, thank you.
00:02It was a lot of fun.
00:03It's good.
00:04We had a good time.
00:05And we learned a lot.
00:06We're doing pretty well, I think, with Russia.
00:07And we'll see if we have something to announce, maybe by Tuesday.
00:08I'll be speaking to President Putin on Tuesday.
00:09And a lot of work has been done over the weekend.
00:10We want to see if we can bring that war to an end.
00:11Maybe we can.
00:12Maybe we can't.
00:13But we'll see.
00:14We'll see.
00:15We'll see.
00:16We'll see.
00:17We'll see.
00:18We'll see.
00:19We'll see.
00:20We'll see.
00:21We'll see.
00:22We'll see.
00:23We'll see.
00:24We'll see.
00:25We'll see.
00:26We'll see.
01:27We'll see.
01:28We'll see.
01:29We'll see.
01:30We'll see.
01:31We'll see.
01:32We'll see.
01:33We'll see.
01:34We'll see.
01:35We'll see.
01:36We'll see.
01:37We'll see.
01:38We'll see.
01:39We'll see.
01:40We'll see.
01:41We'll see.
01:42We'll see.
01:43We'll see.
01:44We'll see.
01:45We'll see.
01:46We'll see.
01:47We'll see.
01:48We'll see.
01:49We'll see.
01:50We'll see.
01:51We'll see.
01:52We'll see.
01:53We'll see.
01:54We'll see.
01:55We'll see.
01:56It's a very dangerous thing for our country.
01:59And I would suspect that we're going to have to
02:01get a decision from the Supreme Court.
02:04But that's a very dangerous decision for our country.
02:07These are people, in many cases, they don't show up
02:09for work.
02:11Nobody even knows if they exist.
02:13And a judge wants us to pay them even if they
02:16don't know they exist.
02:17If they exist.
02:18And I don't think that's going to be happening, but
02:21we'll have to see.
02:22You have to speak to the lawyers about that.
02:24Did the administration actually, speaking of
02:27orders, violate Judge Boasberg's order in
02:29sending back the Venezuelan gang members and
02:32not bringing them back?
02:33I don't know.
02:34You have to speak to the lawyers about that.
02:36Are you planning to do more deportations?
02:38I can tell you this.
02:38These were bad people.
02:40That was a bad group of, as I say, hombres.
02:44That was a bad group.
02:46When you look at them and you look at the crimes
02:49that they've committed, you take a look.
02:52You don't get any tougher.
02:53You don't get worse than that.
02:54I don't understand that.
02:55So, we do have to ask the lawyers.
02:57Yeah.
02:58The Press.
02:59Sir, there's been some criticism that the Alien
03:01Enemies Act has only been invoked three other times.
03:03They were all during times of war.
03:05Do you feel that you're using it appropriately
03:07right now?
03:08Well, this is a time of war because Biden allowed
03:11millions of people, many of them criminals, many
03:14of them at the highest level.
03:17They emptied jails out.
03:18Other nations emptied their jails into the
03:20United States.
03:21That's an invasion.
03:23And these are criminals.
03:24Many, many criminals, murderers, drug dealers
03:28at the highest level, drug lords, people from
03:32mental institutions.
03:33That's an invasion.
03:36They invaded our country.
03:37So this isn't, in that sense, this is war.
03:42In many respects, it's more dangerous than war
03:43because, you know, in war, they have uniforms.
03:45You know who you're shooting at.
03:46You know who you're going after.
03:48These are people that came out.
03:49They're walking on streets.
03:51We have thousands of murderers that Biden and
03:54his incompetence, he first of all, he's grossly
03:56incompetent, but that Biden and his people and
04:00his probably auto pen.
04:03It looked like we had an auto pen for a President
04:06and we would have been better off if we had
04:08probably.
04:08But it looks to me like, you know, that's a big
04:10subject.
04:11I'm sure you won't ask about that.
04:13But the whole subject of auto pen, did he know
04:17what he was doing?
04:18Did he authorize it?
04:19This is somebody in an office, maybe a radical
04:22left lunatic, just signing whatever that
04:24person wants.
04:24That's not what the, you know, it's all about.
04:28I never use it.
04:31I mean, we may use it as an example to send some
04:35young person a letter because it's nice.
04:37You know, we get thousands and thousands of letters
04:40and letters of support for young people, for people
04:43that aren't feeling well, et cetera.
04:45But to sign pardons and all of the things that he
04:48signed with an auto pen is disgraceful.
04:50It's disgraceful.
04:51The Press.
04:51Mr. President, as markets and consumers continue
04:53reacting to tariffs, sorry, as markets and
04:56consumers react to tariffs, do you have any
04:58inclination to create exceptions or heels up on
05:01any?
05:02About what?
05:02To create exceptions to the steel and aluminum
05:05tariffs?
05:06No, I have no intention of it, no.
05:08No.
05:09Please, Mr. President.
05:10April 2nd is a liberating day for our country.
05:13We're going to be getting back some of the wealth
05:15that very, very foolish presidents gave away
05:18because they had no clue what they were doing.
05:21And April 2nd, I would have made it April 1st.
05:24But you know what April 1st is?
05:25April Fool's Day, I figured.
05:27You know, I don't like doing it, but I made it
05:30April 2nd.
05:30But it's a liberation day for our country because
05:34we're going to be getting back a lot of the wealth
05:36that we so foolishly gave up to other countries,
05:39including friend and foe.
05:41Yes, go ahead.
05:41The Press.
05:42You've talked about the hangover from the Biden
05:44economy.
05:45Is this your economy now?
05:46The President.
05:48Certain things are.
05:51Certainly tariffs are, but we've already taken in
05:53billions of dollars.
05:55You know, we've taken in already billions of
05:57dollars, and we haven't even really started the
05:59program, other than certain areas, certain
06:02pinpointed areas, as you know.
06:05And many billions of dollars have already come
06:08into our country.
06:10The big money is coming in on April 2nd, from April 2nd.
06:14But I will tell you what it's for.
06:15When I took it over, eggs were through the roof,
06:17and now eggs are down 35 percent over a short
06:20period of time.
06:21And other things.
06:22Fuel, gasoline, energy is down, way down.
06:26Oil is down to $65 a barrel.
06:29It was $82 a barrel.
06:31And when energy comes down, pricing is going to
06:34come down.
06:34Prices for groceries, et cetera, are going to come
06:37down.
06:38So, yeah, I think we're setting a good table.
06:40The Press.
06:41Sir, on April 2nd's tariffs, are you planning
06:43to do sectoral and reciprocal tariffs?
06:45Will you do sectoral tariffs?
06:46The President.
06:47What are you going to do?
06:48In certain cases, Bob, it's going to be reciprocal.
06:51In other words, whatever they're charging, we're
06:52charging.
06:53Very simple.
06:54If they're charging us, we're charging them.
06:57It's no longer they charge us, but we don't
06:59charge them.
07:00It's foolish Presidents.
07:03And Biden, but others also, in all fairness.
07:05Look, Biden is the worst President we've ever had.
07:08He made Jimmy Carter look like a good President.
07:12But on this, a lot of other Presidents were
07:15guilty also.
07:16Some very good Presidents were guilty.
07:19They charge us and we charge them.
07:22Then, in addition to that, on autos, on steel, on
07:24oil, we're going to have some additional tariffs.
07:27The Press.
07:28Mr. President.
07:29Yeah.
07:29So, to follow up on the Biden auto pen, are those
07:33executive orders, those partings from the former
07:35President now null and void?
07:38Well, I think so.
07:38It's not my decision.
07:40That'll be up to a court.
07:42I would say that they're null and void because I'm
07:44sure Biden didn't have any idea that it was taking place.
07:48And somebody was using an auto pen to sign off and
07:50to give pardons to, as an example, just one example,
07:56but the J6 unselected committee.
07:59They gave, think of it, they gave pardons with an
08:02auto pen.
08:03I don't think Biden knew anything about it.
08:05And what they did is they deleted and destroyed all
08:08the information that took them over a year to get.
08:12And the reason they did that is because the
08:14information was very incriminating about them.
08:19Like, Nancy Pelosi was determined conclusively
08:21that she knew about 10,000 soldiers and turned it down.
08:25And if we used 500 soldiers, you would have
08:27no problem, let alone 10,000.
08:31The young lady that said that I grabbed these
08:34powerful young Secret Service agents by the neck.
08:39Okay, you know that was a big hoax.
08:41It was a lie.
08:42And she admitted it.
08:44And they deleted everything.
08:46So, you know, what they did is criminal.
08:49I think we're about to land, everybody.
08:52Okay, have a good time.
08:53We'll see you very soon.
08:55The Press Are you going to the Kennedy Center tomorrow?
08:57The President I am.
08:59I'll see you at the Kennedy Center.
09:01You know, we have to straighten it out.
09:02It's not a good situation.
09:04Like everything else in this country.
09:06But we're going to straighten it out.
09:08The Press Are you worried because Vice President
09:09Vance was booed there a couple days ago?
09:10The President No, no.
09:12And he's doing a great job.
09:14He's doing a great job.
09:15Thank you, everybody.
