00:08Malacanang assured that the government will help some Filipinos arrested in Qatar after an unauthorized rally took place there.
00:18According to Palace Press Officer and PCO Undersecretary Claire Castro,
00:23the government is ready to provide legal assistance to those arrested under the Qatari law.
00:31Anyone can be jailed for up to three years and will be arrested in a rally without a permit.
00:38According to the Department of Foreign Affairs,
00:41some Filipinos gathered in Qatar as a tribute to the late President Rodrigo Duterte.
00:51It is still an obligation of the government and the administration to help Filipinos regardless of their color.
01:00We do not blame anyone, we do not discriminate against anyone.
01:05As long as they are Filipinos, the administration will help them.
01:09The mother of an elderly man filed a complaint with the Department of Justice
01:17for using his son's name in a rape case even though it is not true.
01:24According to the DOJ, Baltasar Beltran of the Beltran-Madrid Law Office,
01:31the son of a Laksinaan Sinlaw was not a real victim of the rape.
01:37The fiscal complaint was also questionable because the complainants used the word imposter
01:45to accuse the mother of the alleged victim.
01:48The Sinlaw family did not know that their son was raped and he did not show up
01:54to the City Prosecutor's Office of Olongapo City because of the situation of the case.
02:00They asked the DOJ to clarify the complaint and to release the minor who is being held in custody by the rapists.
