00:00So I made the application, I think it was up to three months it took to reply and then it was
00:05declined because it was seen that because I was on the transplant list therefore I was going to
00:12get a transplant and I wouldn't need the badge so therefore they deemed it as temporary and
00:16therefore didn't award the badge. That's it in essence. So basically in dialysis it was
00:22essentially there were people who were very sick but couldn't get the badge because again
00:28their particular Kent County Council saw it like that, that it was a temporary thing you were
00:33going to get your transplant whereas as a kidney patient you don't know when your transplant's
00:37coming, you don't know how much worse you're going to be. Some people are on the transplant list for
00:43you know a year, some people on it for nine years. So it's one of those where there's quite a
00:49campaign amongst kidney organisations to try and get it recognised that it should be blue badge
00:54status sort of almost by default because it's a serious thing but it's judging that level of
01:01mobility, judging your need and because it fluctuates that doesn't fit into a nice easy
01:07box to say oh yes that's that.
