00:00Meanwhile, the National Security Council is alerting the arrest of our three countrymen in China because of the alleged espionage.

00:08According to the National Security Council, the so-called Filipinos are the recipients of the Hainan Government Scholarship Program

00:16that was established by the Sisterhood Agreement of the provinces of Hainan and Palawan.

00:21These ordinary Filipinos have no background in military training and have no criminal records that were recorded in the screening conducted by the Chinese government before they arrived there.

00:33The NSC also questioned the edited video released by the Chinese media that shows the confession of the arrested Filipinos that appears to be scripted.

00:44One of the questions raised here is the mention of the Philippine Intelligence Agency or Philippine Spy Intelligence Services, which has not responded to our country.

00:55For now, the government is tight-lipped on the situation and the safety of our arrested Filipinos.

01:02According to the NSC, the DFA and the Philippine Embassy in Beijing are continuously coordinating to ensure that they will receive the legal support they need.
