00:00Space.com here in western North Carolina. I'm sitting here beside a piece of large
00:05space debris that is believed to come off of a SpaceX Crew Dragon service
00:10module, what SpaceX refers to as a trunk. It was discovered here along the Sunset
00:14Summit Trail at the Glamping Collective in Canton, North Carolina. The grounds
00:19keeper was outperforming his duties on the trail and discovered this on May 22nd.
00:23As you can see it's a large piece of metal, carbon fiber. It's amazing so much
00:28of it survived re-entry and it's really thankful it didn't fall on anybody or
00:33any property because this could have done some serious damage.
