00:38According to Presidential Communications Office Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer, Attorney Claire Castro, the President did not ignore the alarming warnings regarding the identity of Li Duan Wang, who could pose a potential threat.
00:50Sa kanyang veto message ay sinabi ng Pangulo, and I quote,
00:53I am unable to blindly ignore the alarming and revealing warnings raised by our relevant national agencies that find the subject grantees' character and influence to be full of ominous and dark consequences, if not of a clear and present danger.
01:12The President also pointed out that Filipino citizenship is a privilege and not something that should be easily given away.
01:18He also said that it should not be used as a tool to further suspicious personal interests.
01:24Sinabi rin ng Pangulo na kapag tayo ay nagbigay ng Filipino citizenship, higit pa sa mga legal na karapatan ang ating ibinibigay.
