Plenty of sunshine for much of central and eastern England and Scotland through the afternoon. Western parts of Wales and southwest England seeing a much cloudier picture though, with bands of rain working their way northwards, reaching southern Scotland by mid afternoon. Eastern borders of Northern Ireland potentially seeing some of this rainfall also. Feeling warm in the east, and cooler in the west. This is your Met Office UK weather forecast for 12/04/2025. 00:00Hello there, welcome to your latest weather update from the Met Office. Well
00:03the advertised change in the weather is starting to happen across western areas
00:08this afternoon. We're seeing some bands of rain work their way up across parts of
00:12southwest England and Wales, maybe just knocking on the doorsteps of Northern
00:16Ireland too as we approach the middle of the afternoon. Elsewhere we hang on to
00:21the fine conditions for one more day, especially out towards the east some
00:24pleasant sunshine to be had here and in the sunshine feeling warm we could see
00:28highs reaching 23 or 24 degrees in the southeast where further west with the
00:33cloud cover and the rain in place certainly feeling a little bit cooler
00:36than what we have seen over the last couple of days. Into the evening hours
00:41these areas of cloud and rain will spread their way right across the country so I
00:46think by the end of the night most of us seeing at least a few splashes of rain but
00:50with the cloud cover in place for most of us it will be a milder night than what we
00:54have certainly got used to over the last few nights with most towns and cities
00:58staying up at least into mid single figures. So overall Sunday there certainly
01:04will be much more cloud in the sky than the last few days but there will still be
01:08some sunshine to be had especially initially across Scotland and Northern
01:12Ireland and then eventually maybe England cheering up a little later on in
01:16the day but in between we will see a few showers and I think most of us are not
01:21going to be immune completely but I think the greatest risk will be across
01:25Scotland, Northern Ireland and down towards the far southwest. A few of these
01:29showers could be on the heavy possibly thundery side and I think what we will
01:33notice is the fresher feel to things I think most of us seeing temperatures into
01:38the low teens but still hanging on to something a little bit warmer down towards
01:42the far southeast where we could see highs reaching at 16 or 17 degrees. Into the
01:48evening a lot of England and Wales actually turn in dry but another band of
01:52sherry rain working its way into Northern Ireland and Scotland and that really is
01:57going to set us up for a fairly changeable week across the UK further
02:01spells of rain and showers but in between there will still be some pleasant
02:05spells of sunshine but for most of those temperatures we turn into nearer to
02:09average for the middle part of April but you can find out the weather
02:13information where you are on our website or on our app but for me for now take
02:17care and I'll see you again soon.
