00:00In Turkey, the International Forum on Diplomacy in Antalaya has concluded its third day of
00:05roundtable discussions. Upon participating in the forum, Venezuelan Foreign Minister
00:10Ivan Hill congratulated the Turkish government for hosting the event, while Turkish Foreign
00:15Minister Hakan Fidan expressed the importance of diplomacy in times of global fragmentation.
00:20Details from our correspondent, Juno Sohre.
00:22The forum concluded after more than 50 panel discussions. The third and final day touched
00:31on issues such as empowering global youth in a digital world and the fight against racism in
00:37the 21st century. There may be racism in the European Union against Muslims, against black
00:44people, against gypsies, also against anti-Asian sentiments, anti-Semitism, obviously, and other
00:52forms of it.
00:53Why is it Christian here? It's also Jewish, it's also Muslim. Muslims and Jews and Christians
01:00have been inhabited in Europe for over a thousand years.
01:04Another panel was devoted to foresight as an instrument of diplomacy with alert positions.
01:11The exponent called for the exclusion of artificial intelligence from decision-making processes.
01:33On the other hand, the Venezuelan Foreign Minister participated in the panel on critical raw materials
01:39in the era of competition and gives a positive summary of the forum.
01:42We see that the Turkish government and his president, his foreign minister, have organized
01:50this fourth edition where there has been a fabulous participation. More than 100 countries
01:55have been here working together. We have seen, for example, a condemnation of the genocide
02:00against Palestine. We have also seen condemnation against unilateral coercive measures. We have
02:05seen how the role of multilateralism, the role of cooperation of the global south and east
02:11has been vindicated, and I think it is a very positive opportunity for our countries.
02:15The fourth edition of the forum, this year entitled Recovering Diplomacy in a Fragmented World, was
02:28closed by the Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fittin.
02:33The forum shed light on regional and global developments and proposed solutions to existing
02:37problems. At this year's meeting, we all expressed our hopes and concerns about the common future
02:42of humankind. We discussed the mechanisms of cooperation that will build this future together.
02:53The Turkish Foreign Minister stressed that Turkey will continue to defend the values of
02:58multilateralism and humanity.
