00:00Today, Rupert helps a tree which is upside down to turn the right way round in Rupert
00:15and the upside down tree.
00:17There's a little bear that you've never seen before who's a lot of fun.
00:23Children everywhere know to love him more and more, he's the number one.
00:31There's a million stories to be told of the things that he's done.
00:37And he's gonna share them all with you, so come along.
00:44Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.
00:51Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join in all of his game.
01:06Rupert, Rupert, come quick, shouts Pong Ping, hurrying into the garden.
01:12The big tree on the common has turned completely upside down.
01:16Goodness gracious, exclaims Mrs. Bear, there hasn't been a storm.
01:21And she looks worriedly up at the sky, for she's just about to hang her washing up to dry.
01:26Oh no, it hasn't been blown over.
01:29It looks as if someone's just turned it upside down.
01:33Wizardy whiz, let's go and inspect it properly.
01:37And Rupert leaps into his chariot.
01:39Pong Ping and the little dragon hastily climb in two, and the three take off.
01:45Bye, Mummy. Bye.
01:48Trees upside down, whatever next.
01:53Pong Ping is right.
01:55The big tree has been turned completely upside down.
01:59And it looks very odd with its roots waving about in the air.
02:03It's not dignified for all tree like that, complains Pong Ping.
02:09Well, I don't suppose it turned upside down on purpose, says Rupert.
02:14And no one's been digging either, he adds, examining the ground around the tree.
02:19Bobby!
02:21Bobby!
02:22Hello, Bill, shouts Rupert.
02:25Look at the big tree.
02:27Huh?
02:28Oh yes, says Bill, glancing at it vaguely.
02:31I've lost Bobby.
02:33Poor Bill's very worried.
02:35Why did you lose him?
02:37Asks Pong Ping.
02:38Why, just him out here, Bill explains.
02:41He crawled behind that bush and just disappeared.
02:45Shhh!
02:46Mrs. Rupert.
02:47I can hear something.
02:49Seesaw, Margerito.
02:51Bobby shall have a new master.
02:53Seesaw, Margerito.
02:55Bobby shall have a new master.
02:58Seems raggedy.
03:00It's raggedy.
03:02And he must have Bobby.
03:04I can hear a baby laughing.
03:07He shall have but a penny a day.
03:11I know, cries Pong Ping.
03:13George will track him down.
03:19So over the common hurry the three, far away from the upside down tree.
03:24All wondering why Bobby should roam such a long, long way from home.
03:29You see, George is following Bobby's scent, says Pong Ping proudly as the little dragon runs from door to door sniffing busily.
03:44Perhaps Bobby's in here.
03:46Bill opens a door.
03:48That's Mr. Grimnasty's bedroom, gasps Rupert.
03:52Who's there?
03:53Thunders Mr. Grimnasty, sitting up in bed.
03:56First a terrible earthquake wakes me up and now you, he continues crossly.
04:01Oh my goodness, cries Bill, rushing down the passage after George.
04:05I must rescue Bobby.
04:10On and on hurry the three after the little dragon.
04:14Hey look, there's one of the rabbit's doors, says Rupert.
04:23Let's knock and ask him if he's seen or heard anything.
04:26Just then, the door flies open and out pops Rabbit.
04:30Oh, have you seen my baby brother, asks Bill.
04:34The rabbit shakes his head.
04:36I've late, I've late, can't stop, no I haven't, bye-bye.
04:40And he's gone.
04:45At last, George leads them into a large cavern.
04:49And there they see branches growing underground, exclaims Rupert surprised.
04:57It's the upside down tree, says Pong Ping.
05:01Look, there's Bobby.
05:03Bill's glad to see his baby brother, who's having the time of his life.
05:07For Raggedy is swinging him on a branch.
05:11Hello, says Raggedy cheerfully.
05:13I've made a lovely swing for Bobby.
05:16You see, I couldn't give him a swing when the tree was the right way up.
05:19Because the branches were too high, so I turned the tree upside down.
05:23Oh, so that was what Mr Grim Nasty heard, says Rupert.
05:28It wasn't an earthquake after all.
05:31Bobby want more swing, shouts Bobby.
05:34Bobby want more swing.
05:35Bobby will have more swing, but on a proper swing this time, says Rupert firmly.
05:41You can come and play at my house.
05:43Daddy made me a lovely swing.
05:45But please, please turn the tree the right way up.
05:48I'm sure it doesn't like being upside down.
05:50Just at that moment, the tree gives a little groan.
06:00As if agreeing with Rupert.
06:03Oh, all right, says Raggedy, leading the way back through the tunnel towards his home.
06:07What? You again? cries the rabbit. Where are you going? Where are you going?
06:19Come with us and see Raggedy turn the tree the right way up, calls Rupert.
06:23Tree? What tree? asks the rabbit, joining the procession.
06:30They all troop into Mr Grim Nasty's passage, past his open bedroom door.
06:35It wasn't an earthquake. It was a tree turning upside down, Rupert tells him cheerfully.
06:41Oh, says Mr Grim Nasty, a tree turning upside down is an earthquake.
06:52Raggedy, says Bill, stopping suddenly in the middle of the common.
06:56Where's Bobby?
06:58He's with you, has Raggedy surprised.
07:01Isn't he?
07:03Bobby isn't.
07:04Neither is he with Rupert, Pong Ping, George, nor the rabbit.
07:10Here we go again, sighs Pong Ping.
07:14Come on, George. Find Bobby.
07:17But George is tired.
07:19He sits down and refuses to move another step.
07:22I'm afraid I'll have to take him home, says Pong Ping sadly.
07:27He's still very young.
07:29Hello, puffs Poggy running up.
07:34There's the strangest noise coming from over there.
07:37It sounds like someone breaking plates.
07:40But I couldn't see anything at all, he adds puzzled.
07:44Where? asks the rabbit.
07:47Over there, Poggy points.
07:49That's my burrow, my burrow, cries the rabbit alarmed, and he scuttles off.
07:54The others hurry after him.
07:58There is indeed the most awful noise of smashing crockery.
08:03The rabbit dives down one of his many entrances and returns with Bobby.
08:09My burrow looks as if there really has been an earthquake now.
08:14Oh dear, oh dear, I am sorry, says Bill.
08:19Looking after Bobby isn't easy, he adds apologetically.
08:22But the rabbit's gone back inside to clear up the mess.
08:26Come on, let's go home, Rupert suggests.
08:30But hold tight to Bobby.
08:31Bobby and Raggety are soon happily playing on the swing.
08:38And Poggy is happy.
08:40It's just the right time for tea.
08:42But Bill is most upset.
08:45He must have broken nearly all rabbit's plates.
08:47Well, I think I can help, says Mrs. Bear.
08:52Look.
08:54And she opens a cupboard, which is full of plates and cups and saucers.
08:59Wherever did they come from? asks Rupert.
09:03They've been given to me for the village jumble sale, Mrs. Bear explains.
09:06But I'm sure no one will mind if the rabbit has them.
09:10Mrs. Badger and I can bake some cakes instead.
09:13The rabbit is just tipping the last of his broken china into a litter bin on the common as they arrive.
09:19Look, we've got a surprise for you, exclaims Bill, showing the rabbit the basket.
09:26Can I really have them all?
09:29Oh, wizardy whiz, cries Rupert.
09:33We forgot all about the poor tree.
09:35It's still upside down, look.
09:37Oh, the poor thing, says Poggy.
09:40It does look miserable.
09:42It won't be for long, says Raggety, cheerfully waving his arms.
09:45Tree, tree, turn for me. Turn yourself vertically, so your leaves be up and your ropes be down.
09:54And the tree slowly somersorts over, until at last it settles itself the right way up.
10:08I have a little job for you, says Mrs. Bear to Mr. Bear as he settles down with his paper.
10:13I think it would be a good idea if you were to make little Bobby a swing too.
10:19He does enjoy it so.
10:20Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's in his name. Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's come and join.
10:27Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's in his name. Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's come and join. In all of his name. Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's come and join.
10:48Rupert, Rupert, Rupert. Rupert, Rupert de Bell, everyone's come and join. In all of his games. Rupert. Rupert. Rupert.
11:07You
