01:36stole a Jacksonville sheriff's office cruiser and crashed it in the woods off I-10 this was the scene
01:41through sky four you can see a lot of police officers responded to this they're lined up there on the
01:46right news for jack supporter Joe McLean witnessed the crash firsthand and he's joining us live from
01:52JSO headquarters tonight Joe you just happen to be nearby when this stolen police cruiser swerved off
01:57the road that's right Ken yeah my photographer Kevin and I we were just driving down I-10 we saw
02:04this JSO vehicle driving erratically swerving left and right it struck us as odd but then we saw
02:09the vehicle leave the roadway crash into a ditch and we wanted to we stopped our car we wanted to
02:16see if the assumably a JSO officer needed help but we learned it wasn't a JSO officer in the driver's
02:22seat it was a naked man that's when we started rolling video our cameras were rolling just moments
02:30after this JSO vehicle swerved off the road and crashed into a wooded area off I-10 he's so lucky
02:36he didn't just get shot look at the gun inside an unclothed man who appeared to be mentally distressed
02:42we watched as he leapt out of the driver's side window and sprinted towards JSO officers who were
02:48close behind with weapons drawn the man was they thought about it later loaded into an ambulance and
02:53taken to a hospital to be checked out according to a department spokesperson about 15 minutes earlier
02:59and ran towards the officer's vehicle jumping into the driver's seat the officer tried to stop the
03:12naked man received minor injuries and once the car started to pull away the officer had to disengage
03:18or risk getting run over a few miles from there is when we saw the police car swerve off the roadway
03:24and crash speaking as someone who witnessed this all happen i can tell you it was one of the most
