00:01Riff TV presents Meltdown's Meltdown.
00:08Hey guys, Meltdown, thanks so much for checking out the video right here at WRF.com.
00:12We'll be shooting videos from time to time, just kind of filling in on what's going on here at the Riff,
00:16around Detroit Rock City, rock and roll in general.
00:20I thought my first guest should be the brand new Riff Rock Girl, Haley.
00:23So Haley, come on in here.
00:24So far, a month into your reign as Riff Rock Girl, how's things been going?
00:27It's been amazing, I've gotten to meet so many cool people.
00:30I've been all over Detroit.
00:32I really thought you'd be a lot taller, but it's been so much fun.
00:36I'm looking forward to all the concerts I'm going to go to and meeting so many more of you.
00:41You can check out Haley's Rock Girl reports every day at 2 o'clock, 6 o'clock and 8 o'clock as well.
00:46Hey, by the way, we've got this green screen, right?
00:48Haley, look, watch.
00:49You want events all over the Motor City?
00:51Watch this.
00:52We're at Anthrax!
00:53Yeah!
00:54There you go.
00:55Hey, look at this.
00:56We're at Joe Louis Arena.
00:57Oh man, there were some great times at Joe Louis Arena.
01:00Remember the Joe?
01:01Yeah.
01:02Well, look at this.
01:03Here's the LCA.
01:05This is crazy.
01:06Have you been to the LCA yet?
01:07No.
01:08Now you are!
01:09I was honored when they asked me to be the co-captain for this year's Bob Probert Memorial Motorcycle Ride,
01:15along with Scott Parker, former NHL enforcer from the Colorado Avalanche and San Jose Sharks.
01:20The ride leaves Sunday, June 24th from Thunder Road Harley-Davidson at 11 o'clock.
01:25Get there early.
01:26Pre-register at ProberRide.com.
01:28The ride benefits the cardiac wellness programs in the Windsor area.
01:31We will see you there.
01:33If you're looking for some good listening, check out my podcast page.
01:36This week on my Radio Chatter podcast, I had the one and only Sebastian Bach.
01:40He talked about lots of things, including how he's not opposed to rejoining with the guys from Skid Row.
01:46I mean, I'm not against reuniting with Skid Row someday because I think it's a way to give back to the fans who have sent us royalty checks into our 50s and 60s.
01:58I really think it's, I feel guilty.
02:01Like, I'm like, what am I getting this for?
02:04Like, I should reunite with these guys because we get paid for this.
02:10And we haven't seen them in over 20 years.
02:13I haven't been in the same room with them.
02:15Like, it's unbelievable.
02:16Well, you know, you're friends with Axel and stuff.
02:18And you've seen, I mean, the massive tour that those guys, I mean, they're going on two years now.
02:22And that has to, like, kind of get your gears going.
02:24Don't make me smash my head into the wall.
02:26Like, you know, I was at Jerry Cantrell's birthday party and Robert Trujillo was there, the bass player from Metallica.
02:36And he just came up to me and goes, why aren't you guys together?
02:40I go, oh, this and this and this.
02:42And he looks at me like, he goes, you know, people would really dig that, right?
02:46I go, yeah, I know.
02:48And he goes, why don't you just text them something nice?
02:52This is from Metallica, right?
02:55And I go, dude, I've tried that.
02:57It doesn't work.
02:58It doesn't do anything.
02:59And he goes, Sebastian, just text them something nice.
03:03Just do it.
03:06He goes, of course it's going to work.
03:08So I went home and I go, okay, Metallica is telling me to do this.
03:14I should take Metallica's advice.
03:17Okay, I'm going to do it again.
03:19So I text them, I go, oh, the whole band.
03:22I go, hey guys, you know, it's coming up January of 2019 is the 30th anniversary of the Skid Row record coming out.
03:35Geez.
03:36I think we should maybe put out a re-release with bonus material and video, oh, say can you scream, Blu-ray and posters and passes and everything that Rush puts out that I go buy and everything that every other band puts out, Allman Brothers.
03:55And I go, I collect this stuff.
03:58I go, let's do a 30th anniversary.
04:01Hope you all are well.
04:03Look forward to hearing you.
04:04And I sent that and I got no response.
04:07Geez, really?
04:08I'm not making this up.
04:10Are you sure you had the right numbers?
04:12Five guys.
04:14No, nothing.
04:16Like, okay.
04:17Wow.
04:18I guess that's a dumb idea.
04:20Like, what, what, I don't know what to do.
04:23Like, you know, you can interview them and say, hey, you guys, it's the 30th anniversary of the first album.
04:31You know, the fans would probably dig like a deluxe package, but stupid old me, what do I know?
04:39Thanks so much for watching and thanks so much for listening to WRIF.
04:42Check back periodically as we'll be throwing on some new videos weekly.
