00:00It's hard to understand what's left of Hamas, given, you know, the fact that this has been carrying on for 18 months.
00:09And, you know, how are they managing to rearm, for instance?
00:13Well, one of the things that they did is they prepared themselves for almost 20 years.
00:18Israel left the Gaza Strip in 2005. That's 20 years ago.
00:22I have been talking about the subterranean arena as a colonel, as somebody who speaks on behalf of Israel for dozens of years.
00:30So when you say what's left, they built this long term.
00:34They built that underground arena, Tom, not to defend the people of the Gaza Strip, not to help the Palestinians,
00:40but to protect themselves, to have the hostages there as collateral damage within it for themselves or more protection.
00:48So they have lots left. When I say lots, you see that they still can fire rockets.
00:54If before this they said they had 15,000 rockets and they have fired 12,000 rockets or so,
01:00that means they still have some thousand that they hide deep underground, bring them out to fire at Israel,
01:06because what they want to show is that they still exist, that they're still doing resistance.
01:11And at the end, it's on the back of all of us.
01:13It's horrific what it's done for the Palestinians to the Gaza Strip, that we did that, and I'm very aware that we did that.
01:20It is Hamas that built themselves to do so, and they still have capabilities, especially that subterranean arena.
01:26It gives them the capability to move around the Gaza Strip underground.
