Could Cincinnati Bengals Take Colston Loveland With 17th Overall Pick in 2025 NFL Draft
Transcript
00:00But what if the top targets aren't there?
00:03What if they don't feel as great about Malachi Starks as we expect?
00:07And they're really not into any of these corners.
00:11And James Pierce Jr. is really a round two, not round one guy.
00:15And maybe they don't feel super comfortable with Walter Nolan.
00:18Or maybe Walter Nolan's off the board.
00:20And you're looking at it, and Kelvin Banks Jr. is off the board.
00:24And the best player available is Colston Loveland.
00:30And it's between Colston Loveland and Tyler Booker and a few other guys.
00:36I would tell the Bengals to take Colston Loveland.
00:41And I think that's a wild take for a lot of you.
00:44And for those wondering, that's the Michigan Wolverines' tight end, Colston Loveland.
00:51And people are instantly going to say, by the way, Tyler Warren is in this group as well.
00:56Are instantly going to hear me say that, or watch me say that, and say, this is stupid, tight end, dismiss it.
01:02And that's fine.
01:03You can do that for sure.
01:05But I look at Joel Klatt's rankings, who covers college football as close as anyone.
01:11He had Tyler Warren five, Colston Loveland four.
01:14If Loveland is there, there's a real scenario where he is the Bengals' best player available.
01:20Where he is a guy that the Bengals look at and say, you know what?
01:23This is going to make our passing game elite.
01:26Not good.
01:27Elite.
01:28And I know that's not something that a lot of you want to hear.
01:32A lot of people think that the Bengals' offense was elite last year.
01:35But there is something that could be said about making a strength that much stronger, making an offense that is going to be pass first that much more dynamic, that much harder to stop.
