00:00So, it's really important that both husbands and wives,
00:03they try to appreciate what the other is doing
00:06and not take it for granted.
00:07Husbands, if your wife is the one that is regularly cooking,
00:11every once in a while just say,
00:12you know what, you're cooking,
00:13I see you, mashallah, every day.
00:15Today, let's go out.
00:16Or even more than this, cook yourself.
00:19Point is, there should be give and take.
00:20That whatever is the default, right?
00:22Suppose, you know, the husband typically does one chore,
00:25whether it's the garbage taking,
00:26whatever, once in a while,
00:27let the wife take charge and say,
00:28I appreciate what you're doing.
00:29Our wives, really, they do the bulk and the brunt of the household chores.
00:34And it is human nature,
00:35after a while, they begin to feel cheapened.
00:38They begin to feel like,
00:39you're just treating me like a servant.
00:41All I do is I cook and I clean and I do this.
00:42And it's human nature.
00:44We would feel the same.
00:45And we know this when our wives leave for a week or two,
00:48and we see how much work they have to do.
00:50We are so grateful when they come back, right?
00:52When we have to take charge for that two, three days,
00:55it looks like two, three years, okay?
00:57When that bowl doesn't magically disappear,
00:59and it's still there when we come back.
01:01Why did it go away?
01:02We just expect it to disappear magically, right?
01:05When the food isn't automatically put in front of us,
01:07it just comes from heaven.
01:08We actually have to cook.
01:09Then we realize how much our women do.
