00:00The first driver to come in and win a feature race at the first attempt since Lando Norris in 2018 did it with the same team and was also a McLaren Junior just like Lando Norris did at Bahrain as well.
00:16The grid is set. We are into the countdown. We do have a little bit of a delayed start. The formation lap will start at 19 minutes past six. So that is in just over three minutes time. Bruno Michel has seen many a good race around here, celebrated 200 races for this championship, which has seen many drivers go on all the way to the top tier.
00:42And we are staring at many more that could do so. Ten that are supported by Formula One teams. There is one of them, the number four car, Arvid Lindblad, the youngest point scorer in Formula Two. Let's see what he can do.
00:59Well, apologies to those of you experiencing any sound issues, any technical problems. But a warm welcome to you wherever you are watching from. This is round three of the Formula Two championship.
01:13This is our sprint race. We have 20 laps coming up today. We have reversed the top ten, how they qualified yesterday for this race. That means Richard Vashor will start on pole position alongside Gabriele Mini.
01:27It was due to be Roman Stanek starting on pole position, but he has taken a three place grid drop for impeding Alex Dunn. Richard Vashor could now go and take the chequered flag first for a second time in a row in a sprint race.
01:41He did pick up a post race penalty for a technical nonconformity here last year. Let's see if he can go and win once again here at Saudi Arabia.
01:50This is round three of the championship. We celebrated 200 races in Formula Two just a few days ago, making history by crowning Alex Dunn, the first Irish driver to win in Formula Two.
02:02Will we celebrate even more history today? Can we put another new driver onto the top step of the podium?
02:09Gabriele Mini will be certainly hoping he can do that. Likewise, Arvid Lindblad, who starts on the third row.
02:15Point-wise, we hand points to the top eight in this race. Ten points going to your winner and then one point to eighth.
02:21Leonardo Fornaroli is our championship leader. He's the reigning Formula Three champion. You just saw him in view.
02:27He is one of two drivers who has been on the podium twice so far. He's on 26 points. Alex Dunn on 25. Luke Browning on 25.
02:36Pepe Marti on 23. Richard Vashor is then on 21 points.
02:40Richard Vashor took the championship lead in the sprint race at Bahrain last week. Let's see if he can go and do so again today.
02:48If he wins this sprint race, he will put himself in a good position to do that.
02:53The grid is almost set. It'll be 20 laps of racing, 45 minutes plus a lap if that comes first.
03:00There are two compounds of tyre in Formula Two if you are new to the championship.
03:04We have this yellow sidewall medium tyre and then the purple sidewall super soft tyre.
03:10In this race, the sprint race, there is no compulsory pit stop.
03:14So we are likely to see most of the drivers use this medium yellow sidewall tyre throughout the duration of this race.
03:22And then tomorrow we have the longer feature race that is coming up.
03:26That'll be 28 laps in total where they are required to make a compulsory pit stop and use both compound of tyre.
03:35However, however, if you weren't with us last week in the sprint race at Bahrain when the safety car came out,
03:43when Max Esterson came to a stop at Turn 11, we saw drivers coming into the pits with five laps to go,
03:50putting on the quicker compound of tyre and only Gertha went round the outside of two drivers at Turn 12.
03:56Yes, he did. If you don't believe me, go back and watch the replays and see it from yourself.
04:00He set the fastest lap and he came through from outside of the top ten to finish fourth and set the fastest lap in the process.
04:07So there could very well be pit stops in this race.
04:11There could be drivers coming from outside the top ten, taking fastest lap and scoring points.
04:16It's never over until it's over.
04:18This is a very unpredictable championship.
04:21We have had three different drivers take pole position in as many rounds so far.
04:27We have had plenty of different drivers on the podium already.
04:30It is a very difficult championship to call.
04:33My name's Chris McCarthy. A pleasure to have your company.
04:36Alex Trundle will be with us throughout the race as well.
04:40Here we can see the drivers now on the formation lap.
04:43This is their chance to get the tyres up to speed.
04:47After one lap is complete, they will have the use of DRS.
04:51There are three DRS zones around this circuit.
04:54We're coming up to the first one of them on the exit of Turn 17.
04:59That is when we will see the DRS detection zone one and through turns 19 to 22.
05:08That's when we will see DRS in use for the first time through turn 19 to turn 22 on lap two of the race.
05:16Then through turns 24 to turn 27 for the second time.
05:20And then down through turn 27 to turn one for the third time on lap two.
05:26If you're within one second of the driver ahead, you can use...
05:30Richard Vashore used that to take the checkered flag first.
05:53Here last year, made the move on Paul Aron on lap eight of the race going into turn one.
06:08There he is.
06:09Can he go and take that checkered flag first?
06:11Once again, he'll have Gabriele Mini trying to stop him.
06:15Pepe Marti will be flying with confidence after taking that win from 11th on the grid last time.
06:22Roman Static have that three-place grid drop.
06:25He is on row two.
06:27And then we've got the Flying Irishman.
06:29Alex Dunn on row three.
06:31Arvid Lindblad alongside him as well.
06:33Watch for Luke Browning as well.
06:34Two podiums for him.
06:36He is only one of two drivers to do that so far.
06:39He is in fine form.
06:41The Williams Academy driver, Leo Fornaroli next along, and then it's Victor Martins and Jack Crawford on row five on the grid.
06:49They're making their way up towards us now.
06:51Round three of the championship this is.
06:54This is our sprint race, the lowest scoring race.
06:57Ten points go to your winner and then one point to the driver in eighth position.
07:03We do give a point to the driver with the fastest lap if they are in the top ten positions.
07:09It looks like we are almost set and ready to go towards the back.
07:14John Bennett lost his fastest lap in qualifying due to the fact he did bring out the red flag after an incident when he crashed coming out of turn 13.
07:26That meant that he would lose his fastest lap and thus he was brought to the back of the field.
07:33Well, nerves rising on the grid.
07:38Everyone now getting themselves into position.
07:42We are almost ready to go racing here at Jeddah for the sprint race.
07:47There is the green flag at the back of the field to the right of screen.
07:52Gabriele Mini to the left.
07:55Your pole sitter Richard Bishaw and we are go for the sprint race here at Jeddah.
08:00Bishaw leading us down towards the first corner.
08:03Great start there for Pepe Marti and he's going to go around the outside of Gabriele Mini and a change for P2 straight away.
08:10Pepe Marti into second.
08:11It looked like a spinner at the back of the field but a change for second straight away.
08:16Marti going into second and almost a lock up there.
08:20That was the seven of Browning trying to go down the inside of Dunn as they make their way through the first section.
08:26The two Williams Academy cars there of Martins and Browning side by side in the yellow Invicta.
08:32That is Leo Forneroli in the middle of that as well as they make their way through out of the first sector.
08:38Great racing to kick ourselves off here on the first lap.
08:42It is for sure.
08:43Leading Marty, leading Mini.
08:45Limblad is in fourth.
08:46Then Stanek is next along ahead of Dunn.
08:49Forneroli, Martins, Browning and Jack Horford next as they head through the second sector here on the first lap.
08:58They're just settling in now.
08:59Don't forget DRS opens on the second lap of racing.
09:04Oh well we said there was a spinner at the back of the field.
09:07It is the number 21 who has spun unfortunately and that is Kian Shields who has gone.
09:14So Kian Shields is round at the back of the field.
09:18We may see a stoppage in the race given where Kian Shields was but for now they are all the way racing.
09:25I hear that his car is being pushed away so we may stay racing for now.
09:32Richard for sure certainly is leading us.
09:34Down towards turn 27 in the background in the Red Bull livery.
09:38Arvid Limblad going side by side there with Gabriele Mini.
09:41These two have raced each other plenty of times before.
09:44And there we can see Kian Shields being pushed away.
09:48Double yellow flag so as they come down towards the first corner.
09:53Richard for sure there is going to bring the speed down towards the first corner.
09:59And a double yellow flag there as the field is now brought down to a slow pace.
10:07And Alex Brundle we can get your thoughts as you are watching on for that first lap.
10:13Absolutely so hello everybody.
10:15Second lap of the Formula 2 sprint race and what a start we had.
10:19We do have a car off in the runoff area.
10:21It is Kian Shields that has brought out this double waved yellow flag.
10:27and the virtual safety car has been deployed.
10:30Drivers limited in their speed by this virtual safety car.
10:33But they do not form up behind the course vehicle.
10:36Let's have a look at that start again.
10:37Richard for sure getting away well from the left hand side of your screen.
10:41Drivers right and it was actually Gabriele Mini who was under pressure down towards turn one.
10:46Pepe Marti in the Red Bull liveried machine making his way around the outside.
10:49And there you can see the incident for Shields.
10:51They tried to push him clear onto the runoff area but still needing a recovery for that car.
10:59There's a look at it again.
11:00It's Roman Stanek in the yellow Invicta who is trying to make his way through.
11:04Decent start for him and carbon fibre all over the road down towards turn one.
11:09An eventful start Chris.
11:11It really was Kian Shields sadly his race coming to an early stop.
11:15Here we look back at it again.
11:16Great move around the outside there for Pepe Marti.
11:19It really was.
11:20You can see Shields resting up against the barrier in the background.
11:25And he'll have another go tomorrow from 21st on the grid where he started this one.
11:33Shame for Shields.
11:34In what's not been the strongest weekend for him so far.
11:37Virtual safety car still deployed.
11:39It does not delay the application of the DRS to this 20 lap sprint race.
11:45Most if not all, in fact all, drivers on the medium compound tyre.
11:49It's a relatively low degradation circuit.
11:51So we're looking at a flat out race to the finish here.
11:54And a decent amount of points available for those towards the front.
11:59There certainly is.
12:00Richard Vachior made a good start out front.
12:03We've had Pepe Marti take second place away for a minute.
12:08Limblad has gone from P6 to P4.
12:11So the two Red Bull Juniors, the cars on the attack straight away.
12:15Stanek in the yellow in Victor is there in P5.
12:18Done next.
12:18And then the last of the point scorers so far for Neroli and Martins MP just watching on there.
12:25Their driver, Vachior, currently leading the way so far.
12:28But Marti, he drove a great sprint race last time, showing very good overtaking, Alex.
12:34And he'll want to get on the move straight away.
12:36Absolutely so, Marti, third on the grid in this reverse grid race.
12:40As you correctly said at the top of the broadcast, Chris, top ten reversed in this one before we go racing in grid order.
12:47Tomorrow for the feature race with the mandatory pit stops and everything that goes with it.
12:51Teams need to be right in touch with their drivers, though, here.
12:55Because with the field so tightly packed, getting it absolutely right on the restart is going to be worth positions.
13:01And especially with Marti in a fighting kind of mood, Formula 2's most experienced driver is going to have to be fast on the button.
13:08And this is where we can see changes as well, Alex.
13:11When VSC is ending, you've got to be on it here with the field so tightly packed.
13:14So this is where it is key.
13:16VSC is ending.
13:18There is green flag.
13:19You cannot get caught out by this.
13:21And Richard Vachior looks like he was quick to get his foot down on the accelerator.
13:25We are back green here at Jeddah in Formula 2 in the sprint race.
13:29Look at the battle for third place already.
13:31Arvid Lindblad was quick to respond and he's on the attack ahead of Gabrieli Mini.
13:37Lindblad versus Mini in towards turn 22.
13:41Mini, likewise, though, as we're into a DRS zone, is right behind Pepe Marti.
13:46So we've got a three-way battle going on.
13:48The flaps are open and Lindblad has found a gap on the inside of Gabrieli Mini.
13:53The young Campos racing driver goes down the inside into turn 27.
13:58And that's a change for third place, Alex.
14:00DRS immediately available as a result of that being a virtual safety car.
14:04The lap had passed.
14:05And so the flaps are open and Mini fancies it go down the outside back at Lindblad as they head down towards turn one.
14:11And he's got the toe from Pepe Marti as well, who's trying to get the toe from Vachior.
14:15And he's trying to get the lead from Vachior.
14:17Round the outside, Pepe Marti, wheel to wheel with Richard Vachior.
14:21And a change for the lead.
14:23Great driving from Pepe Marti.
14:24He hits the front of the sprint race.
14:26Mini across the runoff area in two.
14:28Forced to cede the position.
14:30And now he's going to be under pressure from the man who took a penalty into this race.
14:33And he'll take a penalty into the race tomorrow.
14:35Roman Stanek needs to make moves here.
14:38You've also got Leonardo Fornaroldi look.
14:40Formula 2 championship leader.
14:42Formula 3 champion.
14:43City in seventh place in the points at the moment.
14:46Trying to gather the absolute maximum that he can from this race.
14:49A couple of positions behind.
14:50Arvid Lindblad, great driving from him into P3.
14:54And as you correctly said, the Invictus looking good as well.
14:57Roman Stanek is there in P5.
15:00And then we've got Alex Dunn as well.
15:02The two Williams Academy cars right together in P8 and P9.
15:07The ART, Victor Martins, and then Browning in P9 squabbling over the last point available.
15:13Let's look back at this move, Alex.
15:14Marty around the outside of Vershaw, not quite able to get all the way around in the first part of the chicane.
15:23You can see the move in the background as well with Mini having to take to the runoff area.
15:27Then in the second part, Marty manages to shovel Vershaw a little bit wider.
15:33But, yeah, let's have a look at that move.
15:36Gabriele Mini taking to the runoff area.
15:38Trying to cling on to the position from Arvid Lindblad.
15:42And he's forced to lift out of the throttle and keep hold of it.
15:45And it's put him under pressure from Roman Stanek.
15:49Lindblad getting his elbows out there on Mini.
15:52And Mini having to take evasive action.
15:54And it's put him under pressure, under threat here.
15:57Roman Stanek in DRS.
15:59Are we going to see a change for the lead once more, Vershaw wants his lead back from Pepe Marti.
16:04Is he going to pay that move back to him around the outside?
16:07Yes, he is.
16:08Pepe Marti trying to hold strong.
16:09But, Vershaw, aggressive in his approach.
16:12And he takes the lead back from Pepe Marti once more.
16:15You've got one of those?
16:16Well, I've got one of them in me too, says Richard Vershaw.
16:18Snatches the position back.
16:20He was within the DRS.
16:21And critically now has given Marti the attentions of his teammate, Arvid Lindblad.
16:25He's having a storming weekend in the Campos.
16:28Great driving from Vershaw.
16:30And now it's going to be Campos on Campos.
16:33Marti versus Lindblad.
16:35The experience of Marti versus Lindblad, who's come into this championship from Formula 3.
16:42Mini is next in queue.
16:44Stanek next.
16:44And then we've got the new feature race winner of Dunn lining up.
16:48He's yet to make his move in this race.
16:50Here's a replay of that move.
16:51Vershaw, scoops it around the outside.
16:53And has to be a little bit more robust than Marti was in the other direction.
16:57Lumpy curve out there on the outside of Turn 2.
17:01And Lindblad actually doing well in invasive action there through the exit of Turn 2 to keep out of the side of his teammate.
17:07And look to the left-hand side of the screen.
17:09Vershaw, with that move, how well he executed it.
17:12He's almost broken DRS.
17:14It's eight-tenths of a second.
17:16Marti using DRS through the first zone has just closed the gap back down to seven-tenths of a second.
17:21But Vershaw made such a good move that he's almost broken DRS.
17:26We pick up Leo Fauneroli in P7.
17:29And they're all right together here as we come back down to Turn 27.
17:33It's a game of survival here, Chris, through those first 20 corners of the lap.
17:37Yep, I said it.
17:3820 corners before they ever see a DRS zone.
17:41So if you can stay with the driver ahead of you,
17:44then you just get into the DRS again through three long straights.
17:48And you're able to stay close and potentially make a move.
17:51If you fall out in the dirty air, then it's going to be you who's under pressure down to one.
17:56Jack Crawford just poking out there.
17:58He is trying to line up Victor Martins.
18:01He will start from pole position tomorrow.
18:04And as you mentioned, Alex, we're into those 20 corners now.
18:06We've had a quarter of the way through before we're going to hit the DRS.
18:10Crawford has had a steady start to this race.
18:13He knows there's big points available for him tomorrow.
18:16We go to Grand Prix-style points tomorrow so he can go for full 25 tomorrow.
18:21We're looking for a clean race today.
18:23But there's big opportunity available today.
18:25For sure, just clearing the DRS there on lap six.
18:28Most drivers got around 17 or 18 laps in in practice on this exact same specification of tyre.
18:33They're about 1.5 seconds slower at the end of practice than they were at the beginning.
18:39Although some drivers with the fuel load coming down still managing to improve sectors and laps.
18:44So it's not a high degradation circuit here.
18:48There's low energy through the tarmac.
18:50It's all about driver error and making it work lap on lap.
18:54Putting those sectors together.
18:56And now it looks like Vershaw's done it when it matters.
18:59Another purple first sector for the Dutch one.
19:01And a purple middle to go with it.
19:03Quickly ousted by Lindblad.
19:04Yeah, Lindblad is setting good sectors.
19:07Some drivers may be just thinking long term here.
19:11As you mentioned there, Alex, there's a long way to go in this race.
19:15And battling is not going to do those tyres any good.
19:18Crawford looks like a move is coming very soon from him.
19:22Wait for it.
19:22There we go.
19:23And that's a sign that Crawford is becoming slightly impatient in that ninth place.
19:27As he just looked down the inside there of Victor Martins.
19:32Down the start finish straight we go.
19:35And Crawford right behind Victor Martins.
19:39As a DRS usage on lap one has been noted.
19:42That message coming through from race control.
19:44Normally DRS usage would be blocked by the system.
19:50So interesting to see that one play out.
19:53I would have thought that we'll be till after the race before we get a true feeling on that one.
19:58Vershaw's managed to clear away, hasn't he, from Marti.
20:02And now the battle between the two Red Bull juniors behind him.
20:07There the gap, as you can see it live, as they rest up against that outside kerb in turn 10 and 11.
20:13And then snake their way again through the first sector.
20:16You mentioned Jack Crawford.
20:17It's been a much stronger weekend, this, for Damns.
20:19After a really difficult start to the year where neither driver yet has failed to score in the championship.
20:25But they must look much stronger in terms of both qualifying and race pace here in Jeddah.
20:30Yeah, they really are.
20:31They're using the experience of their drivers.
20:34It's the last time that the experienced drivers will get to use that advantage over the rookie drivers
20:40before we get into our European leg of the season now,
20:45where their Formula 3 graduates will have raced before on their route to Formula 2.
20:51Round towards turn 22.
20:53And we watch Jack Crawford now chasing down Victor Martins,
20:59who's right behind Leo Fornaroli as well.
21:01He's piling the pressure on Fornaroli.
21:02These guys breaking clear of Browning.
21:06And the battle for second is intensifying here.
21:09Likewise, the battle for P4.
21:11Mini no longer in DRS of Arvid Lindblad.
21:14Looks vulnerable here in fourth place, Alex.
21:16Yeah, Mini's going to be the driver under pressure as the DRS opens for the Invicta behind Stanek.
21:23Having a look at Mini and the two red ball drivers duelling.
21:26They are into turn one and Stanek trying to get down the inside of Mini as well.
21:31Pepe Marti defending.
21:33Mini defending as well.
21:34Out of turn two.
21:36We track this battle.
21:37You've got the pink Alpine livery of Mini.
21:39The yellow Invicta of Stanek and then the Papaya of Dunn coming through turn four.
21:44How long can Mini hold off the challenges of Stanek and Dunn?
21:48When will Dunn make his first move on this fight?
21:51He's just fallen away there, hasn't he?
21:53Gabriele from the back of Lindblad.
21:54Marti and he battling.
21:56It looks like Lindblad's made the move.
21:58Is that a wide moment then for Marti?
22:00It was.
22:01Pepe Marti had gone wide there and that means Lindblad has inherited second place.
22:06It's dropped Pepe Marti into the clutches of Gabriele Mini.
22:11So we have a change for P2.
22:13Arvid Lindblad released into second place and he's got a buffer over Pepe Marti of 1.2 seconds.
22:21So change for P2.
22:23Arvid Lindblad can now focus on trying to close that gap down on Richard Vichel.
22:27And Gabriele Mini will be thinking, thank you very much.
22:30I'll have that DRS to keep me out of trouble from Roman Stanek behind.
22:34Let's have a look at it then.
22:35I'm imagining this is going to be the moment for Marti.
22:38He's gone a long way off there.
22:40So earlier on, I would have thought that is in the middle of turns 8 and 9.
22:44He may well have lost the rear.
22:46It's not flat out in a Formula 2 car.
22:49It is a relatively generous lift there and they're balancing the cars all the way through.
22:54So interesting stuff.
22:56Marti losing that position.
22:57Look at this now and he's gone wide again.
22:59Pepe Marti wide again and that's allowed Gabriele Mini through into third place.
23:05Pepe Marti suffering out there on this lap.
23:08He's lost two places.
23:09He's now off the podium but a chance to use DRS to fight back.
23:13He goes straight back into third and now Mini trying to get back down the inside
23:17but he's going to lose a place.
23:18Roman Stanek fighting with Mini who cuts the corner and now keeps the position.
23:23Roman Stanek left in fifth place.
23:25It's all going off out there.
23:27Pepe Marti is in third place for now but this battle is going to continue.
23:32Oh, Mini dicing with a penalty there, I think.
23:36It'll be interesting to see if the team get over the radio to him
23:39and ask him to give that position back.
23:42They look relatively alongside as they went down towards the apex of turn one.
23:46Interesting to see what they now choose to do.
23:47Roman Stanek within his rights, of course, to be there.
23:52And Gabriele Mini going to be under pressure.
23:53Is it going to be moot because Stanek looking like he's got the nose underneath Mini
23:58as they make their way down through turn 13?
24:01Mini was noted earlier in the race for forcing another driver off in Limblad at turn one.
24:07So, has to be careful.
24:08Let's watch it back, Alex.
24:09Yeah, let's have a look at it again.
24:11You've got Mini under pressure from Marti behind.
24:14He was strangely wide in the final corner.
24:16Now, let's take a look.
24:18For me, Stanek is alongside there and has claimed that corner.
24:23So, I think Mini will either have to give that one back or the stewards may well look at it.
24:28Yeah, I agree.
24:29Mini has gone wide.
24:30Here's an onboard view.
24:32Yeah, Marti takes the DRS.
24:35I wonder if he...
24:37We've seen so many DRS games there in the final corner over the years.
24:42And I wonder if he knows that the DRS down the front straight is powerful enough.
24:45Stanek to the inside of Mini, though, once more.
24:47Stanek makes his move on Mini.
24:49That's been a long time coming.
24:51But as you said, DRS games, Mini now has the advantage.
24:56Down the start finish straight.
24:57No flap open for Stanek.
24:58But here comes Mini.
25:00And he's going to go by.
25:01But Dunn to the far right-hand side of screen will take the inside line on Stanek.
25:06And the inside line on Mini.
25:08Almost contact between the pair.
25:10And it's a familiar sight.
25:12Mini goes wide.
25:13Dunn is going to take the place.
25:15And now Dunn will get down the inside and take people.
25:19Yeah, Mini having to get out of that one.
25:21And it's exactly as we surmise, isn't it?
25:22That was such a clear let-through on the apex of the final corner.
25:26Because they all know that the front straight DRS is strong enough
25:31that you can power back through on your way down to T1.
25:35Alex Dunn, great move from him.
25:37Three wide into the first corner.
25:40You wouldn't think that he's just come up from Formula 3,
25:43getting his elbows out.
25:44Mini likewise.
25:45But Alex Dunn is settling into Formula 2 very quickly
25:48and showing the confidence of a Fischer race winner.
25:51He entered a couple of races at the end of last year.
25:54Gabriele Mini, but this is his first full season
25:57for the Alpine Academy driver in the Formula 2 championship.
26:02Ever a frontrunner.
26:03Brilliant through last year's Formula 3 season.
26:06Took to a Formula 2 car brilliantly as well.
26:08In a couple of races he did do.
26:10We're seeing some great racing from him.
26:12But he looks to be the driver under pressure.
26:13The Invicta with the DRS once more.
26:16Thinking better of it down towards turn 22
26:18because he knows he's got a lot of drag reduction
26:21and a lot of big braking zones to get the move done.
26:24Gabriele Mini is just starting to struggle out there, isn't he?
26:27Roman Stanek is right there.
26:29Then we've got Leo Fornaroli.
26:31And then we've got Jack Crawford in P8.
26:35This is not over for Mini
26:37because they are starting to queue up behind.
26:40Here we go down the start finish straight once more.
26:42Roman Stanek.
26:43Is he going to make another attempt of a move to get by?
26:47Gabriele Mini.
26:48Mini just holding on to DRS on Alex Dunn.
26:51On to lap 11 of 20.
26:53Stanek closing in but not quite close enough that time.
26:57Just peeking out in the background was the 7 of Browning.
27:00The two Williams Academy cars.
27:02Let's watch back a little bit further.
27:04This was the move we saw Alex Dunn make.
27:07Yeah, Mini there.
27:09Catching Dunn out slightly, I think, by darting out.
27:12Sometimes you focus so much on the driver ahead of you
27:15that actually you forget that you're in a pack of drivers
27:19potentially attacking you from behind.
27:22But everybody got through there just fine
27:24and Dunn eventually taking the position, coming out ahead.
27:29Incident in turn two involving Mini and Stanek leaving the track
27:32and gaining an advantage where Mini retains the position
27:35is going to be noted so far.
27:39Second phase is under investigation
27:40and then they'll decide if there's any penalty to be given.
27:44We'll keep an eye on that one.
27:46Now, just while we've been watching all of this,
27:49Lindblad has been setting purple sectors
27:51and the gap is just starting to come down.
27:54It's 1.7 seconds.
27:56However, Veshoor is responding on this lap.
27:59He's done a purple first sector.
28:01We'll keep an eye on it,
28:02but look to the left-hand side of the screen.
28:04In 1.6 seconds, there is a great head-to-head going on out front.
28:08If Lindblad can get within one second,
28:11we could see a fight going on,
28:12but we're seeing a great fight here
28:14in terms of the lower scoring points in this race.
28:18and this is the continuing battle
28:21between Stanek and Gabriele Mini into the final corner.
28:25Lindblad did a really good lap last time around.
28:27Took a couple of tenths out of Veshoor, as you say,
28:30but Veshoor has been able to respond this time around
28:34slightly quicker from him.
28:35Only actually bled four tenths again to Arvid Lindblad.
28:39So that gap coming down.
28:41And into turn one.
28:43That is Roman Stanek down the inside
28:46and Gabriele Mini going right.
28:48Roman Stanek, though, will claim the position.
28:51Good move from Stanek.
28:53Went down the inside of Gabriele Mini
28:55and he is going to go through into fifth position.
28:58Yeah, it was a matter of time, wasn't it?
29:00Mini fought valiantly.
29:01The problem he's got is he's got to pack
29:03all the way down to 12th within DRS range now.
29:07So if Stanek manages to get away,
29:09it's actually important lap for Mini
29:10not to get shuffled too much
29:12and try and cling on, lasso the airbox,
29:16if he can, of Roman Stanek
29:17and stay in the action.
29:19Otherwise, he's going to be under pressure
29:20from all of the drivers in the queue behind.
29:23Confirmation of Arvid Lindblad
29:24doing the fastest lap last time.
29:26Four tenths quicker, as Alex said,
29:28but Veshoor is responding on this lap
29:31and he's just done the fastest first sector.
29:33Great shot this.
29:34You can see how close they have to go
29:37to push the limits and get those fastest sectors.
29:41We are watching back now Leo Fornaroli
29:43who will be next to try and pass Gabriele Mini,
29:48the two that fought for the form
29:49with a three title all the way
29:50into the final corner of the final lap last season.
29:54Jack Crawford right there behind as well.
29:58Crawford, fifth in the championship last year,
30:00stays with dams through into this year.
30:03The American driver connected to the Aston Martin Academy,
30:08trying to make progress through the field.
30:10Got a Formula 3 champion in front of him
30:12and the points leader of the series at the moment
30:14by a princely point from several drivers behind them,
30:18one of which is a little bit further up the road.
30:20You've got a great championship battle
30:21shaping up in Formula 2
30:23and a great battle then down towards Turn 1, Chris.
30:26And Mini looks like he's going to fight back on Stanek.
30:28Crawford's going to make his move on Fornaroli.
30:30Two by two they go into Turn 1.
30:33Mini around the outside of Stanek,
30:35but going wide through Turn 2.
30:38Stanek will hold on to P5.
30:40Fornaroli holds on to P7.
30:42Several of them legitimate avoidances,
30:44but Gabriele Mini is rather frequenting the run-off area,
30:48isn't he, in Turn 2?
30:50Do you come here often?
30:51Well, that's what the marshals are going to be saying
30:53on the Exeter 3.
30:54It's becoming a regular occurrence, isn't it?
30:57Gabriele Mini going round the outside
30:59and wide at Turn 2.
31:03Down towards Turn 13 we go.
31:07This into the hairpin.
31:09He has been noted for that on a couple of occasions.
31:14Gabriele Mini got to be careful in this race.
31:17OK.
31:18This is the replay of what we just saw.
31:22Yeah.
31:22Simultaneous overtaking.
31:24I'm not on two Invictus.
31:27And neither of them came off.
31:28So, both Invictus trying to defend their position.
31:32Gabriele Mini trying to make it around the outside.
31:37Doesn't quite do so.
31:38Shoveled to the kerb by Roman Stanek,
31:41who maintains the position.
31:44I mean, I guess Gabriele Mini will argue
31:47that he had nowhere to go,
31:48but at that point, do you just back off from the move?
31:52Yeah, you can't keep the position.
31:53Can't keep the position off the road.
31:55And that is the issue
31:56with trying to get the move done
31:58around the outside of a chicane like that.
32:00The rules specifically say
32:02that if you're tyre to tyre,
32:04meaning being front tyre to front tyre
32:06with the car that you're trying to overtake,
32:08you are able to maintain
32:10your gap around the outside
32:12and deserve space around the outside.
32:15And so that's where you've got to get to
32:16if you're the driver trying to snatch
32:18the second apex of a two-part complex like that.
32:21It's the more popular move there, isn't it?
32:23It's not the conventional down the inside pass.
32:25It's a complex of corners
32:28where drivers prefer to go around the outside
32:31at turn one
32:32and then into the inside at turn two.
32:34Checking in with Prema,
32:35watching their man fight for all he's worth.
32:38Two cars in the race for them.
32:39Sebastian Montoya sitting in 15th place
32:42at the moment,
32:43enjoying this layout,
32:44but sitting outside the points
32:46along with many of the other rookies,
32:48tough place to come to
32:50as a Formula 2 driver
32:52in their first campaign.
32:55Many, many drivers in the field.
32:57I think you said 12 to me
32:58before the broadcast, Chris.
33:00Never done laps around this circuit
33:03before they arrived.
33:04All 27 corners of it,
33:06albeit some of those
33:07are requiring more things than others.
33:10because a lot of it is flat-out drive-through stuff,
33:12but the ones that require a brake
33:14and a turn in the steering wheel
33:16sure catch your attention
33:17with walls lining the racetrack
33:19on the world's fastest street circuit.
33:22And a driver who took pole position here last year
33:25before he was off to race in Formula 1.
33:29Oli Behrman did that for Prema Racing
33:31who had taken pole twice here.
33:34They've done it with two F1 drivers
33:36in Oscar Piastri and Oli Behrman.
33:39And Oli Behrman watching on
33:41from the pit wall.
33:43Are we watching?
33:45Another F1 driver in the making.
33:49It's a championship
33:50which has many F1 drivers come through it.
33:53These are the stars of the future.
33:55They're going wheel-to-wheel
33:57round the streets of Jeddah.
33:58Formula 3 champion,
34:00Leo Fornaroli
34:01with Aston Martins,
34:03Jack Crawford side-by-side with him
34:04down the start-finish straight
34:06and Crawford will take the position
34:08into Turn 1.
34:09Meanwhile,
34:10Gabriele Mini
34:10trying a different approach this time,
34:12trying to get the cutback
34:13out of Turn 2 there
34:15on Roman Stanek
34:16and they are going to be
34:18nose to tail into Turn 4, Alex.
34:19That's really battle this.
34:21Mini finding his own a little bit more.
34:23As soon as he got back in
34:24to the DRS train,
34:25he did exactly what he needed to do
34:27which is stay with Roman Stanek
34:29and keep himself out of trouble
34:31from behind.
34:32A lot of movement
34:33on that front wing
34:33on the left-hand side though
34:34for Gabriele Mini
34:35as he makes his way
34:36through the first sector of the lap
34:38bouncing over that outside curb
34:41in Turn 10.
34:42He's just fallen back.
34:43Look, one second back there, Mini.
34:45Is that going to put him under pressure
34:46from the orange-winged dams
34:48of Crawford from behind
34:50as they move into DRS country
34:52once more?
34:53out front.
34:54Vashor is extending his lead
34:56to 2.3 seconds.
34:59Just a gap update there.
35:01Pepe Marti in a comfortable
35:03third place.
35:04Overdone the top four.
35:06We haven't seen them
35:08in a little while in this race.
35:10This is Jack Crawford,
35:12a battle we've been following now.
35:14He's getting a little bit closer to Mini.
35:16Yeah.
35:16Oh, and a lock-up there for Stanek.
35:18Yeah, Stanek goes wide.
35:20Locks up and goes wide
35:21through the mid-corner of Turn 22.
35:22Interested to see.
35:23How that affects his momentum
35:25onto the long straight
35:26which follows it.
35:28Gap check out front.
35:29Richard Vashor has stabilised
35:31and increased the gap now
35:32from Arvid Lindblad
35:33as Crawford looks once more.
35:36Mini deciding
35:36to take the apex of 22
35:39and dish the DRS down towards Turn 1 this time.
35:42Feeling he's got that gap under control.
35:44Let's see if he's right.
35:45Down the start finish straight.
35:47Mini under pressure here
35:48from Jack Crawford
35:49who's been patient in this race
35:51and now looking to get the rewards from that.
35:54Here he goes down the inside.
35:56Crawford on Mini.
35:57Wheel-to-wheel and contact.
35:59Crawford is round
36:00and that's a real shame
36:02for our pole sitter tomorrow
36:03trying to make the move
36:05on Gabriele Mini for P6
36:07and it's ended in tears
36:08for Jack Crawford
36:09who spins round his season.
36:11Going from bad to worse
36:13in terms of scoring points.
36:15He will score no points again today.
36:17Great opportunity for points
36:19for Jack Crawford
36:20and what a shame.
36:21He just went down the inside.
36:23Mini committed very hard
36:24on the brakes as well
36:25and Crawford cranks the steering wheel
36:28to try and keep it out of the side
36:29of the Prima.
36:30Finds himself backwards in Turn 1
36:32and that looks to me
36:34like he's lost the engine.
36:35We could well see a stoppage here
36:37either a virtual or full safety car.
36:39They're relatively close
36:40to an area where they can recover the car there
36:43so let's see what race control
36:44decide to do.
36:45as you said
36:46we could see
36:47and there we go
36:48safety car is out
36:49and let's see
36:51what happens
36:52in terms of getting this race back started.
36:54Real shame for Jack Crawford
36:56had a great opportunity
36:57at getting some points on the board
36:59ahead of starting
37:00from pole position tomorrow.
37:03It looked like
37:03his approach to this race
37:05and just being patient
37:06was really starting to pay off there.
37:09Had a great chance
37:09to get past Mini
37:11and then possibly go on the attack
37:12for Stanek
37:13but it has ended him
37:15facing in the wrong direction.
37:16Let's have a look at it then.
37:17Crawford's going to
37:18jump to the inside of Mini.
37:20Mini, look at him commit on the brakes
37:22but he's still got the car under control
37:23and there was contact there.
37:25So Crawford
37:26didn't have the braking performance
37:28in the dirty inside line
37:30to get as far as he would have wanted
37:32down the inside
37:33while still retaining control
37:35in the dams
37:36locks up the inside front
37:37things get worse
37:39and clatter
37:39he goes into the
37:41into the side pod of the Prima
37:42and spins the car round.
37:45A real shame for
37:46Jack Crawford
37:47and that's not going to do
37:48his confidence any good
37:50going into
37:51that feature race tomorrow
37:52either.
37:53Alex of course
37:54he'll lead us away tomorrow
37:56not what you want
37:57ahead of
37:57a big race like that.
37:58No, absolutely not.
38:00He could have just used the points
38:02at this stage.
38:02Marshall's doing a quick job
38:04of clearing up.
38:06I wonder if there would be
38:06anybody at the rear of the field
38:08who goes for the
38:09super soft tyre
38:10and I wonder if anybody
38:12won't go for the
38:13super soft tyre
38:14although this may just be
38:16the safety car
38:17bringing them in
38:18through the pit lane
38:19actually
38:20to take them out of
38:22the danger in the first corner
38:23but several drivers then
38:24jumping
38:25for the super soft tyre
38:27which you would do
38:28wouldn't you
38:28if you were out of the hunt
38:29here
38:29to give you something
38:30through the end of the race
38:31so a twist then
38:32in this sprint race.
38:34That's exactly
38:35what we had at Bahrain
38:36albeit a little bit later
38:37Ritoma Miata
38:38has gone for it
38:39and that's one of the
38:40Van Ammer sports
38:41going for it as well
38:42and as you said
38:43you might as well
38:44so two cars
38:45changing
38:46to super soft tyres
38:48the quicker compound tyre
38:49the purple side rule
38:50they have to use
38:51both compounds
38:52in the feature race
38:53tomorrow
38:54with a compulsory pit stop
38:55but essentially
38:57a free stop there
38:58and a chance
38:59to put those
39:00quicker tyres on
39:01and Villa Gomez
39:02was the other driver
39:03to do it
39:04so Ritoma Miata
39:05Villa Gomez
39:06going through
39:06safety car is out
39:08and it looked like
39:09we were getting
39:10that cleared up
39:12very very quickly
39:13so let's see
39:15how soon
39:17we can get
39:17this race back going
39:18so I have
39:21the cars
39:23from Montoya
39:24backwards
39:25on the super soft tyre
39:27at the moment
39:28we'll review that
39:29as and when we can see
39:30all those cars
39:31come out of the pit lane
39:32we've got a safety car
39:33in this lap
39:35and
39:37there are
39:39the safety car
39:41will be
39:42will be coming
39:43into the pit lane
39:44several cars then
39:47going for that softer compound
39:48well
39:51the safety car
39:52is ending
39:53and
39:56John Bennett
39:58will
39:59go through
40:00pit lane
40:01and that will mean
40:03Richard Vashor
40:03will take us
40:04up towards
40:05the line
40:06so John Bennett
40:07just out
40:08of position
40:09there
40:09Richard Vashor
40:11will take us
40:12up towards
40:13the line
40:14he's got to nail
40:15this start now
40:16this is very important
40:17for him
40:17had built a good lead
40:18here Alex
40:18all about getting
40:19this start now
40:20yeah so don't be
40:21confused by Bennett
40:22he's going to go
40:22with the safety car
40:23finds himself
40:24out of position
40:24was captured
40:25by the safety car
40:26Richard Vashor
40:26still the leader
40:27don't be confused
40:28by the full field
40:29going through the pit lane
40:30they were taken
40:31through the pit lane
40:32to keep them
40:32out of the way
40:33the marshal's working
40:33down at turn one
40:34we've got to restart
40:35with Richard Vashor
40:36in first
40:37Lindblad in second
40:38Marty in third
40:39and then it's done
40:40and he's gone
40:41relatively early
40:42out of the final turn
40:43two cars on the
40:45super soft
40:45towards the back
40:46gambling for it
40:47but out front
40:48it's for sure
40:48leading us
40:49across the start
40:50finish line
40:51and it's for sure
40:53leading Lindblad
40:54leading Marty
40:55as they head across
40:56the start finish line
40:57in towards the
40:58breaking zone
40:58we go
40:59and Richard Vashor
41:00leading us
41:01in a three lap
41:02shootout
41:03for this sprint race
41:04here at Jeddah
41:05as they come through
41:06the first sequence
41:07of corners
41:08Richard Vashor
41:09trying to get
41:10that sprint race
41:10win that evaded him
41:11here a year ago
41:13Alex Dunn
41:14trying to add to the win
41:15he got a week ago
41:16and Fornaroli's
41:17cleared Mini
41:18so Fornaroli's
41:19cleared Mini
41:19in the Invicta
41:20Mini's being shuffled
41:21slightly back
41:22and he's now
41:24going to be
41:24under the attention
41:25to Victor Martins
41:26in the ART
41:27great start there
41:29for Gabriele Mini
41:31and the likes
41:32of Leo Fornaroli
41:33down towards
41:34the hairpin
41:35we go
41:35here we can see
41:36on the attack
41:37Victor Martins
41:38on Gabriele Mini
41:39side by side
41:40into the hairpin
41:41this is for
41:42the last
41:43playing points
41:43positions here
41:44round the outside
41:45there
41:45Gabriele Mini
41:46wheel to wheel
41:47with Victor Martins
41:48for P7
41:49absolutely
41:50under pressure
41:51through these last
41:53couple of laps
41:54Gabriele Mini
41:54and he's found himself
41:56with very little
41:57tyre left
41:57hasn't he
41:58look at it
41:58moving around
41:59through the exit
42:00of turn 16
42:02there
42:02and it's going
42:03to be a fight
42:04now for Gabriele Mini
42:05because he's not
42:05got the warm-up
42:06and he's not
42:07got the performance
42:08can he keep that
42:08car in the points
42:09here in the sprint
42:10race
42:10you have to be
42:11within one second
42:12to get that DRS
42:13and Vachauri is
42:14almost breaking it
42:15let's watch
42:16this on board
42:17back
42:17yeah
42:18down the inside
42:19then
42:20this is
42:20Fornaroli
42:21on the restart
42:22making the move
42:23on Gabriele Mini
42:24relatively easy
42:25stuff there
42:25no DRS
42:26required
42:27and DRS
42:27is held
42:28again
42:29just like
42:30at the start
42:30after a safety
42:32car
42:32so it will
42:32be reinstated
42:34once more
42:35after a lap
42:36but that done
42:38on tow
42:38only from
42:39Fornaroli
42:40he must have
42:40gone out
42:40of the final
42:41corner
42:41brilliantly
42:42now
42:43it is done
42:43moving around
42:44the papaya
42:45liveried
42:46McLaren
42:46connected car
42:47moving around
42:48behind the
42:48Red Bull
42:49liveried
42:49machine
42:50and that's
42:51him having
42:51a look
42:51at Marty
42:52just trying
42:52to distract
42:53him down
42:54into that
42:54first turn
42:55Richard
42:55for sure
42:56has almost
42:56broken DRS
42:57there on
42:58Lindblad
42:59there it is
42:59it is enabled
43:00now as they
43:01will head up
43:02towards turn
43:0222
43:03we will see
43:04those flaps
43:04being open
43:06Dunn is right
43:07on the back
43:07of Pepe
43:08Marty
43:08trying to get
43:09back to back
43:10podiums here
43:11Marty
43:11he wants
43:12two podiums
43:13in as many
43:13sprint races
43:14himself though
43:15he was just
43:16denied a podium
43:17last time
43:18out in the
43:18feature race
43:19by Leo
43:20Fornaroli
43:20who is
43:21fighting away
43:22with Gabriele
43:23Mini
43:23made that
43:24move on
43:24the safety
43:25car restart
43:26Victor
43:26Martins
43:27in 8th
43:28place
43:28as they
43:29head round
43:29turn 13
43:31and now
43:32up towards
43:33that DRS
43:33zone Alex
43:34and for sure
43:35has done
43:35everything he
43:36needs to do
43:37here
43:371.2 seconds
43:38to the good
43:38Lindblad
43:39still with the
43:40attentions of
43:41Marty
43:41you can see
43:41the gaps
43:42on the left
43:42hand side
43:43of your
43:43screen
43:43anything
43:43under a
43:44second
43:45will dish
43:46out the
43:46DRS
43:46and that's
43:47what Dunn's
43:47going to
43:47have
43:48but so
43:48is Marty
43:49it'll be
43:49Lindblad
43:50under
43:50slight
43:51pressure
43:51but with
43:52just enough
43:52gap here
43:53to keep
43:53him out
43:54of trouble
43:54down to
43:5422 at
43:55least
43:5519 of
43:5620
43:57we'll be
43:57on the
43:57last one
43:58next time
43:58round
43:59and we're
44:01just hearing
44:01that Richard
44:03Vershaw
44:03has been
44:04given a
44:05five second
44:06penalty
44:06so there's
44:07another twist
44:08in this
44:09race
44:09Richard Vershaw
44:11has been
44:11given a
44:12five second
44:13penalty
44:14something I've
44:14just been
44:15told in
44:16my ear
44:16Alex Dunn
44:17locking up
44:18down towards
44:19the final
44:20corner
44:20so another
44:21twist in
44:22this race
44:23will he be
44:24denied once
44:25again
44:25it looks like
44:26that will be
44:27the case
44:27as they head
44:28down towards
44:29the first
44:29corner
44:30our battle
44:30is now all
44:31about
44:32Lindblad versus
44:33Marty
44:33and they are
44:35just half a
44:35second apart
44:36Alex
44:36yeah half a
44:37second apart
44:38on the road
44:39Richard Vershaw
44:40leads on the
44:42racetrack
44:43and then it is
44:43done in the
44:44road in
44:45behind in
44:46fourth position
44:47but Vershaw
44:48appears
44:49comfortable on
44:50the racetrack
44:50but if there
44:51is indeed
44:51a five second
44:53penalty that
44:53will drop him
44:54way down
44:56into the
44:57middle of the
44:57top five as
44:58a result of
44:58the field being
44:59clustered back
44:59up by the
45:00safety car
45:00so if that
45:01indeed is the
45:02case a
45:02disaster for
45:03Vershaw
45:03and it's for
45:04pushing another
45:05driver off the
45:05circuit
45:06that's being
45:07confirmed to
45:08me
45:08so
45:09so Richard
45:10Vershaw
45:10five second
45:11penalty for
45:12pushing another
45:13driver off the
45:14circuit which
45:15means Arvid
45:16Limblad is on
45:17to make history
45:18and become the
45:19youngest winner
45:20here in
45:21Formula 2
45:22so Pepe
45:23Marti is
45:24currently our
45:25driver in
45:26second and
45:26that means
45:27absolute
45:27disaster for
45:29Richard Vershaw
45:30who will once
45:31again be
45:32denied a
45:33sprint race
45:33win Arvid
45:34Limblad looks
45:35on to make
45:36history here
45:37Alex and be
45:38the youngest
45:38winner in
45:39Formula 2
45:40brilliant stuff
45:41from Arvid
45:41Limblad he's
45:42looked on it
45:42all weekend
45:43long a great
45:44race
45:44from Campos
45:45who put the
45:45car underneath
45:46the drivers
45:47and the
45:47always strong
45:48Invicta
45:49going to be
45:49great points
45:50for Dunn
45:50as well
45:50after his
45:52fantastic
45:53feature race
45:55victory
45:55but Vershaw
45:56rounds the
45:57final corner
45:57and we'll
45:58find out at
45:59the line
45:59well it's a
46:00familiar sight
46:01Richard Vershaw
46:01will lead us
46:02across the line
46:03once again
46:03in a sprint
46:04race here at
46:05Jeddah
46:05but he will
46:06be denied
46:07post race
46:07with a
46:08five second
46:08penalty
46:09so in the
46:09background
46:10Arvid
46:11Limblad
46:11will become
46:12the youngest
46:13winner in
46:14Formula 2
46:15history
46:15Pepe
46:16Marti
46:17will come
46:17across the
46:18line in
46:18second
46:19it's a
46:19Campos
46:201-2 finish
46:21and Alex
46:22Dunn takes
46:23back to back
46:24podiums
46:24Arvid
46:25Limblad
46:26is your
46:26winner
46:27it's history
46:28made in
46:29Formula 2
46:29the 17
46:30year old
46:31to the top
46:32step of the
46:33podium
46:33Pepe
46:34Marti in
46:35second
46:35what a
46:36sight that
46:36is
46:36the two
46:37Red Bull
46:38juniors
46:38are one
46:39to finish
46:40for them
46:40and Arvid
46:41Limblad
46:42well he
46:42made history
46:43in Formula
46:433
46:44at Bahrain
46:45last year
46:45in the
46:46sprint race
46:46becoming the
46:47youngest
46:48winner
46:48in Formula
46:493
46:50and now
46:50he's made
46:51history here
46:52in Formula
46:522
46:53becoming
46:54the youngest
46:54winner
46:55in this
46:56championship
46:56since its
46:57inception
46:58in 2017
47:00Alex Dunn
47:01well he's
47:01proving that
47:02result last
47:03week was no
47:04fluke
47:04third place
47:05back-to-back
47:06podiums
47:06again
47:07Richard
47:07Vershaw
47:08sadly
47:08denied
47:09for a
47:09five-second
47:10penalty
47:11post-race
47:12for pushing
47:13another driver
47:13off the
47:14second
47:14yeah the
47:15Red Bull
47:15driver though
47:15since 2021
47:17fourth place
47:18in the
47:18Formula 3
47:19championship
47:19last year
47:21fantastic
47:22stuff from
47:23Arvid
47:24Limblad
47:24he'll be
47:25really happy
47:25with that
47:26a fantastic
47:27season in
47:28Formula 3
47:28last year
47:29and the
47:29rookie driver
47:30finds the
47:32top step
47:32of the
47:33podium
47:33what a
47:34great day
47:34for him
47:35what a
47:36performance
47:36Arvid
47:37Limblad
47:37coming into
47:39this
47:39championship
47:39on a
47:40track he
47:40had never
47:41even turned
47:42a wheel
47:42on before
47:43he arrived
47:44this weekend
47:45and he goes
47:45straight to
47:46the top
47:47step of
47:47the podium
47:48at his
47:48first attempt
47:49it's something
47:50he did in
47:50Formula 3
47:51Bahrain
47:52last year
47:53turned up
47:54got straight
47:55to the top
47:55step of
47:55the podium
47:56and this
47:56is why
47:57Alex
47:57he is
47:58being linked
47:59heavily
48:00to
48:00Red Bull
48:01Racing
48:01they've
48:02talked about
48:02him last
48:03season
48:03in Formula
48:043
48:04he took
48:05a record
48:05equaling
48:06four wins
48:06there last
48:07year
48:07took that
48:08famous
48:08double
48:09at
48:09Silverstone
48:10and now
48:11he's already
48:11making records
48:12in Formula 2
48:13three rounds
48:13in
48:14great day
48:15for Alex
48:16Dunn
48:17and Pepe
48:17Marty
48:18two drivers
48:18in the
48:20early
48:21championship
48:21contention
48:22Dunn
48:23came into
48:23this weekend
48:25within a
48:26point of
48:27the championship
48:27lead
48:28Marty
48:28a couple
48:29of points
48:29of the
48:30championship
48:30lead
48:30so that'll
48:31vault them
48:32right
48:33to the
48:34sharp end
48:34of the
48:35championship
48:35it continues
48:36to go
48:37well for
48:37those two
48:37what could
48:38have been
48:38for Marty
48:39if he
48:40didn't have
48:41those little
48:41issues
48:42through the
48:42middle of
48:42the race
48:43we saw
48:43him wide
48:43once
48:44and dropping
48:44that position
48:45to Limblad
48:46so he'll
48:48be happy
48:48with that
48:49performance
48:49but thinking
48:50he could
48:51well have
48:51been on
48:51the top
48:52step
48:52there
48:52but at
48:52this
48:53stage
48:53it is
48:55a great
48:56great
48:56result
48:57for
48:57Arvid
48:58Limblad
48:58I've
48:58just got
48:59an incident
49:00involving
49:00Vashore
49:02through as
49:03well
49:03for a
49:04safety car
49:04infringement
49:05has jumped
49:05up on
49:06the race
49:07control
49:07screen
49:07so
49:08unfortunately
49:08there could
49:09be further
49:10discussions
49:10with the
49:10stewards
49:11for the
49:11Dutchman
49:11yep
49:12safety car
49:13infringement
49:14for Richard
49:14Vashore
49:15this sprint
49:15race win
49:16it's almost
49:16like it's not
49:17meant to be
49:18for Richard
49:18Vashore
49:19and that's
49:20a real shame
49:21for the MP
49:22motorsport driver
49:23currently in P4
49:25but these results
49:25are always
49:26provisional
49:27do check the
49:28formula 2
49:29website
49:30for all the
49:31official results
49:32and reports
49:33of them
49:34for now
49:34we see
49:35these great
49:35shots
49:36of Arvid
49:37Limblad
49:37making his
49:38way round
49:39Pepe
49:39Marti
49:40leading that
49:40Campos
49:411-2
49:42finish
49:43what a
49:43result
49:44for them
49:44what a
49:45day for
49:46them
49:46they'll
49:46remember
49:47this one
49:47for a
49:47while
49:48that's
49:48for sure
49:48and Alex
49:49Dunn
49:50as well
49:50that's a
49:52superb drive
49:53for him
49:54that could
49:54elevate him
49:55all the way
