00:00Men of the Nigeria Anti-Illicit Drugs Police, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA have intercepted a set of cocaine shipments concealed in holy books scheduled to be transported to Saudi Arabia through courier service, just as the anti-illicit drugs operatives arrested a 22 years old boy said to be supplying hard drugs to bandits in Kano State.
00:24This occurred during the preceding week which the anti-illicit drugs police personnel were attacked and sustained gunshots injuries during raid at Jahi area of Abuja on Thursday night.
00:35According to the NDLEA, the bandits' illicit drugs supplier hid the drugs inside his private parts and thighs.
00:42NDLEA in a news release on Sunday, stated that the operatives also recovered 563kg skunk, meth, heroin in Bielsa Warehouse, arrested four persons and destroyed cannabis farms in Edo Forest.

01:01Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have intercepted a shipment of cocaine concealed in 20 sets of religious books going to Saudi Arabia.
01:12The cocaine consignment consisting of 20 parcels with a total weight of 500 grams and buried in the pages of the religious books was uncovered at a courier company in Lagos on Tuesday 15 April 2025 when NDLEA offices of the Directorate of Operations and General Investigation, DOGI, was searching through export cargos going to Saudi Arabia at the logistics firm.
01:38At another courier company same day, NDLEA offices intercepted five parcels of loud, a strong strain of cannabis weighing 2.8kg hidden in a carton coming from the United States of America.
01:52In Karno, a 22-year-old supplier of illicit substances to bandits, Mohammed Mohammed, has been arrested by NDLEA operatives on patrol along Bichy.
02:03Karno rode while heading to Katsina with 277 ampoules of pentazocene injection tied to his thigh and private part with sellotape.
02:13He was intercepted on Sunday 13 April, while another suspect, Mohammed Abdulrahman Abdulaziz, 43, was nabbed same day at Research Rim in Nkebe area of Nasrawa, Karno with 68 blocks of skunk, a strain of cannabis, weighing 30 kg.
02:30Not less than 557.2 kg of skunk, 5.6 kg of methamphetamine and 29.8 g of heroin were recovered from a house along Major General Isaiah Allison Street, Apollo, Inagoa, Bielsa State where four suspects were arrested when NDLEA operatives raided the premises on Wednesday 16 April.
02:54The four suspects arrested during the raid include Saramie Suha Curtis, 46, Roland Prosper, 34, Saramie Terpal, 45, and Fidelis Ubezla, 46.
03:10While a total of 1,100 kg of skunk were recovered from a delivery van with the driver, Ishmael Abdullahi arrested in Suralera area of Lagos on Thursday 17 April.
03:22NDLEA operatives in Kaduna on Friday 18 April raided the hideout of a suspect, IKNI-30, in Zaria, where no fewer than 31,950 pills of tramadol-225 mg and diazepam were recovered.
03:41In Kemi, NDLEA operatives on patrol along Bagudo Road on Friday 18 April intercepted a vehicle loaded with bags of charcoal coming from Malibu, Benin Republic.
03:54A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 97 kg skunk concealed in the sacks of charcoal.
04:00Three suspects, Abu Bakr Ibrahim, 50, Mustafa Aliou, 32, and Bashala Wali, 28, were arrested in connection with the seizure.
04:12A 48-year-old Okafor Marcel was nabbed with 11.5 kg skunk at Abitete, Anambra state while NDLEA operatives in Asogbo, Oshun state on Tuesday 15 April arrested Ajala Mercy, 27,
04:28with 43 liters of skutche, a mixture of blackcurrant, cannabis and opioids recovered from her room at Dadaar State, Hallelujah area of the state capital.
04:39Two cannabis farms in Egbetta Forest, Ovia Northeast local government area, Edo state were raided by NDLEA operatives who destroyed 3,717.8625 kg of the psychoactive.
04:54Plant on 1.487-145 hectares and recovered 136.5 kg of processed cannabis.
05:04At the Tincan seaport in Lagos, a suspect who saw an Usman Kiyode, 40, who has been at large for two years was arrested by NDLEA offices in connection with the seizure of 107 kg loud imported from Canada in 2023,
05:21while another suspect, Daudi Yakubu who distributes illicit drugs within the seaport community was arrested by a team of operatives on Monday 14 April.
05:31The war against drug abuse, WADA, social advocacy activities by NDLEA commands equally continued across the country in the past week.

06:06Drivers and others at Peace Mass Transit Park, Upper Aweka, Anitsha, Anambra State, among others.
06:14While commending the offices and men of DOGI, Kano, Lagos, Kaduna, Kebi, Oshin, Zone 13,
06:22Edo and Tincan commands of the agency for the arrests and seizures of the past week,

06:55Three NDLEA officers sustained gunshot injuries, hospitalized.
07:00Three officers of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, have been hospitalized for gunshot
07:08injuries sustained after they came under attack from some armed men during a raid operation in
07:13Jahi area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Thursday night.
07:18The incident occurred when a team of NDLEA operatives acting on intelligence and surveillance report
07:25raided an uncompleted building at NNPC area of Jahi where 74 bottles of codeine, 10 liters of codeine
07:32syrup, 48 grams of tramadol, 225 milligrams and 4.9 kilograms of skunk, a strain of cannabis,
07:41as well as five Android phones were recovered.
07:44As the NDLEA team made their way out of the location, they came under gun attack.
07:51Three of the NDLEA personnel involved in the raid sustained gunshot injuries, one in the
07:57rib and two others on their back and leg.
07:59The wounded officers were initially stabilized at the police clinic in Gaki area 1 before
08:04they were transferred to the National Hospital Abuja for further medical attention.
08:09Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brigadier General Mohammed Baba Mawa, retired, expressed
08:17appreciation to the staff of the police clinic for the prompt support.
08:22He also thanked the Chief Medical Director of the National Hospital who was personally reached
08:27by him for overseeing the treatment of the wounded officers.
08:30The NDLEA boss who is in carno on official engagements also spoke on phone with the injured officers
08:37to wish them quick recovery.
08:39He assured them that the agency will deploy every means at its disposal and work in collaboration
08:44with other security agencies to fish out those responsible for the attack on them, reported
