00:08We are here today. Our fearless leader, Debbie Mazzella, is not with us today, unfortunately,
00:13but Gina Dwyer and I are holding down the fort for her. We're telling you all about what's going
00:20on here at Karma Cat and Zen Dog this month. We're kicking it off, actually. April showers
00:25are bringing May meowers. We're having a big adoption event on May 5th, 6th, and 7th right
00:32here at our Adoption Center in Milltown. We're having extended adoption hours. We're going to
00:37have lots of merchandise available for purchase and we're doing half-price adoptions again. So
00:42mark your calendars May 5th, 6th, and 7th right here at our Adoption Center at Milltown. On May 6th,
00:49we're also going to have our merchandise team at the Franklin Flea Market right over in Franklin
00:55Township from 10am to 2pm. On May 7th, there's Pet Rescue Day in Asbury Park. You'll be able to find
01:02our merchandise team there from 10am to 3pm. Later in May, on May 20th, we'll be at the Woodbridge Street
01:09Fair from 11am to 5pm. Again, check us out, see what merchandise we have available, and come meet
01:16our team. June 4th, looking ahead, is Asbury Park Pride. So mark that on your calendar as well. And of
01:24course, our big event for the year, Paws for Celebration, is going to be Saturday, June 10th.
01:29It's going to be over at the East Brunswick Elks Lodge right on the river, and tickets are on sale now.
01:34So you can click the link below here at magic983.com and check out the tickets for Paws. And I'm going
01:41to turn it over to Gina now, who's going to talk about our volunteer needs. If you've ever wanted to
01:47volunteer for Karma Cat Zen Dog Rescue Society, but you are allergic to cats, or you just don't want to
01:53volunteer with cats, that's totally fine. We have lots of opportunities currently for volunteering
02:00from home, essentially. We are looking for people to join our social media team and help publicize our
02:06adoptable kitties. We're also looking for somebody with writing skills to become a grant writer, join our
02:13grant writing team. We are always looking for crafters to help us make our adorable Karma Cat merchandise. We are
02:21also looking for people to join our fundraising team and people to man our merch tables at our various
02:28events. And as far as volunteering with kitty cats, we are always looking for foster families. If you have
02:37an empty room or a bathroom and you have lots of love, we will set you up with a cat that needs a place to
02:44stay for a few weeks before they're adopted. So click the link below for more information if you're interested in
02:51any of our open positions. Thanks, Gina. And last but not least, we're going to talk to you today about a
02:58couple of our featured adoptables. Our handsome guy Sam Adams is still available. He's a seven year old
03:05black and white male cat. He needs to be the king of his castle though. So if you're looking for a furry
03:10companion for watching TV, or just somebody who can find a sunny spot on a window sill, Sam Adams is
03:18definitely your guy. We've also got Harlow, who's a six year old black and white female cat. She's good
03:24with other animals. So if you want to add to your current pack, she'd be a great addition. And then
03:30we also have Mariah and Sylvie that are here at our adoption center. Mariah is a gray and white six
03:38month old kitten. Sylvie is a black and white long haired eight month old kitten. And these guys are
03:44buddies. So we want to try to send them home together because they just get along so well
03:48and really help to give each other comfort and support. So you can come by our adoption center
03:53anytime during our adoption hours and meet those two lovely ladies. And you can always check out the
03:59website, click the link below and see all of our featured adoptables. Thank you again for joining us
04:06for katiecorner at magic983.com. And we'll talk to you next month.
