00:08i'm debbie mazella and if you see cat hair on my clothes you know exactly where i am it is karmicat
00:14rescue society in milltown and as always we have a lot of events to talk about and a lot of other
00:20things too and we are going to start with the events coming up on september 28th from 10 to 3
00:26and that is going to be milltown day and they will be celebrating here at the max center in milltown
00:32there's going to be a lot of festivities throughout the town if you've ever gone to milltown day you
00:36know it's a fantastic family event so make sure if you're attending you stop by karmicat here
00:42right on main street and check out the adorable adoptables and all the festivities and then after
00:47that it is going to be catsbury park and that is going to be such a fun event at convention hall
00:53in asbury park and that is going to be on october 5th i've attended catsbury park in the past it is
00:59a great little rescue a coffee cafe and they do so many fun things to find animals homes so make sure
01:06if you're heading down the shore for that weekend or that day you stop by and then we've got a big
01:10event to talk about and that is the black cat bash say that three times fast it's going to be october
01:1619th at the elks lodge in east brunswick and here to tell you more about it is volunteer brian
01:22so yeah october 19th we're uh having our first hopefully annual black cat bash uh it'll be a
01:28halloween themed costume party 21 plus it'll be a party there's prizes contests live entertainment
01:34dj uh plenty of fun um tickets are available on our website and we're looking for sponsors as well
01:39that information is also available at karmacat.org and as always there's lots of fun things and lots
01:44of ways that you can get involved in karmacat and support the local rescue here in milltown
01:50and here to tell you about some of those things is lauren as always we encourage people to get
01:55involved by sponsoring one of our animal enclosures here at the adoption center we have townhouses and
02:01apartments it's a monthly donation that helps care for all of our kitties keep them fed and happy and
02:06clean here at the adoption center we are also still running our kitten shower looking for supplies for
02:13our kitties so you can check the website we've got links to our chewy wish list our amazon wish list
02:20anything you can give is hugely appreciated we also have opportunities to get involved here at the
02:25rescue or volunteer from home we're looking for cleaners to help during the week in the weekdays
02:32in the evenings in the weekends in the mornings especially there are even some bi-weekly shifts
02:39available so even if you can't do every week you can sign on for every other week and that would be a
02:44major help we're looking for help with fundraising events merchandise crafting we're looking for help
02:52with our outreach team to help spread the word about karmacat both outreach for events and for social
02:59media if you're a social media guru and want to get involved with helping us to share the word and
03:05spread the news that'd be great and last but not least we're always looking for fosters if you've got
03:11an extra room bathroom space in your home and in your heart to help house one of these kitties before
03:17they're ready for adoption we appreciate all the help you can give and no video would be complete

03:29photos at karmacat.org and on the kitty corner page so here to tell you about the featured adoptables for
03:35this month is gina our featured adoptables for this month are maddie she's a tuxedo she is three years
03:43old super sweet she prefers a calm sort of quiet environment without a lot of hustle and bustle
03:51and her absolute favorite thing is to cuddle up next to you whether it's on the couch or on the bed
03:56she's a little bit playful but mostly chill and would be perfect addition to a chill home also we have
04:06tori who is gorgeous she's mostly white with a couple of little gray splashes she is 12 years old but you'd
04:14never know it um she's a very young at heart she's super duper sweet loves to sit on laps um plays in
04:23small bursts but um definitely loves to just kind of chill out with you she'd be great watching movies
04:30reading a book etc and she's a doll she's got big green eyes um and then we have scooter who is here
04:40and he is uh also a tuxedo and he's five years old he's a little bit on the shy side but warms up
04:48relatively quickly he likes to play he likes to hang out um gets along okay with other cats and um
04:57he's ready and waiting to go to his forever home and last but definitely not least we have leila she
05:04is the unofficial mayor of the adoption center she'll be the first one to greet you at the door leila loves
05:12just about everybody she loves people especially she loves other cats she adores little kittens um and
05:20she's a very sort of low maintenance easygoing girl she's um super pretty she's white and black
05:28and she's just really really friendly and would love a home where she's got a cat or two to play with
05:39or if you happen to foster and you've got kittens coming in and out she'd probably love that so if
05:44you're looking for a cat that's not going to run and hide when you have people over that's going to
05:49come out and mingle with your guests leila is definitely your girl and those are our featured
