00:00Hey everybody, thanks so much for watching our brand new Kitty Corner video here at Magic983.com.
00:10If you're hearing the sound of my voice and you see all the decorations and everything in the background,
00:15you know that I'm at Karma Cat Rescue Society in Milltown.
00:18And we're going to just jump right in with all four paws.
00:21And before we do that, would you like to talk about the events on the events?
00:26No? Would you like to say anything? I heard you're a little bit talkative. No?
00:31Alright, Acorn. Alright, Acorn is camera shy.
00:34So is it okay if I do the events? What do you think?
00:37Meow once for yes, twice for no? Huh? Anything? No? No?
00:41He's like, I have no idea what this is.
00:43Alright then, so we are going to jump right into our events.
00:46First of all, there's a ton of adoption events going on through November.
00:50And you can check our Kitty Corner page and of course,
00:53Karma Cat Rescue Society's socials as well to find out what's going on.
00:58There's a really, really cool thing happening and it's Meowmas Day.
01:02It is kitten yoga at Hush Studio.
01:04And it's going to be November 17th starting at 10am.
01:08And actually, Lauren is going to be your yoga instructor for this.
01:13So that is going to be a lot of fun.
01:15And Lauren has been instructing and doing some yoga lately.
01:18And I've been seeing all of your things floating around on the socials.
01:21So this will be something that you really maybe want to check out.
01:24Maybe there will be cats there.
01:26There will be cats there.
01:28Now I understand the Meowmas Day.
01:30I just thought it was a cute name.
01:32Alright, so we also have some merch events to tell you about.
01:35November 9th at South Brunswick High School.
01:37It is their Project Graduation Fundraiser.
01:40And it's from 10 to 4.
01:42And then November 30th, the Asbury Fresh Holiday Market at Bell Works in Holmdale,
01:4611 to 4.
01:47And December 7th, the Winter Pop-Up Market at Town & Country Inn in Keyport.
01:52And that is also 11 to 4.
01:54So I know that was a mouthful.
01:56We will have it all in the Kitty Corner page if you need a little refresher.
01:59But Meowmas Day, that is at the top of my list.
02:03And that's going to be November 17th, 10 a.m. at Hush Studio.
02:07So we have somebody new to introduce you to here on our Kitty Corner video.
02:11And she's going to tell you a little bit about herself and how she came to Karmacat
02:15and tell you how you can make a quick monthly donation if you can't volunteer
02:20to support your favorite local rescue.
02:22Hi, everyone.
02:23My name is April.
02:24I'm an Animal Care Coordinator here at Karmacat.
02:27And one of the best ways you can help us is by sponsoring a townhouse or an apartment.
02:31It's a monthly donation.
02:33It will automatically be taken out and it helps us care for our kitties.
02:35And you also get a fun little shout-out on that townhouse or apartment
02:38that says sponsored by and your name.
02:40So definitely check that out.
02:41It's a great option for us and it's a great way to help us out in our kitties.
02:44Hi, everyone.
02:45I will talk to you a little bit today about volunteers.
02:49We need help.
02:52Great opportunities.
02:54Yeah, seriously.
02:55Great opportunities to help either here at our adoption center or from the convenience
03:00of your own home.
03:01Whatever works best for you.
03:03We are looking for cleaners to help come in and feed the kitties in the morning.
03:08Make sure anybody who needs medication gets their medication.
03:12Make sure everybody's eating well and taking care of all of that stuff.
03:16We have both morning and evening shifts available weekdays and weekends.
03:21So please feel free to fill out the volunteer application on our site.
03:25We need help with fundraising and events.
03:27So if you love planning events, if you are a fundraising guru, please reach out.
03:32We would love to have your help.
03:34Merchandise and crafting.
03:36We have a whole crafting team.
03:37So if you love to crochet or sew or knit or anything, that's a great way to help out
03:45Karmicat Rescue Society and keep our merch events that Debbie talked about earlier fully stocked.
03:52We could always use help with social media.
03:54If you want to help us with getting posts up for Instagram and Facebook and everywhere else,
03:59we could use that help.
04:01And also, of course, fostering.
04:03If you have an extra space in your home and can help care for a kitty for a little while,
04:08we always could use the help adding fosters to our team.
04:12And I'll turn it over to Gina who will tell you about our featured adoptables this month.
04:16My favorite thing to talk about.
04:18This month we have Maddie.
04:20Maddie is three years old.
04:21She's a tuxedo.
04:22She's super, super sweet.
04:24Her favorite thing to do is either sit in a sunny window or cuddle with you in bed or on a couch.
04:31She's a very easygoing, low maintenance kind of cat.
04:35Very sweet.
04:36She's three years old.
04:38And then we have Tori.
04:40Tori is white with brown tabby markings.
04:43She's absolutely stunning.
04:45She's got big green eyes.
04:47Tori is 100% lap cat.
04:49She loves nothing more than to cuddle on your lap.
04:52She prefers that to food or toys.
04:55Although she is playful.
04:57She's 12 years old and she's still playful.
04:59And she's also super, super sweet.
05:02And last of all, we have Scooter.
05:05And Scooter is a five-year-old tuxedo.
05:08And he is also a very, very nice boy.
05:11Sort of easygoing.
05:14Doesn't really require a lot of like crazy things.
05:19He just likes to hang out, watch a movie with you.
05:22He likes to play.
05:24And he's very friendly.
05:26He likes people.
05:27So if you're interested in Maddie, Tori or Scooter or any of the other cats that we have available,

05:37So if you ever wondered why we partner with Karma Cat, it is all these reasons and then some.
05:43I mean, these are just three of the volunteers that are here on a daily, weekly basis.
05:48But there are so many more people that are behind the scenes.
05:51When you come into the rescue, you would never realize the amount of work that goes into it
05:58because they make it look effortless.
06:00When people come in to check out the adoptables or maybe get more information,
06:04the place is spotlessly clean.
06:06The animals are always well cared for.
06:09These people leave with a sense of,
06:11wow, this place is in my own community and they are doing so much good work.
06:15So please, if you want to volunteer, foster or if you want to sponsor the townhouse or the apartments,
06:22they would definitely appreciate it.
