00:49Okay, uh, nandito na naman ako. Thank you very much to Rise and Shine Pilipinas for always accommodating us.

00:57Mr. Universe Philippines is the new franchise holder, is the three of us.

01:04Okay, congratulations!

01:06So this is the fourth year of Mr. Universe which is based in India and the winner for the Mr. Universe Philippines will compete and will be sent to India this August.

01:16Oh, malapit na rin.

01:17Oo, oo, oo. May ilang months preparation to Megan naman. Yes.

01:22Ano naman ang advocacy ng Mr. Universe Philippines?

01:27Mr. Universe Philippines aims to protect the earth and aims to protect the environment.

01:35Tapos may special advocacy kami for the animals.

01:37Okay. So yun talaga yung main advocacy ng Mr. Universe. Tapos we also have charity events ng mga children. So we're gonna do feeding programs when we're all complete and ready.

01:50So sa mga, lalo na yung mga, kasi uso yung fire ngayon. So left and right yung mga fire, because it's the heat of the country. So actually ginagawa na namin siya na tumutulong kami dun sa mga nasusunugan.

02:10Ano yung, Prof. Dennis ah, well, it's something new that you are here sa ganitong pageant industry.

02:15Kasi si Sir Dennis, he's actually known as a political analyst. I wonder how will you put that into the table, ano? Ito magkasali ba?

02:23And he is the chair of the Department of Social Sciences of USP.

02:27Ay, I know!

02:28Kaya gabi yung mga social, I mean yung question and answer portion.

02:34I mean, this is something new for me, ano. Tama ko, I came, I come from a different field, academia and politics.

02:42So, this is very weird for me, ano. But this is a pleasant experience so far.

02:46Plus, nakakatulong pa ako dun sa advocacy na part.

02:49Kasi, I mean, to, of course, sabi niyo nga, analysis of various political issues.

02:56Dun ko naman, dun naman ako nakakatulong sa, dito sa ano na ito, pageant, ano.

03:01Yung social relevance, political, you know, yung awareness and so on and so forth.

03:08So, ayun, weird but I'm enjoying it.

03:12And actually, maganda rin na doon na parang immerse sila sa mga social and political issues, yung mga candidates.

03:18Totoo yan, alam mo, ang daming ang issue na lumalabas o yung mga kabataan, hindi na masyadong aware or educated sa mga social issues.

03:25So, napakaswerte, no, nandito si Prof. Dennis.

03:29I remember, Megan, the last time she guested here, she was promoting for Miss Youth International.

04:08Actually, kasi last, hindi siya nakapag-prepare.

04:12Last minute, kasi yung dalawa from Pampanga and from the provinces,

04:16hindi na ka rin, himugot siya this morning.

04:24What do you do and what advocacy will you bring in dito sa Mr. Universe?

04:28Actually, I have my own business.

04:29Not really a business.

04:30I do buy and sell consoles.

04:31So, I've been joining competitions for like 10, 11 years now.

04:36So, I was like 16 years old when I first started.

04:41Something about myself, maybe I think I was a call center agent before.

04:48Okay.

04:49So, I make sure to earn money from that.

04:52Then, I started doing my business.

04:54Actually, I stopped making a pageant for like 4 or 5 years.

04:58What made you decide na bumalik ulit?

05:00Ah, nagkasakit kasi ako.

05:02So, I was really fat that time.

05:04Then, nagkasakit ako, pumayat ako.

05:05Sabi ko, since payat ako, why not mag-join kalao ulit?

05:09So, take advantage, right?

05:13Maka may iuwi mo pa ang title.

05:45He's really good sa mga, yeah, he's been a great volunteer, lalo na sa mga rescue animals, and part siya dun sa mga group na nag-save.
