00:54It's like it's important for us children to like
01:23remember is that not many people know about this like remembrance of a certain person
01:32so we all came together and basically paid our respect.
01:38And it's just important because not many people also like really pay respect or anything.
01:45Some people haven't really got the chance to learn about this certain genre.
01:50So what have you been, you write poems and I saw you lay some flowers at the graveside today.
01:58So what have the poems been about?
02:02Um, the poems have been about generally the Anzac and Thomas Hunter himself.
02:09Um, how like we would pay with how to like, his history and the poem was mainly about his death and how he died on his own.
02:23Well I think considering that he came here and died here and didn't have any family here,
02:30I mean he was a hero at this time, let's tell the truth.
02:34You know, it's a great thing that the people of Peterborough remember what he did for us all.
02:38Well, British Legion is the custodian of remembrance and it's very important that we keep remembering those who passed away and served our country.
02:48And this, Sergeant Hunter, was born in Australia and he fought at Gallipoli, ended up at the Somme, got injured and then ended up in Peterborough,
02:59where he passed away sadly and had his funeral in Peterborough, which was attended by 2,000 people, which was, it was almost like a state funeral for the city.
03:12And it's one of those things that connects us with something that happened over a hundred years ago and it's something that we need to remember.
