00:00I think we probably all expected this kind of clause to be activated,
00:03but I think it, for me anyway, it brings about the bigger question of,
00:06it still sticks with me, the sort of interview Malky McKay did with Sky at the start of the season,
00:11where he spoke about this great reset that was going to come this summer.
00:16We've now seen the coaching staff extended to 2026.
00:19Lewis Miller talks about, obviously, Rocky Bashiri, I'm sure, is one they'd like to keep.
00:25Jack Iredale has extended his stay.
00:26Jordan Smith has recently, you know, committed his future.
00:32Chris Caden.
00:33Chris Caden as well.
00:34So it feels like, it feels less and less likely that we're going to see that,
00:39and we're going to see evolution rather than revolution.
00:42They've managed it very well.
00:45They've managed it certainly in the ones they want to keep now.
00:47We've still got players out on loan and elsewhere who have contracts that aren't expiring yet,
00:53so there will still be, I don't know if you can call it natural wastage or turnover or whatever it is,
00:57they're still going to have to do, on paper it will still look like a lot of business,
01:01but I think you're right to point out there is it feels like the squad is relatively settled.
01:06It's not like there's going to be a massive turnover in that squad.
01:10Maybe Rocky, for the sake of the season, maybe Martin Boyle, we're not sure what happens there.
01:14But, yeah, there's not, they've managed to get ahead of the game as much as they can,
01:23so they're not faced with another summer of, you know, he made 12 signings in the summer window last year,
01:31and that was just adding to a squad because they couldn't get rid of people
01:34and they were trying to get rid of people.
01:35Yeah, it's been quite interesting to watch.
01:41I wouldn't be surprised if there was another deal or two announced before the end of the season.
01:49I didn't say the Friday before the Rangers game or something like that,
01:52if a boost was needed, suddenly there was someone signing a new deal.
01:57I haven't even turned my thoughts, by the way, to looking at this,
01:59but at some point in the back of my head is there this,
02:01I'm going to have to look at this in mid-May, aren't I?
02:04Oh, who's still on the Hibs books?
02:06All these lone players that you've forgotten about went away.
02:10And, of course, there's lone players leaving,
02:11and then, and ones they want to keep, you know, Triantus.
02:15We're all watching Sunderland, thinking,
02:17well, what works best for Hibs is the playoffs.
02:20If Sunderland will get to the Premier League, maybe they won't.
02:23They'll be like, oh, we can just keep holding nectar
02:24because we need to get someone more ready for the Premier League.
02:27Kouarevic will be away.
02:29I can't remember who else, but, yeah,
02:32still going to be a high turnover.
02:33I just won't feel, like you say,
02:34we won't feel that way because they've gotten ahead of it
02:37and tied these guys down.
