00:00What advice would I give to my younger self? Just to do, do it, push yourself, go out of your comfort zone and you can, you are capable of doing it if you put your mind to it.
00:16In Ted Lasso, he talks about the goldfish, so you don't overthink things for more than 10 seconds and I think that's really important to keep on moving forward.
00:27And also I think I tell myself when I was younger, I never thought that I would be as brave maybe as I've been in going through certain roles in my career and everything.
00:41So I tell myself be brave and I would say, remember what Ted Lasso said about the goldfish and don't overthink things for more than 10 seconds.
00:50The advice I give to my younger self would be dare to dream. You don't always have to take the conventional route into being a lawyer, working in sport, take risks, you never know what might come your way and just be brave.
01:05I've always been happy to be in the background, working myself off in the background, never been one to push myself forward and maybe, I don't know, maybe I should have done a little bit more of that.
01:18But I've been really happy doing what I've been doing. I've dealt with all sorts of aspects, different aspects of international rugby in all those years and I really enjoyed it.
01:30So I don't really think I can give myself, yeah, pick myself up off anything other than say I maybe should be a little bit better at doing this type of thing.
01:39The advice I would give my younger self would be don't say no. Always believe in yourself and you never know where you would go places you can never even imagine in your wildest dream.
01:58Believe in yourself and just keep pushing through because like rugby is all about resilience.
02:04there's always going to be a positive outcome if you just keep pushing forward, if you just keep, you know, just keep going, don't give up.
02:13That's why I would advise myself.
